That said, I think it would affect my relationships 'negatively'. I’ve done the club thing and dating app thing - sleeping with women within hours of meeting them - and it’s exhilarating initially and then it becomes depressing over time.

Feeling used and disposable is not an exclusively female thing.

Sex is expression. If you have sex with someone who cares about you, it can be really amazing and fulfilling - physically and emotionally. There is mutual respect. There is a deeper connection that facilitates empathy. It’s meaningful when someone takes the time and energy to actually get to know who you are and likes you for who you are.

Having sex with people who find you very physically attractive can be validating, but it can cut the other way too. Why don’t they want to get to know you? Why don’t they care about who you are? Why don’t they acknowledge that you are more than just a piece of meat, an object for their sexual satisfaction?

Casual sex is like fast food. It’s ok occasionally if you don’t have anything more substantive available, but if that’s all you consume, it’s horrible for your health.

Not exactly. Most of my daily routine wouldn’t change. I’d still get up every day and go to work, I’d still come home and spend almost all my free time on the internet, and I’d still do my regular weekend routine - out to eat for breakfast, groceries, and laundry.

What would change, slightly, is my evening plans. I don’t have as high of a sex drive as other men. 2 or 3 times a week is enough for me. But, when I get the urge, I pretty much expect to have it satiated immediately and without obstacles. So, in a world where men can access casual sex easily, I’d have a rotating series of FWB’s that I give a booty call to whenever the urges strike. And, since I do have one particular kink that greatly pleases me, a good portion of these booty calls would be for that kink, not for casual sex. It depends on my mood, which is mercurial.

tl;dr I’d treat casual sex like I treat fast food. I don’t need it every day, but when I want it, I want it now. Done my way.

The truth is, I’d have walked away from the relationship as soon as I found out she was starfishing it during sex and made me “work for it” or “earn it.” No sexual attraction=No relationship. Women are better than us at setting the terms of the relationship, and that’s because when we set the terms, 99% of women find it unacceptable and “gross” and end up walking away.
