It depends on the setting. When I was in college, a lot of the girls I hooked up with were part of my extended social circle. Either from my dorm, friends of friends, involved in Greek life like me, etc. Doing what you're proposing would quickly earn you a reputation in that type of environment. It's not to say you couldn't meet other women at a large university, but repeatedly deceiving to get laid would reduce your options significantly.

I found the best approach was to very bluntly explain I'm only looking for something casual. I didn't realize that at the start of freshman year, and I caught some shit from a couple girls who were mad that I didn't want anything more than casual. I never even mislead them. We met at parties when we were drunk and hooked up that night without ever discussing what we were looking for. I would imagine that actively misleading on a regular basis would cause a lot of headaches.

It's more feasible for a guy on dating apps in a big city, but probably a good way to end up getting doxed in an "are we dating the same guy" group.

If you just want sex grow a pair of balls and say so in the beginning. Lying just gets you strung along on multiple dates you don't want to pay for. It can also cause the woman to retaliate by doing shit like keying your car.

because American society is this way, it is the only feasible option that will work. because anyone who says don't do this or don't do that will not give you any realistic option. in fact they will attempt to deceive you into a false sense of security.

There's a much easier way - just make it clear that you only want sex smoothly and confidently. If the woman you're talking to is attracted to you there's a chance she'll be down. Women often get turned on when a guy they like says something sexy.

I am wondering about something, that might seem obvious. Since u/psych0ticmonk and OP u/DrunkOnRamen are the two that seem closest to the subject, I'm mentioning you here for attention.

Issue - casual sex - fixing a problem.
What I can relate to, is the difference between having no experience with sex or relationships, and learning a bunch from my first relationship.
And I can relate to sex/intimacy, within the context of serious dating/relationship, meeting many needs. Touch, fun, playfulness, relief, power, desirability etc. etc. Though, casual sex, devoid of a relationship, or any sort of commitment, is not something I have actively dismissed. It feels distinctly stressful to me, and while I have longed for intimacy, in practice I have actively distanced myself from the few purely sexual advances from women I have experienced.

And while there are many needs that can be met through sex, do you mind saying something about why you choose casual sex as an approach to begin with? Yes, it might solve a "problem", but the way I view problems is that they are results of various needs not being met - and so since I can't readily understand why casual sex would be an option to solve my issues, is it okay if I ask you two what you are trying to solve in the first place? What the underlying need is to begin with?

If your only concern is achieving your goal, sure. But there's something to be said about going to sleep with a clear conscience and having a partner who actually cares about you in your life. It's a lonely road and i know as one of those top 10% men who wasted my 20's chasing achievements.
