This came up in a comment I saw recently from a guy who said this:

And anytime a man doesn't wanna date for example a tranny, or fatty, he's transphobic, fatphobic. Any male standard is criticized.

I see this in this subreddit a lot. Women can be picky, want 6'10 billionaires with huge dicks and full heads of hair, but if a man dares to want a woman within a healthy BMI, then he's a fatphobe, racist, transphobe, etc etc. Men just aren't allowed to have standards these days and the only women left are 600 lb exotic zoo creatures, etc.

And, to be fair, I have seen men receive criticism for their preferences. Whether it's guys being roasted for having "I have 5 kids, but SINGLE MOMS SWIPE LEFT!" or other ridiculous shit.

What guys fail to recognize is that nobody gives a shit if you have a preference. We care if you're a dick about it.

The majority of men will not want to date fat women, so they will not match with them.

The majority of men will not want to date drug addicts, so they will not match with them.

The majority of men would prefer not to date single moms, so they will not match with them.

The majority of men would prefer not to date broke, homeless women, so they will not match with them.

These are perfectly reasonable, and some blue-haired liberal does not jump out of your phone and start shrieking when you swipe left on a woman whose weight you can't bench.

You WILL get DESERVED criticism when you act like women you don't want to fuck are disgusting, just because they have the audacity of not making your peepee happy.

If you can't express your attraction without being a huge piece of shit about it, then yeah, you'll get called out for saying rude shit. If you absolutely have to use the word "slut" or "bitch" to describe a woman you aren't attracted to, then you will and should get criticized.

Women, too, get equally flamed for having ridiculously high standards. There was a TikTok a while back, one of those egregious street interviews, where an obviously fat lady was saying she wouldn't date under 6". And she got roasted to shit. And she wasn't even being rude about it, she just stated her preference.

Women also should take the responsibility of not demeaning men who they aren't attracted to, this isn't exclusive to men, I just see men bemoaning the criticism they receive for having preferences more than women do because women are less likely to complain about "fatties" and "trannies" to the same extent, and women don't feel personally offended by men they aren't attracted to nearly as often.
