I have seen some posts about RP being bad for mental health. It does have a sort of blunting effect to the ups and downs of relationships/dating.

It’s akin to reading a game walkthrough before playing it or like finding out the Easter bunny isn’t real.

It’s an almost out of body experience watching the patterns play out and recognizing what’s happening dispassionately, while thinking “I’m supposed to be feeling something here.”

Here's what I can't wrap my head around.

We've had this pandemic for two fucking years now, and have spent several trillion dollars, much of that going to hospitals that have done exactly NOTHING to keep overworked staff or create more ICU beds for the additional patients that they know are coming.

I was listening to a podcast yesterday and one of the dudes was talking about the concept of validation sex (true desire) vs. transactional sex (negotiated desire). It was very interesting.

I know that women often seek validation through many different means, but it makes sense that if she believes you have high value and are sexually desirable to others in her peer group, the fact that she was "the chosen one" is a fountain of validation that will run as long as the man maintains his perceived desireability.

I think perhaps the combined loss of an object of true desire and a source of validation is what creates alpha widows.

Yesterday someone was worried I'm not healthy and have issues with sugar/hormones. I didn't answer them and they deleted their comment, well, whoever you were, don't worry, I'm fine. I feel really awkward when I have to decline snacks, alcohol and other stuff since I'm on a strict meal plan and have to follow that accordingly if I want to see the results I'm looking for, because people start getting weird and going "Oh come onnnnnnnn it's only one!" or "Go on one snack won't hurt you."

Like yeah that's great, I'm aware of that, but it doesn't mean that I still want to do it. I have a cheat meal maybe once a month now, and that's usually still a protein heavy meal anyway. Some people just don't seem to respect it when you decline having that stuff.

Well, we were destined to have 18 cows for only a day. When I went out to check on Jewel and Juno this morning, I found them both fine ... but Willa was dead as a doornail. NO IDEA what happened to her ... she was simply lying stretched out in the area where the cows have been sleeping lately. She was fine yesterday, as were the others, and no one else in the herd seems 'off.' She was an older cow and it's not unheard-of for animals to simply die suddenly, much like humans. But then came the hard work of burying her, for which our backhoe proved pitifully inadequate. We could not get the tractor up the hill in the mud and when we tried to dig at the bottom of the hill, the hole started filling up with water. Shit! I was truly in despair at this point ... I had no idea what to do, as the nice fellow who had buried the angel cows at my old farm had passed away from cancer a few years back but I'd thought, since we had purchased the big tractor equipped with a hoe, we'd be all set and could take care of things ourselves.

Luckily the man came through for me ... he called up one of our neighbors, who happened to have a brother with a track hoe and the willingness to make a quick buck despite it being Superbowl Sunday! And they came out and did the job ... planted her right at the top of our hill, high and dry. I left the man in charge of that operation and went down to the barn to do chores as we were both running out of energy after being outside all day. The temperature never came up above freezing; he's not over his cold yet and mine has turned into bronchitis. Blargh.

So, just a miserable day! $500 to bury her ... good thing I have at least 60 hours of work lined up this week. Had to do all of my weekend housework, too, when we got home -- no time yesterday with Jewel calving. I'll admit I cut a few corners, heh, but least the bedding, bathroom and floors are clean ... the rest will have to wait. I am about beat!

Omg this is so much fun. At his close friend of mine just told me she is gonna break up with his bf of 5 years. Everything she says aligns with trp perfectly.

I just yelled at my nephews for the first time ever. I've never yelled at any of those kids before because I feel yelling at kids is counterproductive but it just got to a point where I got tired of them not listening to me or respecting me so I put my foot down.

Why do some think of geopolitics as a game to be won? Ukraine joining Nato, imo benefits no one, first it assumes NATO will even last, like, in twenty years NATO countries will be competing with each other over Antarctica, resources are running out, they definitely will, so will NATO even survive that? Second, the only thing it achieves is to further antagonise Russia, and maybe even Russians themselves, I don't think I'd be happy as a citizen if a country with the opposite way if doing things to mine, that's also a threat of changing my way of life was right at my doorstep, IDK what actual Russians think but I wouldn't be happy with Ukraine joining NATO. Maybe an invasion overkill but if there is a genuine threat of Ukraine joining I think an invasion can be justified.

I had kind of a unique experience last night. For those of you who have been following my stories, I am in cancun now. Last night I met up with a woman from Russia who I met on tinder, along with her friend who translated for us. My date hardly spoke english.

So I get dressed and head out there. Little did I know, I put in the wrong place 🤣. So I got dropped off in the middle of this random neighborhood. Luckily it appeared to be pretty affluent, so I wasnt really afraid. I then took another taxi to the correct location where her and her friend met me.

Her and her friend looked very similar, so for the first 20 minutes I actually did not know which one was my date, and which was the friend 🤣. It was only until I asked their names that I was able to figure it out, and it was only because someone on discord told me the pronunciation of her name that I knew which was hers, because her name was in Cyrillic.

We went for a long walk, probably at least 3 miles. Just talking. I mostly talked to the friend actually 🤣, which made it feel so weird, it felt more like I was on a date with her.

We talked a lot about differences in american, mexican, and russian culture. They reffered to hotdogs and hamburgers as "traditional american food" which I was unsure how to respond to 🤣. They also spoke highly of McDonalds. I even had the nerve to ask them about their feelings about what is going on with ukraine. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly they essentially were parroting the Putin narrative about them being the same people, something something history, blah blah blah and that the west should back off and not interfere with their business. I of course was not going to push back on this, so I said something like "I totally agree, I think Putin has a passionate and compelling argument".

They were both well off financially I could tell. The friend was a lawyer, and I am unsure of what my date was because I couldnt understand her much 🤣, but they had talked about how they traveled to 20 countries together.

By the end my date, which was about 2 hours in, she was holding my hand, teaching me words and phrases in russian, and asking me when I would visit her in moscow. I was not expecting to have sex or anything. I mainly went because I knew it would be a unique experience.

Story time:

Bipolar step daughter has been married for just under a year and living at her husband's dad's house because they couldn't afford anything.

Husband's dad has recently acquired 2 sugar babies that have moved in as well.

edit: really funny how only one guy said positive personality traits imo. really shows me how physical men are, and maybe how much y’all don’t pay attention to specific personality traits, emotions, etc.

really surprised no one said anything about intimacy and romance. kinda sad to me. :/
