While it's true that men (atleast some) objectify women, its true that women also objectify themselves, it goes both ways. Most women won't like hearing this but even the use of makeup is a part of this self objectification, although this isn't to say that there aren't benefits to it like looking more attractive, feeling more confident and so on. Actually, some women objectify themselves because there are benefits to doing so (onlyfans and so on).

Some women objectify themselves by conforming to the societal beauty standards that emphasize physical appearance over intelligence, personality, or accomplishments.

Other women objectify themselves by altering their bodies, wearing revealing clothes, or posting sexually suggestive images on social media to gain attention, approval, or validation.

The interesting thing is by reducing themselves to objects for validation, attention and likes, these women actually reinforce gender stereotypes, and limit their own potential as individuals.
