I don't really know what you are talking about but it sounds like pop psychoanalysis.

"Chad" is a man who is extremely successful with women due to his appearance, just like "top 1%" is a person who is extremely rich.

The Chads I have met have some combination of height, good looks, good bodies, etc., but what they have in common is that they effortlessly have sex and relationships. However their personalities, intelligence, and career prospects vary.

The "top 1%" have some combination of business savvy, high-powered job, etc., but what they have in common is that they are super rich.

Sure, any rich person can make me feel insecure about being poor, but of course multi-millionaires exist and have a real impact on the world.

Whether Chad makes incls insecure is irrelevant to whether Chads are out there.

Here's what a "Chad" is according to PPD

all you have to do is look at the single men who are getting the “MOST” sex and look at the single men who are getting the least amount of sex in each age bracket from 18+, and boom you have your answer.

“Chads” aren’t necessarily the guys with the highest body counts. They’re the guys who get the sex/relationships they want more of the time. That can mean 2 women if that’s what they want.

Chad might be a total asshole who can’t speak English and sucks in bed with ED and a 3” micro penis ... does not matter he still gets laid with zero effort.

A guy who can regularly get sex outside of a relationship so fuckbuddies, one night stands, threesomes ect. Not necessarily desirable to every girl but similar to what you said maybe 20-30% of any random group of women would be DTF for him.

Generally he will be 6ft or taller have a fit body, full head of hair, symmetric masculine face and a dick >=7 inches.

The only dudes who get approached are Chads.

Chad is that mouth breathing idiot with nothing going for him but raw alpha masculinity vis a vis confidence and muscles. A Dark Triad asshole.

he's a dumb airhead asshole who is in control at all times socially and always in one way or another gets all the women on his side supporting everything he does no matter how good or bad it is.

Most of them are more driven or industrious than the average schlub, they work for what they want (good SAT and college included - well, that and fucking).

You say that, and yet that is EXACTLY what people are doing with the concept of Chad on here, so no, I don't think everyone understands what the concept is.

I watch it play out on here where two people are talking about two different, sometimes opposing, things and agree because instead of actually articulating their idea they just throw Chad in there...

Someone will say something along the lines of "This Chad I know always has women around him, is getting laid all the time, etc" and someone else will agree that is a Chad. You press them on who this Chad is and they'll say he's this guy they know who's 5'9 9/10 face and in excellent shape. You then look at the guy who agreed with him and his post history reveals he doesn't believe anyone under 6ft can be a Chad.. you have to be a 6/6/6 to be even considered one...

Both men have a different view of what "Chad" is, but they agree when just using that term and the circle jerk continues. This goes round and round until someone will use Chad to mean some slightly above average guy they know who hooked up with a girl at a party, or a dude who can get more than a couple matches on a dating app and no one bats an eye... It happened on here with simp and it's happening with Chad

Define success.

Regardless, Chad can't be a person given the different standards for him that I've read in just the last couple of hours... Successful men exist and they obtain that success through a myriad of ways, but Chad is just the result of a dude trying to externalize his own feelings on why others have it better/easier than him

Chad isn't a person in the same way a clear day isn't THE clear day. Chad is simply a highly sexually successful man. The myriad of ways is hight, facial symmetry, high iq, high social intelligence, high social status, high class and high earning or high earning ability. That doesn't mean a Chad can be everything other than tall or everything other than high class. My dating success can largely be put down to being very tall, noticably in shape and educated.

My schools Twitter community in heated discussion over gender wage gap right now.

80%ish of our STEM majors are men.

I have no idea how a bunch of Fashion (and other) majors can straight maintain a straight face and say it’s sexist that their professions aren’t paid as well as engineers, doctors, traders and more.

I side with women on a lot of things, but this is just one thing they do not understand. If Art majors got paid the same as fucking doctors we would have no doctors.

They don’t understand that we avoid those majors for a reason. A man picking art major oftentimes is him committing to a tough life to follow his passion. A woman picking art major is her committing to landing a solid earning man while following her passion. We avoid those majors because it is a bad investment for a woman, and an absolutely atrocious investment as a man.

They legit are blind to the privilege they have in that regard. Actually they aren’t blind, which is what pisses me off even more. They are college educated, not dumbasses. They know they’re privileged in that regard, and it’s a slap in the face to see them deny it.

The thing is none of this is a secret. Except for a very tiny minority of famous artists or fashion designers, most are not bringing in IB income. It's not "society" deciding it's worth less. It literally just is worth less, for countless reasons. The world may benefit from having a large market of artists and designers, but it just doesn't need that many to function. So only a few will get the treasure, the rest have to find some way to be satisfied with their work for intrinsic reasons.

People who pursue their passions deserve respect but it's a conscious tradeoff. They lose out on the cash and quality of life and in exchange they get to work in a field they're passionate about. And the best ones know that, they always were in it to indulge their passion and get a different kind of satisfaction out of their work that most people in the rat race envy.

