Are first class passengers really better off than people in coach in modern air travel?

I know it’s common to see poor people in coach complaining about having no legroom, running out of overhead space, having to wait to get off, not being able to recline, having to wait to use the lavatory, being treated like cattle, etc.

However are first class flyers really better off? Yeah they have way more room, their own menu, their own restrooms, hot towels, complimentary wine, a screen so that their section doesn’t have to look at the poor people, and they get to sit and leave first. But at the end of a long flight I can see how tired they are too.

I see alot of lonely women, yeah they can get dick whenever they want. But I see so many single women walking their dogs alone. They look sad - despite what the "strong and empowered single woman" type copers say.

Not to put too fine a point on your observations, but do all these women actually look "sad"? Like, I'm imagining a bunch of mopey or depressed looking women just trailing behind their dogs and it's such a bizarre mental picture.

I don't have a dog, but I'll go for a walk in my local park with one of my snakes a few times a month. (Yes, that's atypical, but it's nice to sit and read in the sun with them.) I also see a bunch of single women and men walking their dogs...none of them look sad. Resting bitch face? Yeah. Neutral face? Yup. Slight frown or smile if they're on the phone? Yes. But most people aren't going to be hanging out for long periods of time in a public park if they're actually sad.

My question is, how do you know they're emotionally distraught or regretting their singlehood, rather than just...y'know, not actively smiling? I've been told my normal resting face looks like I'm slightly upset, but even my crazy ass isn't going to be randomly smiling at the squirrels and trees just so some random onlooker doesn't write a reddit post about how "lonely" I am. 😆

It's not online dating that is making women miserable, it's that women naturally have high expectations and lately society has really been fucking them by telling them their expectations are not just healthy, but necessary. This leads women to be constantly let down. I thought marriage would make me feel like a disney princess but instead it's just having to wash twice as many dishes every day. If you listen to incels, they say that loneliness and a lack of connection and intimacy is what makes them unhappy more than a lack of sex.

There’s lots going on in our culture.

The breakdown of traditional religion. Good riddance but nothing is taking over the sense of community and connections church provided.

Living our lives online. And all that entails in terms of being able to physically isolate or communicate anonymously.

Generations of people who are worse off than their parents in terms of being able to independently support themselves and have hopes of raising a family.

Politicians using culture wars and inter group conflicts to maintain power. Pew research show we are at an all time high in dislike of people with views different than our own. To the point we don’t want them in our families or as our friends. Add the media stoking the conflict for clicks.

None of this has to do with who asks who out or who gets more matches on dating apps. Which is an issue, sure. But as long as we focus on just that, we aren’t getting to why people are feeling lonely and hopeless. And I think the bitter conflict between men and women may be one of those divisions being stoked.

Absolutely. The % of women that men find attractive is greater than the % of men that women find attractive.They can easily use guys for free meals and get sex with attractive men even if they themselves are only average looking. This is further exaggerated by the gender imbalances that exist on nearly every dating app. They can spend their youth hooking up and exploring their sexuality with guys who are 6ft tall, muscular, attractive and well endowed and still reasonably settle down with an average looking guy who earns 20-50% more than they do. Men's complaints are not having enough options. Women's complaints are that they have too many options and that they can only get sex from the hot guys which is more than what the average guy gets with hot women.

Doesn't matter if you think they look sad. If they say they are happy and that men need women more than women need men we should believe them.

Don't give them pity or sympathy that they aren't asking for.

From a mans perspective getting easy sex sounds great. However deep down I don’t believe the average girl would feel great about having many ONS. They place more value on relationships and the older she gets the less attractive she is to men in general.

Lonely but able to get sex and attention is probably slightly better than just lonely. But I think what hurts women is being pumped and dumped. I don’t think most women enjoy that and so they eventually just check out all together. Many single women are also sexless probably the difference between sexually active single men and women are the women who have yet to experience the sting of being in the hook up culture.

Being hateful is, of course, never productive. But any realistic solutions have to occur at the individual level, since a widespread swing towards strict monogamy seems unlikely to happen. At the individual level for women, it's widely accepted in the manosphere that the solution is simply "Don't get too greedy having meaningless flings forever; find a husband relatively early." For sexless men, the only real solution (aside from dropping out of the game) is to learn pickup artistry or somehow make themselves more sexually attractive.

