First, I’m really sorry that women have to deal with anything that comes with being a woman? I hate being a man, but I won’t pretend like it isn’t dwarfed by the violence, fear, threats, genuine hatred, unwanted pregnancies and periods that come with being a woman. I’m doing my best to not both sides this, because it isn’t close.

But I’m wondering if any women reading this have at least some empathy for the loneliness of being a man. Women are often lonely as well, but it seems so much easier to make friends and get in a relationship. Like, women seem to have a very deep “sisterhood” that men are jealous of, and it feels so much harder as a man to get that. And it seems REALLY HARD to get into a relationship as a woman because it’s hard to tell who wants a relationship and who is lying for sex (disgusting), but if you have a crush on someone, you can just ask them out and not feel like a creep.

And of COURSE women need to prioritize safety over men’s feelings, but have you also been able to see why it might be painful to be labeled as a monster because you were born one way?

Anyway, mad respect and empathy for women dealing with what they do, it’s so fucked up. But is it at the same time possible to understand what sucks about being a man?
