Also, if women were to become lesbians and start dating other women, wouldn't most of their dating problems vanish? Dating for gay men has its challenges. But sure, heterosexual women are the primary sexual selectors. They are picky maters. So it is natural that they make dating a bit harder.

A lot of gay men are known for having extremely high standards. Gay men are held to a very high standard of attractiveness - most straight men could not meet their standards of fitness and hygiene.

From what I understand there is basically separate crowds of gay men who have very low standards and are generally not very attractive, and then the attractive crowd that demands the top percent. Most straight men would not be able to fit into the latter.

Gay men are also extremely hypergamous, and a lot are very picky and reject very harshly, even cruelly. There's a lot of posts on r/askgaybros about how harsh and cold the gay community frequently is with rejection, they won't let you down softly like women do.

Idk this whole idea that gay men have very low standards and will fuck anyone really doesn't match up with everything I've ever heard from gay friends and gay communities. Even the bi dude I was with talked about how he had an easier time getting girls because the only gay men that would accept him were gross old dudes.

From what I’ve heard from my straight male and bi male friends and from my own experience, casual sex is much easier for gay guys. Before I was in a serious relationship, on average I hooked up with two different guys weekly. Considering that the majority of men are fat, you would be already above average if you stay in shape when hooking up with men. The bar for casual sex is very low lol. Just watch out for the crazies though. High std rate is also something to be aware of.

When it comes to serious, long term relationship though, it becomes much more difficult. It felt horrible when my straight guy friends were getting married, while I was single. At some point hooking up with different dudes was not that fun anymore. I am now glad that I am currently in a long term relationship with my bf.

Depending on how picky you are with women. Highly successful and/or attractive women are often hypergamous and that is just one reason. Women go more off intuition, in other words the situation/environment has to be right internally and externally more for women than men imo...or from my experience...from what I've seen. That's part of the problem with dating apps all you have is text, pictures, and STATUS (the status of the man being the selling point more for women than men). If the situation was right and you had the charm but maybe less than desirable status you have more of a chance of winning her over, or at least more of a chance for chemistry in person than you do on a dating app (at least I have)
