What does it mean when women write "I've been to X countries"? It's now more common than "Fluent in sarcasm".

How is it even a brag? She didn't get there on her feet, a plane flew her & a hotel hosted her. What's the achievement here?

It means nothing to the opposite sex, I'd rank it lower than showing off an expensive bag or car.

In fact, if she's 20 something and travelled to 50+ countries, it probably means that she didn't focus on a field/career/business/family and gets bored easily. (If it wasn't business/work-related traveling)

Is this an escorting sub-culture? Am I living in a bubble and this actually makes her more interesting?

Edit:

For those that say that "liking to travel" makes you special/unique. This is an example of traveling that makes you special "as a traveler":

As a heterosexual guy, if he invited me on a trip, I'd be on the next flight. But where he goes, I'd probably need to get on a soviet-era train & hitchhike half of the way.
