I've been a fairly good looking, tall dude since I basically hit puberty. I had my good share of women during my sexually active life, and I've always had my pick, so no complains.

The thing is, when I was 20-25, I was struggling to keep ahead, I had a shitty job and I worked a lot of hours a day for a few bucks and on top of that had to worry about my education. Just for the sake of discussion, I lost my virginity when I was 14 to a 23 years old girl, and I racked like 16-18 numbers before 20, so it's not like I didn't have my ways with girls you know.

At 36, he has just won the most important, prestigious trophy that could possibly exist among all sports, the FIFA World Cup, he was also the "Man of the Tournament", and he's going to win his 8th Golden Ball without doubt this year...

Against a 23 years old Haaland and a 24 years old Mbappé, and their "physical peak" (physical explosion peak) which shows speed alone =/= athleticism. Facts, not words.

So back to me...

Across the board, my experience pretty much matches 90% of the male population I would say (apart from the fact that I'm tall, jacked and good looking of course) because lets be honest, being a dude in your 20's suck, no matter how much "potential" to be awesome you have, you're basically... Well, NOT awesome, at least if you belong to the 99.9% of normal men in this planet.

Of course, a 23 years old guy with a great body, a lot of life experiences, a well stablished career path, an oversized bank account and a lot of charisma, confidence and a fun, extroverted and outgoing personality would face no competition in the dating market but...

Come on. How many gorgeous, smart, well off and intresting 23 years old guys do you know? I tell you, on my part, cero. None.

23 yo guys can't even grow a beard, they have no money, no personality, their sense of style absolutely sucks, they look like slobs and on top of that can't even grow the balls to go talk to women.

I'm not making this up, I mean a good chunk of guys on their early twenties are virgins and for good reassons.

Go to a gym, take a look at the men's bodies, and tell me which group of men are the ones in better shape, the teens and 20' something guys, or the +30.

As a gym dude, I tell you, from the population of men that DO take care of themselves, +30 years old men are in better shape than guys.

Go to a pub, a bar, a night club, the rock/metal under scene in your local city, tell me which ones are the men who pull the most, the 20' something or the guys in their late 20's and early 30's. Tell me which men dress better, talk better, have more "means", have their own place at the end of the night and a car to take a girl there. Tell me what age, on average, are the musicians on stage girls pay tickets to see.

Because when I was 20 I was paying tickets to listen to rock bands, I rode an ol' bycicle and I lived in a small apartment that barely have a bed and a radio.

I now am the lead guitar in MY band, I have a Honda Shadow 750' and a Chevrolet Nova 73' ("Chevy" here in my country) and I live rent free.

And the funny part is, one of the gals I'm seing just turned 23 last month or so, and honestly I don't like to think about it too much because, damn...

There is a guy out there who's 23, like me a decade ago, with so much potential... Yet I'm banging his soulmate to Oblivion every night.

This entire post ignores that men and women are attracted to very different things, largely based on an evolutionary imperative. Men are largely attracted to young, pretty and fertile women. Women are largely attracted to strong, capable men.

Women, unless they are morbidly obese and have massive personality problems get handed the keys to the kingdom, so to speak, in their late teens / early 20s when their SMV is highest.

Because it was never earned, they often mismanage it or don't appreciate that it has a very finite window before it's gone.

Men, have to actually earn their SMV. They have to BECOME strong and powerful and develop confidence and status, often while society feeds them conflicting messages. As an almost 50 year old man, I have to disagree. And not for the obvious reason.

While it is true that I see older women fuck the young pool boy, college student, barista, chad on a tropical location when she herself is at least 2 decades older, for the most part, women's age preferences change with her aging.

There is a big difference between SMV in general and SMV in attracting women aged 18-25.

A man has the greatest SMV in general when he is attractive to as many women as possible so he has the most options. The average age of a woman is around 40 years. And women are usually not attracted to men who are significantly younger.

A handsome man aged 35 is still attractive to women aged 18-25 (although perhaps not their absolutely ideal choice), but he is also attractive to women under 40. So he can choose from a much larger pool of attractive women.

I agree that the age range for peak male SMV is likely earlier and much more similar to that of the peak female SMV than is commonly discussed here.

However, this assumes that the person has no impediments towards pursuing maximizing their attractiveness. There's lots of us who don't have access to healthy food, well fitting clothes, etc. until we have our own money.

The age of peak IQ is also much younger than most people think as well. It's just that so many people (especially in the US) do not have access to the education or resources until later in life to make use of their intelligence.

I'm gonna go with the female anecdotal route here on this one and say its not true because its not my story. At 21-25 I wasn't getting women and the women my age were getting older men. I was oblivious to a lot of things that I thought would be good for me such as the way I dressed, not realizing that it didn't make me look attractive. Whwn I hit about 33 was when I changed a lot of things and was seen more attractive to women. Plus I have a much better income than some 21 year old kid working at Old Navy making $7.50 an hour. I have a much positive outlook on life and its like women can feel that kind of energy that I put out. I look back at myself from when I was 19-25 and realized how fucked up I was because I didn't know any better. Now I know better and try to make up for my past mistakes. Believe it or not I don't even think I've reached my peak yet. I look a lot younger than 37 and have been looking younger than my actual age my entire life (maybe another reason why I couldn't get women those days for constantly being accused of be a high school kid then). My SMV is much better than 15 or 20 years ago and thats the motivation that keeps me going.

I wish those kids who stuggle with women because of their low SMV when they are 21-25 would understand that better days are coming and don't give up. I almost did but theres a light at the end of the tunnel.

For most guys I know they had a peak at 21-23 (late college) followed by a shocking lull then a slower more lasting rise roughly 28-42.

You can argue the potential peak is higher at 21 if you’re like a D1 football player or something.

High RMV/SMV guys at 28+ aren’t checking for 18-21 year old women though. The quantity vs quality thing is already kicking in, and that life experience gap is substantial.

Agreed, Thankfully most men can still beat out men 5-10 years younger by increase their value.

If they did it 10 years earlier they would look better. But competition is not so steep its impossible for a well adjusted 25 year old women to choose a high enough value 35 year old man over a 25 year old man.

But yeah alot of RPers who are so detached from reality they think a 45+ they can still pull early twenties baddies who are in it for more then just money. Which is not possible unless your Leonardo DiCaprio or something.

No, you are not accounting for the men who "fail to launch" in their career and peak in high school. The RP recognizes peak physical looks for younger men. But that doesn't mean you will keep them, so it's more valuable in terms of genetics to still be fit later. With age you also acquire other skills. And savings to start a family with.

Look up "costly signaling theory". At 21-25 your cost is zero. It's easy to be fit. Easy to have a car while living with your parents. What is costly? Growth. Consistency. Study. Skills. Results. You can't beat the 40 year olds in the firm. Buddy you still have to answer everyone with "yes sir".

The red pill idea that men somehow benefit from aging itself is completely wrong and based on fantasy. Men have the advantage of being punished somewhat less harshly than women for aging, but it's still a negative. In my early adulthood if a guy was single at 35-50 realistically the 1st question is: what's wrong with him? If he's so great, why is he single? And if he is single at that age it's hard to figure out which is worse, his divorce(s) and or kids or that he's that old and has never committed.

You can potentially peak 35-50 because your competition dwindles to almost nothing. A peaked 25 year old still has a bunch of other guys to contend with who haven't let themselves go yet or are in the process of letting themselves go. You would much rather peak later in life than earlier.

In addition to visual attractiveness, women grade men on social skills and status, both of which continue to rise well into men's middle years. The actual SMV peak for men is early to mid 30's depending on when their physical losses overpower their social skills and status gains.
