I've seen that display picture here on Reddit before, I think it was in /r/amiugly or /r/rateme as one of the top submissions. So whoever that poster is, is just trying to troll hard.

However, I've encountered feminists who genuinely believe shit like this at my college; in fact, only a few weeks ago their was a protest outside out in the main quad with a crowd of young people, signs/loudspeaker/pamphlets the whole nine yards, protesting "war". Not any conflict in particular, just "war". One of the young women even had sign with a similar sentiment to this, like "War isn't horror, rape culture is!". I had a real urge to call my grand-uncle and have him come down to talk to these people, as he watched his best friend get burned alive by napalm and reduced to a 1 sq. inch box of ash. Maybe holding that sign while talking would have finally gotten that woman to finally feel real fear for once in her life.

War used to be glorified precisely because it has always been so heinous and terrible. These days the horrors of war are not so much glorified as they are understated and brushed under the rug. War is probably the worst of humanity turned into a months or years long event.

To say that street harassment, even the worst kind of street harassment, even if it happened constantly, is even remotely like war or comparable in its effects on the human psyche or health of a person subject to it is so insane it's hardly worth addressing.

Her delusion takes advantage of the fact that for a lot of things, we rely on what people report, and that some things are generally accepted as facts (eg., being on a battlefield with people trying to kill you -- regardless of whether you're a male or female -- is harder than someone looking at your butt).

To some degree, there's merit to questioning things that are generally accepted. However, in cases like hers, it's almost like an extreme delusion that comes with mental illness, causing her beliefs to be as they are (assuming that she's being genuine).

So, from what I understand, when she was saying that, she was speaking to a deeply religious group, in a country that is essentially 100% devoutly catholic. She was implicitly saying that the dead get to go up to heaven, while the women are victims because they have to stay behind, separate from their loved ones up in heaven.
