I don't think you know what a biological clock is. Most of the things you mentioned are external factors involving women's limitations and not the men themselves. The only thing that focuses on biology are the last two points around sperm quality, however, that's not the equivalent to menopause which is a complete shutdown or reproductive capabilities.

Also, we don't know the age range of th last point saying men over the age of 35 have 25% success artificial insemination. Are men up to age 90 included in there? What about the rates for regular insemination through sex? Lots of holes in you argument.

I agree to some extent, but the first three items are not what a biological clock means. It has to do with fertility rates of the individual, not lack of possibilities to find a person that is fertile. If anything, that would be a social clock or attractiveness clock.

You’re forgetting the biggest part:

Men over 35 when they have kids may not be fit enough or healthy enough to keep up with them as they grow up and the potential that you’ll never meet your grandchildren also rises at a faster rate the older you are when you have kids.

I’m lucky my parts have both made it to 70, but my brother is having difficulty having a kid and my marriage fell apart before we had kids and now I’m pushing 40 so they may not meet their grandchildren

Does this tell you that when a man turns 35 a switch turns on his balls and he suddenly goes from 52 to 25? You're lumping 35 year old men with 45, 55, 65, it's obvious that the fertility will drop that harshly when you consider groups that are too far apart in age. And that sperm quality decreases exponentially post 45.

And you're lumping 34 year old men with 27, 25, 20, who obviously have much more fertility, misleading you to think something happens at 35. You can always lie with stats. Men fertility and sperm quality starts to drop at 40 , men of 30s are very much fit to have kids.

Men have a lee way of 10 years over women in child viability.

I think one of the biggest factors in today’s world that men face and mistakes they make is that when they are in their 40s and even 50s they will be able to find a woman in child bearing years that wants to have a child with them. I am in my late 40s child free and I date and am friends with many of these men. And when I was online dating in my early 30s the men that were hitting on me despite my age ranges that were set were over 45 and most wanted kids and never had them. They become angry and bitter because in this day and age it’s rarer and rarer for women in their early 30s wanting to be with men over 45 yet alone have kids.

I do think that men have biological issues trying to conceive and often in couples struggling they are the problem. But by and large men have a better chance of not having fertility issues over the age of 45. Whether they should is a totally different question. Sure we ladies all know a story of a woman who randomly got pregnant late in life, for me my cousin delivered a healthy baby girl at age 49. But the reality is these are rare and I think women who want kids have to get serious about doing so when they are younger. I have so many friends for now it’s too late. I blame celebs for this.

I'm 60. My youngest daughter just turned 14. She's at least as smart and healthy as the kids I had in my early 20s. She started school a bit early so she's the youngest kid in all her freshman classes (9th grade). We just got her 1st quarter grades -- she got all A's (she's in all honors classes). She's also on the varsity tennis team.

She likes to wear my old high school letterman jacket (I was a basketball player). The jacket has my grad year on it. My daughter's math teacher asked her about the jacket. Turns out he was born the same year I graduated high school.

Having children is much harder for women. They are the ones carrying the baby and their bodies suffer because of it. All men do is ejaculate semen into someone.

Because of this inequality, many men are very happy that they have power over women because women eg need to take time off work to have a baby etc. Many comments by men here prove that point. Many men are happy to use procreation to feel better than women. Of course, there are more and more women nowadays opting to not have children at all ie the childfree movement, and that tends to enrage many men because procreation disables women so much. I mean I guess somewhat. There is nothing physically stopping men from having children at almost any age. Some women are actually basically infertile by about 40. At the very least its a matter of degrees. Plenty of 40+ men have children versus almost no 40+ women. And way more men get married 40+ way mooooooore. Women plummet to 20% marriage rate by 40 and by 50+ we are talking about single digits.

I feel like most “biological clock” talk with men has significantly more to do with them not taking care of themselves. Obesity, poor diet, bad habits I.E. drugs, alcohol, smoking. Etc. All had more time to do their damage by the time you’re 40-45.

Testosterone levels have a lot to do with fertility, and more factors affect it the older you get. But no one is looking at guys in fantastic shape at 45 saying “but his biological clock is up” or “he’s not desirable”.

Most people overlook the fact that sperm expires too, older paternal age is related to childhood cancers, adhd, autism, low weight and premature birth, it may also be a risk to the mother even if she's younger, older sperm may cause the mother health issues as well (premature birth, diabetes) no one really talks about this, they all say women over 35 are too old to have kids even tho some women in their 40s can have kids just fine (there are tests for downs syndrome which is the riskiest thing in older mothers) but no one says anything about men in their 50s going on 60 who wants to have kids with a girl in their 20s which is so weird and they end up looking like the kids grandpa lol literally some men in their 50s say they want kids someday, that's ridiculous no one over 50 should be having kids men or women, besides if men can have kids anytime why do sperm banks have a cutoff age of 35 40 at most? The only limitation for older men is their physical strength to keep it going in bed. But with good diet, lifestyle, and exercise men can stay potent and strong well until 70s. With reasonable amount of wealth, good personality, and good looks, all women are within their dating pool.

Yes and no. There is an endless supply of mid 30s women desperate to breed so if you are willing to have a baby with a woman of that age, you can do so deep into your 50s as an above average man. If you are rich or have big status, you can definitely find women who want your resources deep into old age if so inclined.

I don’t think it’s just sperm quality. Men also develop ED as they age. If there were no drugs that could get it up they’d have trouble getting someone pregnant even if they have swimmers still.

The drugs are only helpful if your sexual partner wants to schedule sex ahead of time.

I think the issue is that men like to use age to degrade and devalue women. Regardless of fertility or sexual attractiveness, women are incredibly valuable to society. Even infertile women. So their fixation on this topic is just a symptom of their own inferiority complex.
