A lot of people here are defending TRP with a Motte and Bailey tactic.

It's always like "but TRP helped me immensely by teaching me to take a shower, to get fit, to dress better, to get a haircut, to be more confident and to get a hobby" - which simply describes every single piece of dating advice and leaves away exactly everything people criticize TRP for, which is all the misogynistic views on women; dismissive views on relationships/friendships/communication/intimacy/romance; their idea that women hate compassionate, empathetic and nice men; their manipulative tactics and their fetishitation of dark triad men.

So exactly in what ways was it helpful that you didn't already hear from everywhere around you? What did you learn that isn't basic life advice that you could have gotten anywhere else without all the garbage attached to it?
