FDS says 50/50 relationships don’t work, or any relationship where women pay bills for that matter.

They also expect men to cook and clean reasonably. And be enthusiastically loyal.

How do they expect to attract, and keep a legit quality man this way? A man paying 100% of the bills and doing 50% of the house work is going to feel used. He is being used.

Not to mention most of these FDS women say they can finance their own lives. How could you allegedly “love” someone, and pocket all your money while you live off of theirs? That’s literally using them.

There’s no way in hell men exist, who are 6ft and earn 6 figures that are taking such a raw deal.

And according to them anything a woman does for a man is pick me behavior.

A lot of these women are looking to be parasites. A lot of them hate men, and are brainwashing other women to hate men too.

They’re looking for the highest quality man they can find so they can shake him down. You don’t treat a great caring partner you allegedly love the way FDS recommends you treat your partner.

Their strategy doesn’t want a partner. They want to find a sucker, and lick him.

I was raging about FDS for a while, sent some of their content to my potnas so they could see the insane stuff they say.

Homeboys made a great points though. We, as a group of Black men have not experienced that shit first hand at all. And they were right. From short and ugly to tall and hot, we’ve all had the same success dating.

Then it dawned on me, black women outnumbered us 2 to 1. Our school is surrounded by the hood too, so they basically had to engage in an all out blood bath to try and land us. Plus, we had the occasional white girl that was obviously into casually hooking up with us.

The outnumbering remains pretty consistent too, not as extreme as it is here, but we found out we are kind of like a scarce resource. Some of the men in our organization who graduated years before us also said the same. Educated black men feast.

There simply isn’t enough of us to supply all the educated black women with a educated/high earning potential black man.

I really think this is actually true. Maybe it’s bias because it’s only limited to the people I know, but I’ve had average looking white male friends struggle to date, and ugly black male friends drowning in suitors. It has to be because of the scarcity right?

Interesting stats. Russian people spend on grocery 10 times more than on eating out. People in the US spend almost evenly on groceries and eating outs, Germany and France spend twice as much on groceries as they do on eating outs.

My husband and I used to go out once or twice a month before covid and some user here called him a LVM for this. I find it rather...peculiar, as I once got told off by my friend for going out to often. We prefer to visit better places but rarer than cheaper but more often. And overall people here aren't that keen on spending money on cafes/restaurants.

My County which is the biggest in Tennessee just hit the same numbers we had at peak. And we do not have enough staff to care for all of our patients at work so we had to close our smallest unit and redistribute staff. And we are still short staffed. I am baffled by what men consider unreasonable standards. To me, your standards are only unreasonable if you can’t get men that fit that in your LTR dating pool.

So in this post, the 5’4 girl may be reasonable if her dating pool of LTRs happens to be 6ft+ men. I know short girls in LTRs with tall guys so it’s not inherently unreasonable

I have it rather well - I have a car, a flat, a job. I got everything myself without any "daddies", just worked day and night. I didn't really have time for relationships back then, but I see that I'm missing this part of my life, so I've started dating. Go on dates with different men.

The last date baffled me greatly. While we were chatting he mentioned multiple times how much perspective he had, how many plans and projects he had, but in reality he's still living with his parents and has a mediocre job. I told him that I was looking for someone with similar income, as I want eventually to have a family and want to be sure that my partner would be able to support a family while I'd be on a maternity leave. The guy burst with the speech about all women wanting "generals" and no one wanting to start with a "sergeant".

I offered him to meet him up with my friend - a wonderful girl, who is totally okay with "sergeants", looks for someone to be together both "in sorrow and in joy". But she lives with her parents and just like he does she doesn't have her own car. And do you know what he said? "No, we wouldn't have place for sex, I'd have to always go out with her somewhere and also pay for rent, if we get together". So it seems that modern "sergeants" want only female "generals" these days.

Men are almost universally much stronger than women, and much more aggressive. I know from my own life that I'm very cautious about putting myself in a position of vulnerability with someone who could exercise power over me. I think if anything women should be encouraged to be more cautious with men.

Besides, look at it this way: if a woman does submit to being in an intimately vulnerable position with you, that fucking means something.

I have not been living up to my name, quite the opposite actually. I’ve regained a lot of weight since my progress picture from December and am very unhappy about it. I shaved my head. I’m not sure if it’s because I wanted to reset or punish myself, but it’s done.

I have no excuses or anyone/thing to blame. But it still does suck. Being fat is a burden that is on my mind everyday.

I’ll lose it again. I don’t think I’ll ever be truly happy until the job is completely done.

North Carolina colleges about to all get shut down. Series of huge parties in Greensboro, Charlotte, Greenville, and Raleigh.

Group of girls in Greensboro went to multiple parties knowing they had COVID. Directly in contact with hundreds.

There’s no way this ends well. Especially because said group of girls are dumbasses, and have been in dorms/Classrooms/Dining halls COVID positive for a week now.

Nothing for sure about the other cities, but nobody has ever known 18 year olds to be smart, wouldn’t be surprised if dozens of people parties on campus this weekend with COVID.

An argument being had in another thread made me think of this question. Is the following statement a lie?

Disclaimer: By 'lie' I mean is the statement misleading; intention is not a factor in this case.

"Grades don't matter for being accepted into an Ivy League."

Looking at that statement in abstract, I would say it is. If someone were to say that aloud, people would probably look at them like they're crazy. However, when put into context of the application process, I can see how that claim would be true. Good grades are the expectation for those schools; aside from exceptional outliers, if you don't have them, you may as well not apply.

This means that for the pool of serious contenders, grades are a baseline. Obviously you need them (so they matter), but when differentiating between those serious contenders who are accepted and those who aren't, they effectively don't matter and other characteristics are considered like hobbies, extracurriculars, soft-skills, etc.. So in the context of the application process, the statement is not a lie. However, as an abstract statement, it clearly is incorrect.

I wonder if there is a difference in communication styles where some would automatically take the statement at the abstract and others would immediately try to view the statement in a context.
