When he was all "oh you should teach me sometime" I instantly saw a red flag. Any guy that asks a woman to "teach" him something in the context of dating is very likely to be porn sick, with a "hot teacher" fantasy.

Men don't usually like to be seen as less. Less intelligent, skilled, whatever, and men never ask women for help because it's emasculating. I don't trust men that are too eager to ask to be "taught" something by a woman.

For me the first red flag is him asking her to teach him how to do art.

He was already making the relationship transactional. This is a red flag in the art community as well. Ladies do not teach a man jack shit that hasn't been properly vetted. If a guy (or anyone really) who is completely new to you is asking to learn a skill you just talked about, tell them "fuck you, pay me." ... maybe a bit nicer or something, but make it clear you'll need payment to teach a skill.

And if they immediately ask for you to make free art for them? Run for the hills. This is always, always, always a red flag in my experience. Even between friends.

The second red flag is sexualizing the fucking white crayon. Third is when he said he lasts longer than said crayon... that is where the condo should have ended tbh.

The bit that bothers me the most is where he admits he's just testing a boundary. He clearly knows the game he's playing and it's obviously a known and rehearsed tactic for men. His explanation came out as uneventfully as anything.

People test boundaries when they want to know the limits, he wants to know how much scope there is in you to accept his crap before you'll stand your ground and call him out on it. He wants to know how much room there is to manipulate you and exploit a potential relationship for what he can get out of it. And he did it so casually like it's second nature to him, just another day at the office.

Men know all about this game. They all know it and they're experts at it. He didn't stumble in his attempt at all or feel bad about it. This guy has no empathy and will make a terrible partner.

Healthy relationships aren't built between people who test boundaries to see how far they can push it, and he knows this. The being explosive when he doesn't get what he wants is still horrifying but his ease at attempting to exploit you is just chilling for me. He's no better than a feral animal, no humanity in him at all.

Men will say such sweet things to your face but they're just words meant to impress you, that's not who they are. Behind your back they're talking to each other about tactics like testing your boundaries and trying to get nude pics. So gross.
