As I keep saying either people overlook shit behavior for an attractive person or are completely blind to it/shitty behavior like putting others down to prop yourself up the social totem pole is normalized and ACTUALLY works because people only believe in what they see and can observe with minimal effort.

All dating/sexual relations are is a popularity game. What that looks like is making others look like shit either passively by being more physically attractive, richer, sexually experienced. Or actively by shoving all those traits in your social cirles face.

This is the big problem with forgiveness and people acting like shitty people. There is no incentive nor reward for being decent and life is a competitive game. I dont guve a shit if people think "oh youre not actually nice if you expect something from someone" does that count when all the person wants is a fucking thank you and wanting you to smile or to feel good about the fact that they behaved with compassion.

Also if someone shouldnt at least expect THIER CHANCES to increase by doing something nice for someone to lead to a relationship then you admit that personality and morals don't actually matter in dating

The bullies that I saw in high school all had good social skills to know how to make their bullying entertaining for others and big friend groups to laugh at their jokes and back them up if there was retaliation. If you try to be a bully as a loser you will get your ass kicked pretty quick.

As always, correlation and causation are not the same thing. The only reason that bullies are able to be bullies is because they have traits that enable them to get away with such behavior: Physical strength, massive wealth, or high social status (often acquired via physical strength or massive wealth). If a broke, physically weak kid tries to mock someone or beat them up, they likely won’t be successful, and people are more likely to see them as pathetic than attractive. Furthermore, guys who are aggressive assholes approach women at a far higher rate than guys who aren’t- the “I don’t give a fuck” attitude helps with that.

As such, it’s not surprising that the people who can get away with being bullies end up having significantly more sex- they tend to be stronger, wealthier, and higher status than people who can’t get away with being bullies.

This is a study of 11-18 year olds, both boys and girls. Nowhere does it indicate that bullying is attractive to women.

The way the study defines bullying:

“How often have you made sexual jokes, comments, or gestures aimed at someone much weaker or less popular last term?”

is a behavior which most young men who are proficiently social will engage in (both as abuser and victim) at some point.

Rather than this being the case that this data shows that abnormally abusive men ("bullies") are more successful, it's the fact that socializing as a young person involves a regrettable amount of bullying in general.

I read the study and they still couldn't rule out that bullying and increased sexual activity are not both results of some other variable, like higher aggression levels.

Unclear to me that in today's day and age actually being seen as a bully makes you more sexually attractive.

It's a crime to give aid and comfort to an enemy (treason), it should also be a crime to give aid and comfort to criminals. Romantic partners of criminals should need to prove they were either coerced into the relationship, the criminal did not get any benefit from the relationship, or they had no way of knowing (e.g. they had a reasonably good knowledge of their partner's lives but the partner's efforts to conceal criminality were sophisticated). Otherwise they should serve the same sentence. Not just talking long term - if you're a sex worker paid for by the proceeds of crime, you're part of the problem. Too bad we don't live in a world where foster care is reliably a better option than being raised by an evil single parent.

Ideally people who date bullies (at least from high school onwards) would be expelled and denied education indefinitely right behind the bully as well. Date a bully, enjoy the dropout lifestyle. It's only fair given the lives bullies ruin while allowed to remain in educational institutions and the additional motive dating provides bullies. Of course there's no way to enforce this and it would lead to cycles of disadvantage. Even if the one relating to criminality was made law (which it never will be) it will be easy for mob wives and goomahs to play dumb or play victim.

Guess we're stuck with this bullshit forever.

People who don't want to date or don't feel confident should go their own direction in life. It shouldn't be encouraged on everyone to date. People shouldn't be shamed for not wanting to date either, like they are missing out on a huge part of life. That's simply not true, and it might actually be the reverse is true. I’ve never in my life been like “oh he’s mean? Swoon!” If anything it someone is rude, doesn’t like animals, doesn’t tip the waitress, yells at his mom, dismissive of children, calls someone a name, negs, puts others down to compliment me, or any other mean thing - it’s automatic ick. My man is the kindest human I have ever met. I don’t think he can be mean. I’d beat someone up if they tried to be mean to him. I’m not into machismo, toxic masculinity, or anything that resembles it. I like my relationship to be happy and healthy. I do know one girl who is fine with it and actively seeks it out in her partners but, I wouldn’t say she has “happy” or “healthy” relationships with anyone. I dont know if that is the flex you all think it is. Like - sure he gets sex. But at what cost? Is sex really the only thing yall care about? That seems… exploitative. And not at all the nice guy you want to portray yourself as.
