My first warning signs where when she stopped answering my messages. I would go 3 days sometimes without her even reading my messages to her, let alone getting a reply. Again, she told me she was just working a lot and tired and she wasn't answering messages from anyone.

Anyway. On Tuesday I finally had some free time and messaged her to no answer as usual. So I went on my PlayStation to do some gaming. I checked her profile out of habit and it said she hasn't been online in a week but her recent activity feed said she had been playing a game the day before. And she had a new guy in her friends list.

She finally answered my message a few hours later and I asked who the guy was she told me he was just some guy from reddit who she had talked about a film dissertation with. I said cool, nice to know she had been telling me she had no free time while she was hanging out with random guys from the Internet.

She got really defensive and thats when I started to get worried. She said she's an adult and she can do what she wants in her free time. I agreed, but said it's shady that she's lying to me about being busy while hanging out with men.

Thats when things completely fell apart. She told me she doesn't want me in her life anymore and that she can't take all the negativity and me questioning her all the time, despite this being the first time in 5 years I have questioned her about anything regarding her actions with other guys.

We started to argue since this came out of absolutely nowhere and when I said we can work it out she told me no. Her mind is made up and she's interested in someone else, that it won't lead anywhere, but it made her realise that she doesn't want me anymore.

I asked who she is interested in. And she admitted that it was the "just some guy" from reddit. I asked her how long she was been interested in him. She said she has been talking to him for around a month but realised she was attracted to him around 2 weeks ago.

I asked if she had been hanging out with him while she was telling me she was at work or sleeping. She said yes. I asked why she said nothing would come of it. She aid he is happily married with 2 kids.

She then admitted to making a move on him and that he rejected her and told her he sees her as a friend. Then I insulted her for the first time and last time ever. I said she was a selfish piece of shit. Not only for doing what she did to me but also for trying to rip a guy's family apart and not thinking about his wife or kids. I actually can't believe she has done this. I thought she was a good person. The best of people actually.

Then I asked her if she is going to continue hanging out with him. She said yes. I said it's shady as fuck that he wants to keep seeing her knowing she has feelings for him. She said nothing would come of it and that him being married is "a huge barrier."

I said she shouldn't be seeing a guy being married as a barrier, it should be a no go.

Everything after that is a blur. In one day I went from being in a happy relationship with what I thought was the love of my life to being alone, hurt, and confused. I can't sleep. I feel shell-shocked. Physically weak. I don't know what to do. I feel like I am going to throw up 24/7. This is the absolute lowest point in my life and I dont know how I am going to recover from this.

I sometimes think that it’s useful to distinguish between a more mundane “attraction,” meaning the appeal toward dating someone vs something like “arousal,” meaning something more like raw sexual chemistry. It seems to me like both qualities will absolutely get guys dates (and I may even grant “attraction” would garner more dates, particularly by late 20s or so), but it also seems like guys with more “arousal” cues get treated a lot better.

My dad told me a story about his job that is really bothering me. He works security at a hospital, and he found another security officer (who was off-duty) hanging out in the children's behavioral health unit and chatting with a 12 year old black girl. I think the fact that nearly every male athlete/ famous person cheats shows that men are only as loyal as their options. Men who don’t cheat want to act holier than though even though they would definitely cheat if they were in that position.

The fact the male cheating and female cheating are at the same rate tells you that men are trying harder to cheat but only a few are successful at actually getting someone to cheat with. Women get sex easy why aren’t female cheating rates through the roof?

Most men are just straight up unappealing to the majority of women. I don't get the point of these guys trying to tell women to stoop down. In fact, i think most women would rather live and die single than entertain even 1 of these men. Plus the fact that we hear so many guys get brutally rejected and/or friendzoned or something along those lines is very telling. Men love to shoot above their league. Then we get 300 posts on this sub about how women are "delusional" when they think they're in the same league as the women they find attractive. Which in most cases, they aren't.
