I think the red pill has the right idea when it comes to servicing the individual. You take the advice, absorb the knowledge and do with it as you wish for your own ends.

It's basically "Hey guys, this is the raw reality of dating. It may suck, but here is the truth, now deal with it as you wish, no judgement."

But how much of the red pill is actually cope? The attitude of "don't let your shortfalls make you give up, here is how you overcome them..." is obviously a positive thing, it's better than dour negativity, but is it REALISTIC.

I feel the red pill can only get you so far. I work in a gym and I was having a conversation with a girl who said "That guy looks like he is wearing his body, it doesn't fit his face."

The dude competes in regional men's physique, and his face wasn't even bad. He was just an average guy who got jacked. But she said he didn't register as attractive based on his body alone, the other stuff didn't "add up".

And the idea of "confidence and game". I've seen confidence and game get average guys NOWHERE. They have lots of friends, girls and guys, and are successful in other areas of life, but its always the guys with the nice face and height that win out.

So how much of red pill, confidence, game, lifting, is just cope for the fact that girls when it comes down to it are only REALLY attracted and aroused by those born handsome, tall and naturally social?

The main reason dating advice seems to go nowhere is a vast majority of people have very little perspective about the struggles other people experience and how they are percieved by the world

For instance, a guy like me will never understand what it's like to have women throw themselves at you completely obviously, but at the same time, I'll never understand what it's like to go places and have women not even want to associate with you platonically solely because of your looks

This is because I'm an average man. I don't try to give advice to hot guys or incel-tier men, I tend to stick to my own tribe. Likewise I tend to mainly listen to advice from other average looking dudes.

This is why women give terrible dating advice to men, it's why frat dudebro's advice won't work for the introverted gamer. It's why a normie can't give very good advice to someone who's moderately autistic.

At least not without understanding things from their perspective first or having been in their position before.
