[PSA as we're in straw-man city PPD: I am NOT saying the below is a good or bad thing, merely relaying my experiences]

Basically the title.

A lot of the younger guys on here often say things like: "well, men had it just as bad in the [insert pre-social media decade]"

In my experience, I think this is patently untrue. I think because they grew up around it, a lot of young people forget the sheer impact that the internet has had on inter-gender relations.

For example, many of my uncles are short, brown dudes who came to the UK around the 60s (admittedly they worked their way into good jobs like snr care, accounting, etc.)...but I mean these guys literally look like ethnic gollum...literally every one of them tells me how they rarely went home alone after clubbing.

A lot of the younger guys will be like "huh, big fish"...well I would too if it wasn't for almost every one of these examples having quite attractive wives (sometimes even white women).

This story repeats itself even outside of my family group, speaking to family friends and relatives who are older.

Imo, the world has really changed post internet.
