Men with an LTR-focused ("restricted") sociosexual orientation typically by far prefer women without plastic surgery, without tattoos and without makeup (and inb4 anyone would come with the totally ignorant idea that we wouldn't know the difference: guess again), whereas
Those men who go for women with artificially modified looks (makeup, plastic surgery etc) are typically the men with a casual sex focused ("unrestricted"/"loose") sociosexual orientation.

However, I do kinda get what OP is getting at. When looking at modern day porn, I notice that a lot of the performers seem way more "accessible", with women seeming ever younger and "innocent" looking. But that's porn. Onlyfans, which has very democratised the profit of adult entertainment, you actually find the most well paid models are very much the "bombshells". Amouranth, Bella Thorne and Mia Khalifa all count among its biggest creators. All possessing highly sexualised appearances with huge fake titties (which dweeby dudes claim to hate).

My girl is definitely a more next door type but she also has a fat ass. 1) Depending on where one lives, I do not think that the average woman has had a lot of cosmetic procedures done.

2) The vast majority of women wear make-up one way or the other, so trying to find a woman with zero make up is almost impossible. Are men then supposed to be single or overlook issues such as make up?

3) A woman having cosmetic work done those not make her unattractive by default.

These women wouldn’t have got plastic surgery if plastic surgery was actually unattractive to men. Most women get plastic surgery to elevate their looks and it often gives them more of career because it elevates their looks.

Well celebrities are generally attractive to the majority of the population so I'm going to sit that part of the argument aside. My theory is that the "fake" women get pursued more not solely because of their looks but because they present themselves in a way to signify they are down for whatever.

I've seen a post on reddit where this guys wife got a boob job and she started to randomly flash them to people, which made him uncomfortable. Didn't know this but apparently that's a thing. My old coworkers wife got a mommy makeover BBL and then I start seeing mirror ass pics on her Facebook.

Imo these are the type of women to likely be more promiscuous and dress more revealing than the "plain Jane" women who's covered up and will make you work for it.

This is not true. The commonly-held belief between most men is they're against plastic surgery. Plenty of men advocate for not using (or wearing less) make up.

Men do not like fake women, and women do not get plastic surgery for them. Women get plastic surgery to raise their own status, and they do this for two reasons.

They're insecure about having a higher quality partner, so they get surgery as a form of mate retention.
They're not satisfied with the quality of their partner, so they get surgery to try and compete for a high value male that heavily prioritizes beauty in a partner even at the cost of legitimacy.

Lots of average guys tell their partner she's ""beautiful" without plastic surgery only for her to get it anyways as his expense, and then she leaves him for a Chad afterwards. If a woman is glowing up past you after previously not caring about her appearance in the relationship, then that is signal that she is not satisfied with you, and is looking to monkey branch.

Many men clearly value fake and extremely “glammed-up” women sure. But also clearly many don’t. The women in porn or the Instagram “thots” are obviously titillating to men, but most men don’t only want women who look like that. Those sorts of women are prevalent online and seem to get a very large amount of male attention and men throwing money at them and praising their beauty and sexiness. These women are playing up their sex appeal to the max and a lot of men just respond to that without thinking. It’s easy to look at that and say “men prefer fake women”. But, if you look around, most men are with women who don’t look like that - they seem to desire more ordinary women just fine.

I have gone through phases of seeing it this way too. And I think men in the manosphere often do the same thing when it comes to “Chad” and women. They discount all the obvious evidence that women fall for more ordinary men all the time - they think that women can’t show interest in extreme masculine ideals but also actually fall for men who don’t fit all those. They see it as women settling for and using a “beta” when they would happily get on their knees for “Chad” if he called them over. It’s paranoid. It happens, but it’s not the norm.

It works the same for men. We can clearly see many men paying a lot of attention to (and even spending a lot of money on) fake looking women - and we can follow that into thinking that a man is “settling” for a woman if she doesn’t look like that. We can presume: maybe he’s thinking of that woman while he’s having sex with his “Plain Jane” girlfriend or wife and he is just going “well, she’s better than nothing - I’m never going to get with the hot girls anyway”. We can think “if he got the chance, he’d be off with that Thot in a second if she called and opened her legs for him and he’d leave us behind”. That is also paranoid. It happens, but it’s not the norm.

Basically, people have fantasies and if they could somehow completely build a partner from scratch, they would likely put in features that very few people actually have to the same extent. Does this automatically mean that anything less than this ideal is “settled for”? That anything less is treated resentfully? That true desire cannot be felt for the more ordinary partner? No, I don’t believe so. But I can see how it can feel that way when you’re looking at it all from the outside and you are looking at it very literally.

I think men often go after women who they find sexually desirable, beauty can be a part of that but it isn't essential and not all genuinely beautiful women are sexually desirable to the extent that a man would notice her. The biggest part of being sexually desirable is to appear sexually available and women who want to be noticed and approved of in that way will signal their sexual availability (real or merely projected) though various methods including things like plastic surgery, fillers, hair extensions, make up, revealing or fitted clothing and so on.

I've noticed similar things in real life as well -- I've had a few acquaintances who dated some high profile men and always got stares and attention, and they all had work done. One of the best examples of this is that girl Francesca from those netflix reality dating shows. Every single man fawns all over her and there's not a single real part left on her lol.