What else can be done beyond that? You can't put the Tinder genie back in the bottle.

My brother and his partner have a dog, and usually only one person walks it. She walks it more than him since she’s the one who wanted the dog and he’s also away for work. I’m sure his partner could look “sad” to some people when she walks the dog alone but no that’s just part of having the dog, unless you’re wealthy you probably have to work to afford a dog and working means both people may not be available to walk it together every time. I know other women who walk their dogs alone often too. Walking a dog alone without smiling does not mean a woman is sad and single (and if she’s indeed single she’s not necessarily straight , not necessarily wanting a partner, could even be a widow.)

From realtionships point of view, hot girls (8-9) are much worse actually, imho.

Previously hot girls (8-9) were able to pair up (and marry) with hot men (8-9), because it was the main way for those men to get sex. Currently, hot men (8-9) can easily bang 5-6-7 without the need to date / commit to 8-9, i.e. why date if you can just bang? Sure, banging 8-9 is much nicer, but the amount of work required for a bang is huge (when dating). That left out hot girls (8-9) with a very few hot guys who want to commit.

Imho, the biggest winners from hookup culture are confident 7 guys. Previously, for 7 man it was not easy to pair up with 8-9 girl. But now, some of 8-9 will be happy to date 7 guys assuming there are no other outstanding issues with this man. I am not saying it's easy for 7 men to get 8-9 girl, but it's doable via good game and self-improvement.

As for 5-6-7 girls. Well, they are getting sex with 8-9 guys, so I guess it's an improvement for them too. The question is how much those memories are later a problem (especially when comparing to average men they are settling with eventually).

As for 5-6-7 guys. It sucks, unless we are luckly enough to find game and are willing to work on ourselves. Which is what maybe 10% of men do.

But it isn't like we have any data to compare it too. Just speculation.

I(33m) don't think women have it any better. In fact I think men like me have it best.

Edit:. I did conflate sexual marketplace and relationship marketplace. In a purely sexual nature I think women have more options, but that doesn't always mean it is better.

But when it comes to relationships I feel men are better off. That is just my personal experience.

It’s been said, and should be repeated, that men have more time than women when it comes to dating. The SMV of a woman is at its peak when she’s 20 years old; for a man, it’s 45 years old. So while young women under the age of 30 are enjoying worshipping from an endless supply of men, it’s going to start to dry up as they get into their 30s.

Men are at their lowest SMV in their twenties and at the highest as they approach their 40s. Attribute it mostly to the building of wealth during this stage of their life. Men can also easily impregnate younger women as they get older; women become less fertile as they get older, along with becoming more unattractive.

So the pendulum ultimately swings in favor of men as time goes on. The single chics you see living it up are just a few short years away from crashing and burning; and yes, you’re right, many of them are already lonely.

The key for young men is to stay on their path, focus on creating wealth and becoming better every day, and you will have more women than you know what to do with.

Same here, though I would not say sad looking is the majority. I'm gen x and of the 2 types of women I know who are single for quite a long while, its a bit of a dichotomy...those that are overweight & not feminine looking/behaving and those that are attractive and have plenty of options. Even most of the latter group are sad/low level depressed, and I'm in the firm believe its because they cant get a guy at their level of expectations to stay for more than a STR/fling or treat them as special as they believe (also their issues play a part).

Outside of the ones I know, there are lots of single women and packs of women I see out at local venues, but I think its a theme of the independent woman. In this day and age I really don't think they would have trouble finding a guy that would date them (assuming they are not markedly overweight or have an over entitled attitude) and as for hooking up its eazi peazi, but with the latter because its easy its nothing special to them (unless its with a hunk) like it is to a horny desperate single guy.

Also with online dating/hookup just because a woman is single for while or says she is focusing on her career, or study or herself, or her friends/travel don't think its not possible for her to have a fkbuddy or FWB on the quiet. Also I think for women who are not high libido and single as long as they get flirted with + online attention, they can still feel good about themselves while being single, knowing they can take their time to find the right guy with great chemistry, whereas the average guy who's 'auditioning' generally wont have that same feeling of contentment.

Also I dont know if there is a huge number of young sad single women out there. The company I am at now has a lot of young post graduate women in it and none of them are single.
