My random takes

Absolute majority of Afghans are pro Taliban, they want the lifestyle and values that organization imposes;
Afghan army doesn't fight because most of them support Taliban or share their believes/values;
This has nothing to do with gender dynamics, RP or anything;
Afghan society is responsible for what's going on, Afghans aren't victims. Yes foreign powers invaded their country and that doesn't help yet they revert to an ultra islamist state the moment these powers leave them alone without much resistance (this time without any);
The US, if they chose to invade Afghanistan, should more actively impose the secular/democratic values. No way could they allow establishing 'Islamic republic of Afghanistan' under their protectorate and then expect an outcome other than we're facing rn. They'd have to still stay for another two decades but it might actually work in the end;
Leaving Afghanistan now was a very bad decision;
The country will turn into a breeding ground for terrorists of all sorts in the matter of years if not months;
Putin and Xi are rubbing their hands just as we speak, even though this shall probably bite them in the back later

The greatest Red Pill of our times has just been laid down and nobody is talking about it in that context. When men choose to walk away rather than fight and possibly give uptheir lives for a cause that is not theirs. How the Afghan Military has just Red Pilled the entire world.

This post pertains to the ongoing issue in Afghanistan where the Afghani military laid down their arms and allowed the Taliban to take over without firing a single shot.

In case you live under a rock here is a Situation Report on that: Inside the Taliban's Takeover of Afghanistan.

Only in a Blue Pilled world does the phase "not firing a shot" translate to something bad; when in reality this is something to be celebrated because it means nobody was needlessly killed!

In the report I linked above pay close attention to this. He describes the 0-3 Unit which were the soldiers who actually laid down their arms and walked away on the eve of the battle. The reporter is describing why they chose to do that. These men are not cowards, they weren't scared or overwhelmed with fear as some Blue Pilled White Knight clowns suggest. These men were already fighting the Taliban for a long time. They chose to give up the fight very simply because there was nothing in it for them. Their situation became analogous to one we have been talking about in Red Pilled discussion as "a no win situation, a game that is rigged against you."

And what do we do in a game you can't possibly win? You walk away, go your own way! Which is exactly what these men did. And they walked away from it with their lives. They did not need to be killed that day for no other reason than to satisfy the White Knight aspirations of a Blue Pilled World view that stakes a man's dignity as a human being on the condition that his life be worthless unless he is laying it down in service to someone else.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a huge wake up call, a Red Pill if you will, to the entire world.

The single largest delusion of a Blue Pilled worldview is that our lives as men are worthless unless we are sacrificing and grinding away at our health, and indeed our very lives, for the sake of a greater cause. Which always seems to be a cause which leads to other men - and a whole lot of women - to directly benefit from our labor and our sacrifices while we are not even entitled to enjoy the fruit of our own labor except to receive an inadequate physical wage (money) and an metaphorical ruffling of our hair as if to say "good boy! You're doing a good job" in the form of female flattery and high five or a shot in the arm from other equally Blue Pilled men in the same ideological trenches.

This is why The Red Pill is in fact a WAKE UP! call. It has more to do than just your petty worries about the dating world. It's much bigger than that.

Blue Pillers are quick to condemn men who vouch for their own right to Life, Liberty, and the persuit of Happiness.

It is the Blue Pilled of the world who condemn men for not wanting to die and use antiquated notions of masculinity to shame men into towing the line. To keep men mentally chained to the Plantation. "You are not a man unless you abide by the strict rules of Chivalry and White Knightism."

I believe there is no better place to discuss this turn of events than here where Blue Pill and Red Pill meet and this place exists explicitly for the discussion of both sides. This is the Red Pilled side that I am vouching for. The side where men assert their right to be alive by refusing to fight in anyone else's war.

I am interested to see how White Knights and Blue Pillers will try to spin this into yet another shaming campaign to emotionally strong arm men back into the Plantation. Let's start the discussion.

The Northern Alliance is already taking territory and local resistance is already booting the Taliban out of some districts nearby. I strongly suspect this will result in another long, bloody civil war, but I don't think the Taliban will win, ultimatley, but they can hold on for many years.

Ultimatley the real issue is the people trapped in the middle. I feel for them, and the ones still online have made it clear how dysfunctional things are getting, and its probably only going to get worse for them.

I'm hearing the Northern Alliance caught the Taliban in an ambush. The amount of Taliban killed was anywhere from a few hundred to just under a thousand depending on who you believe.

I think any hopes for peace or stability are functionally dead, regardless of whatever anyone expected that to look like. The Taliban can't root out the NA quickly and their resources are dwindling fairly rapidly. This is going to get ugly.

I have no basis for this but I basically think of this as chads versus incels and the incels won.

I kept wondering what type of army could kill a group of men defending their wives, daghters mothers and homes?

In the end a bunch of religious zealots found a bunch of guys rejected by society. Desperate for love and dignity, religous guys told them they were victims and told them to reclaim what they deserved.

The chads all have families and loved ones. Women they care about. Futures even.

Now who can kill men protecting their wives daughters mothers and sisters. A group of men with nothing to loose who either want to die or get the life and dignity.

You may hate the incels, but it is society that rejected them first. The religious radicalized them, but it was not the religious that gave them reason for anger and shame; only a dircetion and purpose to use it.

Of course this is all baseless and I really just wanted to figure out what could make a group of men stop defending what should be a better way of life.

If the accepted premise is that the US forces had to retreat from Afghanistan, I don't think it would have mattered if it was 5 years ago, today or 5 years in the future; the end result would have been the same (talibans would have retaken control).

Basically anything short of a permanent US presence for the next 20-50 years would have ended the same.

One thing Trump got right is that all the other NATO counties are living fat and happy precisely because they don't have to spend hardly any of their tax money on military because they know the US will come to their aid if needed.

