Hi everyone, I just thought I'd share a quick update after my last post!

I got a job! My first day was today and it went great! I am so happy and excited, I was practically skipping home just now, I feel like I am walking on clouds.

I thought I would share, just in case there are any other sex workers out there thinking of leaving the industry: NOW IS THE BEST TIME TO GET ANOTHER JOB!

Seriously, employers are desperate for people right now. Things moved a lot faster than I expected. They didn't even ask me about the gap on my resume. All the things I was worried about in my last post ended up not materializing at all.

Don't get me wrong, it's not "easy" in that I'm definitely going to be working more total hours than before, and it takes a lot of mental energy to break your old habits and way of life. Also, my current job isn't exactly my "dream job" but at least it is related to what I want to do in the future, and makes good use of my degree (social work).

But right now, as in literally RIGHT NOW, is not a bad time to leave sex work because there are so many other jobs available.

Thank you so much to everyone for all the supportive comments and DMs I got from my last post! (except for a handful of messages from men who were asking me uncomfortable personal questions... you're sick)

The funny thing is that 2 seconds after I submitted that post I guess I was autobanned somehow, I felt a little hurt so I sent a message to a mod asking why, then put my phone down. When I checked Reddit a few hours later my post had over a thousand upvotes and a hundred comments, all very supportive! I was not expecting that at all, and actually I was feeling a little anxious about posting my story because I thought I would be judged.

I hope other women like me give FDS a chance. These past few weeks lurking here makes me feel 100 times more empowered than I felt as an escort/camgirl. All these people going around saying "FDS hates sex workers" are actually doing a massive disservice to SW because it's turning us away from this awesome, supportive, uplifting community. I wish I had actually checked out FDS sooner, it would have saved me from a lot of unpleasant experiences.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that while the latest podcast episode was not my favorite, and I am looking forward to the response episode, I am still very grateful for the ladies behind the podcast, it literally saved my life. Thank you, mods!
