Men have no clue how much women risk to be with a man. Sex alone opens us up to higher risks of STI infection, pregnancy, rape, without any guaranteed chance of enjoying ourselves sexually with him. Do men even know or care how many of the women they've slept with had to go to the doctor to get a LEEP for HPV? I didn't know HPV causes fucking cancer when I was getting sexually active. I had no idea. If I did, I wouldn't have even bothered dating, let alone given my exes the benefit of the doubt on the red flags that would've ended the relationships anyway down the road.

If women are cold to this guy in the OP, it doesn't mean they're asexual. It means they've done the 2-second cost-benefit calculation in their heads as to whether this guy is worth considering, and he's already been dismissed from the running. The guy makes creepy comments and who knows what other vibes he's giving off, so women know he's a walking disaster waiting to happen and is more likely to give them an STD than an orgasm, so he's out.

Meanwhile, he's so dumb that he doesn't recognize any of this and blames all the women he's meeting without a speck of insight that he's the only common denominator here.

I’ve thought about this a lot over the years and I think a lot of men see sex as THE way to connect at all with women. So, they need physical connection to feel at all close to women and women need emotional connection and a true sense of safety and trust to feel ready to have sex.