We need to be significantly downsizing our military and moving that money into single payer healthcare and free college and let the rest of the world fund their own militaries.

Be careful because I wouldn't be surprised if they try to argue to their fullest why the US needs to go back there and save the poor defenseless Afghans from the Taliban. We absolutely don't need to go back. It's not as if we don't have 20 years to show why staying there was so bad or anything.

From my armchair perspective, invading via conventional ground forces was foolish and they should have known better. They had only to look at how Afghanistan went for the Soviets, who weren't on the other fucking side of the planet (in fact, if I'm not mistaken they had uninterrupted land routes into the place, I'm too lazy to look at a map) with much more permissive rules of engagement and still fucking lost.

I'd posit arming and funding American-friendly groups (and for God's sake not cutting them loose the second they aren't immediately useful) and deploying limited special operations support for training and unconventional warfare would have been more cost effective and more likely to succeed, but I am no expert.

I think the whole thing was an expression of the same delusional post-USSR euphoria that gave us such idiocy as Francis Fukuyama's The End of History and the Last Man.

They’re in for a long civil war.

Northern alliance already has taken territory, as well as local civil resistance groups kicking the taliban out.

Biden admin stated Afghan army just gave up, failed to state that they were in the frontlines, starving, and unpaid. Not everybody wants to die in war, many just want to feed their families, and they weren’t even getting paid.

Also, thousands of afghan commandos and regular infantry have been resisting alongside of the rebellions.

Ultimately, I feel like this is on US. We installed a government that WASNT the right fit for that country, and installed crooked politicians.

Oh and, our government has known for a long time that al queda is still actively teamed up with the taliban, and for Biden to boldly lie to us about that is a slap in the face.

We are going to end up helping the northern alliance, we’ve just been playing damage control and don’t want to make the taliban feel like they should kill the 10k+ western hostages they have out there. Once the evacuation is done, mainstream media will start pedaling the truth, and we will all but up in arms again.

Funny to see how much the establishment/liberal media has criticized Biden for probably the best thing he's done. Never forget who controls the media corporations in this country and how much they profit from war - and that the great majority of liberals will be seething for blood whenever their masters ring their bells, whatever humanitarian ideals they cloak themselves in.

The Afghanistan neo liberal state was a grandiose fiction outside of Kabul - it existed only as a bourgeoise project of a city state with a clientele of warlords controlling other cities and provinces. Their dedication lasted only as long as the money kept flowing, there was never going to be a developed Afghan state because there never existed one, which is evident in the comically quick collapse following official American "withdrawal".

80%+ of Afghans lives will not be significantly changed by the formal takeover of the Taliban (which at least in the context of what happened this month was one of the least violent and bloodless takeovers in modern history), they lived a rural traditional lifestyle. Why so many Western tears for the bourgeoise women living in Kabul and a few other cities then? Because Western feminism has been almost completely coopted as a tool of Western neo liberal imperialism. Were the thousands of lives destroyed by the war, great sums of capital expended (or rather grifted by the MIC and Afghan bureaucrats), and whatever devilry "our" warlords got up to worth it so that women in Kabul could mimic their bourgeoise Western counterparts? It seems so from what can be read in many places.

Afghanistan is a great lens to judge whether a person is capable of actual critical thought and self awareness of the system they live in - a challenge the great majority of Western fail to meet despite their fetishization of education.

Right now the US is keeping citizens at Kabul airport in a camp. Women and children are forced to sleep on the rocky bear earth. Children are freezing. The US promised these citizens to fly them out of the country. Ontop of that, the US literally throws at the citizens with pork food. It is pretty common knowledge that the majority of Aghanistan is muslim thus this is also obviously a high show of disrespect towards the religion of the citizens of Aghanistan who seek the help of USA.

It makes me really sad to think of the men and women who do not want to live under islamic law and that now are at risk of losing their lives over the religious lunatics who think they know better. Reading about how most afghans are illiterate and dont know any other way of living breaks my heart. I wish I could do something about it.

It also has made me think about how fortunate I am to live in a country that although it is very far from perfect, I can live my life the way I want it. We have our own brand of armed idiots who have turned a lot of parts of the country into war zones but im lucky to live in a city that is pretty safe as long as you dont mess with the narcos. I have food on my table and a roof over my head, anything else is extra and I am very grateful about how blessed I am.

I have a set of varied observations

One...this is going to have some effect on the price and availability of certain recreational drugs but how much of an effect I don't know because things are more complex in that regard than they were last time Taliban held so much territory. However the street level effects of any change here in Australia are likely to be amplified because we are also experiencing somewhat of a meth drought due to that messaging app sting...and this is running concurrently with an upturn in incidents of cackhanded hamfisted violent crime and just general street level desperation plus the effects of lockdowns all down the east coast on the viability of usual criminal income generation methods. Also some of the people protesting lockdowns and trying to get us to open up as soon as possible (before we have met vaccine goals) and let it rip look like they do a fair amount of recreational drugs. So ummmmm...yeah...I know that isn't an actual comment about Afghanistan but I think it is interesting in its own way.

Two...the Afghan diaspora population in Australia is really starting to step up fundraising efforts to provide material assistance and the rest of the population has been helping. I suspect the same is true in other countries. Unless the Taliban can get themselves internationally recognised as the official government of Afghanistan there is very little they can do to even divert that flow of resources from funding the northern alliance. So that's a thing. Not sure how many bullets (amount other things) my resources have bought but here is hoping one of them ends up in the head of a Talib.

Three. Pakistan funds the Taliban and China encourages and assists Pakistan to do this is my current assumption. Anyone working from a different set of assumptions? I mean I am not welded to my current assumption but I sort of feel it is solid.
