Ok, I know that tiktok is a cesspool full of literal children, but I feel like it’s so prevalent among zoomers that we can talk about it here. This shit has and will have a massive influence in the way my generation is developing.

I don’t follow any tiktok “drama” and yet even I know about this freaking couch dude because it’s everywhere else. I won’t lie, it’s a shady, kinda funny video, but the comments on it and the responses that the couple made are insane. The sheer number of people who are convinced that they basically know these people is scary. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be either the guy or the girl when literally anything you post is met with a flood of comments who claim to know the truth. It must be a “parasocial” thing, or maybe the result of the “true crime” craze?

Went for a teeth whitening Monday morning, seemed to be some improvement shortly after but now they seem back to what they used to be really. So I'm pretty disappointed. Whitening strips never seemed to work for me either. I had a tray made with some solution I can use moving forward, so I'll give that a shot. Not sure if anyone else has had a similar experience? All other stories I hear seem to be how an in-office treatment worked great for them so 🤷‍♂️

Long distance running and dating had a lot of parallels to me. When you start out running you try to push yourself. You meet people who you train harder then. Who you train longer then but they run so much faster.

You try to ignore the pain but eventually though you start to get injured. At first its not too bad but they build up. Then you get your first major injury and you have to stop because pushing forward does more harm then good. Eventually you realize that the need to push yourself is a problem. It leads you to more injury. You want to run like you used to but you know what happens if you push too hard.

You look around and you realize everyone you used to run with has moved on. You are the only one left running. Everyone else you ran with moved on and you realize that you are one of the older guys. You want to be like you were like you were young but you are taught over and over that the injuries that you have built up mean you will never be able to run like you used to.

So everytime you start running now you are super aware to stop the moment you feel pain, lest you sideline yourself for a few weeks or another year in therapy (physical). And you meet others who say they will never stop. And you try to tell them its not really your choice. But they think they are invincible and so you sit back and let life tell them they are no different then all the others you have met. People who thought they were smarter or they had more will.

That you think they know what it means to be injured but they dont. How one injury leads to another injury and the very will that brought you here is the same emotion that will force you to stop. Then you meet them a few days and ask them about their running. They say they haven't been running much and I don't ask anymore because I know the answer. It's easier to run a marathon then it is to get a date

I was watching a basketball podcast and one of the guys said being injured is harder then playing. That is something I would not have understood in my 20's or even early 30's.

So yeah, in other news I tried apologizing to this girl I salted. We had met over a year ago in the thick of covid. She was too naive and trusting, like most of these girls probably. You pride yourselves on being high quality, career driven, independent women. Which is fine. HVM who are educated and career driven want women who are on their level.

If you two are peers, and of the same level, why not spend your money too? The phrase HVM implies that the man is quality. So it’s implied that this man cooks, cleans, is kind, generous, and doesn’t subscribe to misogynistic views.

When presented with a man of this quality, if you two earn the same or similar money, and he does his fair share of housework, why are you repulsed at the idea of spending your money?

-any time he was frustrated he would resort to door slamming, throwing shit, and yelling

-he had a cocaine addiction and when i would try to tell him to stop he would get so angry with me and just do more and get angrier

-constantly accusing me of infidelity despite me never doing that, he was the one who got caught being suspicious multiple times

So what's the point here? That she was never considering him a bad guy, an asshole, an abuser or whatever before, because she "never thought this would happen, but I wrote off all of his violent tendencies as non-harmful to me".

And that's all there is to the asshole discussion. For women the only thing that matters, the only difference between an asshole and a "great guy" is whether she is on the receiving end of that behavior. This guy can burn the world, can kill people, can demolish everything, but it's all fine as long as she doesn't suffer from it - in her yes this guy is actually a great, confident and a genuinely nice man.

I’ve seen a therapist for depression and family issues recently, and it is amusing to me hearing from her the issues she’s heard young women have with dating where they can’t find a good guy to commit. Especially on OLD.

I honestly doubt it’s that much of a real issue. My sister found her current partner and the father of the child she’s expecting on Tinder of all places… but he’s short. I’m average height and I’m like half a foot taller than he is. If she’d dated guys the same height as she was dating before (average/tall), she never would have met him.

I don’t identify as Red Pill or Blue Pill but it’s kind of undeniable that a lot of women will chase fuckboys with classically handsome features or “bad boys” and Pikachu face that the guy is an a-hole who was only using them for sex or won’t commit after banging them.

None of my friends who are girls are like that so obviously not every single woman is like that but it seems like a major trend to me. Even my sister went through a period where she picked shitty guys for apparently no reason.

I have concluded that there are only two types of women on PPD. Let's call them "Ghost" and "Cunt".

It seems that much of society's woes (particularly in the west where people tend to have more dimorphic and calorically expensive features i.e. taller, wider frame, more curvy etc.) are coming from fisherian runaway. The good looking people are already attractive and get what they want out of life (for the most part), whereas the less beautiful people have to grind and hustle for every last scrap, then of course the attractive people who are lazy and sheltered are the ones making all the babies and hold the most power in society. Its easy to see where this could lead to major societal problems.

It has been shown that work ethic and intelligence are very inversely correlated with attractiveness (moreso in men than women)
