CMV: In today's age, men are expected to take on both the feminine AND the masculine roles in a relationship, while women are only expected to take on the feminine roles.

In a previous post I made, I discussed what women would think about a man who is more interested in taking on the feminine duties in a relationship, such as cooking and cleaning. A lot of the responses were something along the lines of "knowing how to function as a basic adult isn't feminine", which is something you hear not just on PPD, but from women in general. Women will constantly give their man shit if he doesn't look after himself or know how to cook or clean.

So it seems to me that the expectation of men is that you have to be both a provider with a solid job as well as a househusband who's able to maintain and manage a house. Women will berate their man if he doesn't know how to do traditionally feminine tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and so on but men will usually not care if their woman isn't making a lot of money. Thoughts?
