Why spend toward the outcome of sleeping with a girl when in current year odds are she's slept with a guy she just met or didn't even know at some point who had to pay nothing?

I say if you're going to pay before you've slept with a girl because you're worried about "missing out" you might as well pay a hooker because at least then the sex is guaranteed with a hotter girl.

On the other hand, "$0" is a matter of principle. What about $8 (buy the first round of beers). This seems to be TRP's approach. One might argue "what's the difference between 0 and $8"?

Well the difference is that with "$0", you didn't even have to make a gesture. You just had to exist.

Way hotter (in my opinion, at least), and if you're not doing this for arousal, why are you doing this?

Well if that's what you want (God knows why, but so it is), let's break it down:

You want an egalitarian relationship: obviously you should not pay for the other person, especially not before you've slept with them

You want a traditional relationship: in current year 🤣 good luck buddy, but at the end of the day what choice do you have but to pay? If you haven't yet concluded that they don't exist, that means you think some do exist, but you're certainly not going to find them by going dutch. You'll have to accept that some men might've had some play without paying , but you're going to have to make peace with that at every step (other guys might've had some play without committing, etc.) Tradition indeed.
