It's peak male audacity as well as something of a self-fulfilling prophecy perpetuated by the RP/PUA/manosphere. Young men are told to sleep around, wreck their bodies with fast food and alcohol, neglect their health and long term appearance (like skincare), and treat women as disposable because none it matters when they'll be able to snag a hot 22 year old after the men hit the wall and can't get Tinder dates anymore. This phrase is very popular only because men have been repeating it for what seems like ages as a form of gaslighting women. In the past, most women have largely depended on men for their livelihoods and weren't as empowered so they just ate up the narrative.

In our modern times, contemporary women are far more independent and don't need men for shit so we are far less likely to even listen or pay attention to the bullshit that comes out of them.

I mean ... just go look through any dating app in rl or dating app stuff on reddit. The majority of the men are honestly ... 4-5/10 even in their 20s. There is a HUGE inequality in looks between men and women.

I've started to creep these subs for a good laugh, I almost feel bad for these guys when they've sent out 1000s of yeses to women and only get 20 yeses in response. They don’t peak physically (obviously) but LV men DO acquire power (to get women) as they age. As they get older and have enough life experiences they finally start to understand women. They know what women like to hear, how we like to be treated, etc. Do they use this knowledge and wisdom to foster powerful relationships with women? Nope. They use this information to manipulate. They fake sincerity. They say the right things and do the right things. And that’s it. It works. The only catch is that this will clearly only work on young, inexperienced women. But they gloss over that sick fact by attributing everything to their looks and “maturity”. Some of them are deluded and stupid enough to believe they are truly desired, but most of them aren’t stupid. Most of them are just playing dumb. They know. They know what they’re doing. They know they’re cruel, deceitful and selfish. They know they age way worse than women. They know that women in their 30s and up are obviously wiser and are not easy prey. They know young women aren’t actually physically attracted to older men (not ones who are THAT much older than them).They know they’re exploiting, manipulating and hurting young women. But it’s for their dicks and their egos. So they justify it.

I’m really curious…what does “peak” mean and where does it come from? Is it based on sexual market value or something? If so that’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard. All humans are at “peak” fertility AND health in youth and it declines with age. It’s not hard to understand that we ALL decline with age, MEN and women. Is this some dumb marketing-ploy to women? in their mid twenties, some men can look like they are 30 or 30+. this includes: baldness, beer belly, deep wrinkles, bad posture. I have seen too many men with scoliosis and bow legs who walk as if they have shat their pants or who toe walk and do nothing to correct it. not to mention terrible skin and bad teeth. men don't care about their bodies. they buy axe shampoo/shower gel, 7 in 1 product and would rather get implants than wash their teeth regularly to prevent cavities. of course, they also don't spend money on something so frivolous as spf facecream. instead, they grow a pube-like beard to hide the lack of chin and the horrible acne and chicken pox scars.

Thinking of my ex I dumped a couple of years ago who was 6 years older them me. He already had gross wrinkly face skin and was getting a beer gut when we broke up.

Now I'm the same age he was when we split and I'm still waiting for my first wrinkle. Still maintaining my weight and don't drink nearly as much as he does so I'm going to be in much better shape in my 40's that he is.

I've also doubled my income in the last couple years and he's still doing the same old thing. And bald.

He always treated me like I was worth less than him. Now he's a middle aged gross old guy who I'd never look twice at, even though he was pretty handsome at 32.

I’ve known met who were hot into their 20s but became sluggish and ugly into their 30s due to not looking after their appearances and living unhealthy lifestyles.

And vice versa, guys who in their 20s you wouldn’t pay attention, who later got into fitness, healthy lifestyles and changing their wardrobes and up their games. Guys I know who looked good in their 20s and still do at 30s are men that were extremely conscientious about their appearances and taking good care of themselves, in my circle, this is mainly gay friends that people ironically used to mock as Diva for their high maintenance routines, knowing a lot about skin care often more than the women in the cliques etc.

Looking good in your 30s has more to do with basic understanding that your body will become less forgiving of unhealthy choices and the consequences will start to be noticeable on your physic.

Myself I look much better in my 30s than I did in my 20s living a party lifestyle, now I have more money and choose to invest it in maintenance, healthy lifestyles and proper clothes.

Growing more confident, mature and tackling your mental health issues also can play a pretty huge part in how you’re gonna age and look. Anxiety, mental health issues make you more inclined to unhealthy behaviors and habits after all. How someone looks and present themselves in their 30s tell much more about their person than just good genetics (which really don’t amount to much if you’re not going to take care of yourself anyway; I’ve been blessed in the skin department and I never got any wrinkles of years of smoking, but I’d still look blemish when I was unrested and it would affect other area of my body when I was still smoking).

The best looking man I know in his 50, my uncle’s ex husband, while eats healthy and exercise regularly is not an absolute health nuts, he enjoys going out for drinks and the likes, but is a very emotionally grounded man, with a rich life in many areas and has always been generous with his closed ones.

His marriage finished because of my uncle turning out to grow as a big LV and doing something very LV, but his ex did not turn bitter or held resent after it. He just went on with his life gracefully, moved abroad for a very good job opportunity he was offered and is living his best life at 50s.

I think this positive and abundance mindset contributed to him aging well, beyond taking good care of himself on a physical health level.

On on the other hand, the selfish LV in my family did not age so well. My uncle on the other hand has much more wrinkles, is lower maintenance than he used to be, while in his young days he used to be a very handsome man, lot of women found him attractive. but now he’s growing an ugly person both on the inside and outside, holding a lot of bitterness as he think he realized what he lost and that lot of people grew to find his ex husband much more likeable than himself.

I think my bf(33) is objectively hotter now than in his 20s. He was a bit of an ugly duckling (slightly overweight, never really worked out, bad dress sense, thick glasses) and has over the last 2-3 years began working out (for health and fitness reasons mostly) and has changed shape and now looks objectively more masculine and handsome. He's improved his wardrobe, started using contact lenses full time and tweaked his hairstyle so that it suits his face better. He has one or two grey hairs (which I don't mind because I've got a HUGE mallen streak myself that he's quite complimentary about) but no wrinkles and takes care of himself in terms of sleep, diet and skincare. I've not really done any of this apart from occasionally giving an opinion like "I like the blue shirt best" or telling him I think working out with a trainer is doing him good. I do think he is an exception though - I look up lots of the "hot guys" from uni and these days they have hit the wall, HARD.