Why would you have conflict over money? Whatever money I bring in is ours and vice versa. One of the things I vetted for in a wife is financial responsibility so I don't even have to think about, let alone worry about, her spending. It's her money too, she can buy whatever the fuck she likes. For any major purchases, we both consult each other. We're far too old and mature now to be buying any frivolous expensive things just for ourselves, but neither of us are "materialistic" (for want of a better word) people.

I guess if I was a profligate spendthrift and married a similar woman, I might be worried about her spending. But in that situation, I think it would say more about me than her.

The restriction isn’t to late term abortions.

There’s waiting periods where women have to meet with the doctors, then wait a certain number of days for the procedure.

This adds to expense if significant travel is involved or if the woman has no paid sick leave.

It interferes with the doctor patient relationship because only the woman and the doctor can decide if informed consent can be obtained. Or whether the woman needs more time to think.

And then there’s the BS they continually try to pass. Like the doctor being forced to give and describe a sonogram to the woman.

There are states that already have laws in the books outlawing abortion, ready to go if Roe v Wade is overturned.

Maybe you are aware of the stink over teaching “Darwinism” that went on for decades in the US.

And every election we are reminded our reproductive rights are a carrot and a stick to be held over us.

A lot of secular, western nations don’t have the yee haw contingent of rubes who think the earth is 6000 years old and abortion should be banned.

Patriarchal religions are a subculture in this country that affects women. My point is I don’t k ow why people are hooting and pointing at the Taliban so women can see real patriarchy when we’ve had religious fundamentalists on our asses for decades.

Of course this is small to you and in no way comparable. But we know the difference is a matter of degree and not kind.

Last move in day for me coming up on Monday. So nervous, so excited.

Skipped a few days of class but fuck it, first 5 days are always a load of bullshit.

Freshman class has an insanely skewed ratio this year, and the vast majority of our dropouts/ students who transfer out are males.

Last two semesters are going to be a movie, already have some girls lined up to hang. Deep down though, I’m kinda nervous. I fear this is going to be the last few months of me living like this.

I have outstanding career prospects, but I’ve had so many people imply that this is going to be my last hurrah. That nothing will ever be as fun as this. That the women will never be as easy. That responsibilities are the death of all fun.

So excited to bang this year out and start getting money, so scared I’m a few days from the last best days of my life.

Nope. Take it from me, i graduated and immediately my dating prospects improved. Why? Because i moved from a small southern college town to a large city. There are so many more hot women. There are clubs with dime pieces that you'd never find in a college town. Now, i was dating during that whole time until 2wk ago, but i had more girls express clear interest in me when i was with my buddies in the one year there so far than i did in my entire college career (i had to approach almost exclusively in college).

While it's true that you often have less time to party and such than you did in college, you still have plenty of time.

The clock starts winding down in the late 20s.

Enjoy the last parts of the college experience, but don't you worry. It's not the peak of your life, that's what sad people who picked the wrong major and work as a barista with 150k in debt say, lmao.

Sure, but those are actual real symptoms of low testosterone in men, just as acne, excessive body hair, risk-seeking behaviors, muscle growth and, paradoxically, low sperm count are symptoms of high testosterone.

But the guy you posted wasn’t going on about you having a smooth acne free complexion or extreme risk aversion. The connection between testosterone and what kind of person you’re attracted to is a whole lot less clear. Rapists are varied in their motivation, but a lot of rapists already believe the victim wanted it, so this is far from a winning strategy a lot of the time. From the linked article, discussing the most common type of serial rapist:

This rapist is polite and tries to involve the victim, exhibiting signs of "affection" by hugging and kissing. He fantasizes that the sex is consensual and the victim will enjoy it. Some ask the victim to compare their sexual performance to that of other men, or ask the victim if she would like to get together again - in rare cases, even giving their names and phone numbers to their victims.

Doesn’t seem like a good idea to encourage a guy likely to be a rapist stalker.

It’s also a pretty unrealistic plan: you can’t know until you’re in the situation how you’ll react for sure. If you ever feel like your life is genuinely in danger (and this goes for everything, not just rape alone), don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t pull off a pre-planned unpracticed scenario in a moment of true desperation or panic.

It’s also worth noting that most criminals are genuinely stupid.

Just wondering how important making the switch from android to iPhone is. This goes for casual sex and full on, commited relationships. I currently have an LG Stylo, and while I am interested in trying Iphone, transfering all my crap over sounds exhausting. I want to know how important, socially and sexually, having an Apple Iphone is.

I don't think he's articulating the issue the best way possible so I will chime in here, if I may:

Take women out of the equation here. Now assume a man is indeed a productive member of society, okay, so far so good. Now imagine if his productivity gains him no respect, no reward, no payoff. Suddenly this productive chap is now a cog in a machine. His life has become a rat race.

He's no longer a man but mere chattel, a disposable utility at he whim and will of society.

So what's a guy to do? The answer is: "walk away." Such a man will not put into the machine more than is necessary to retrieve what he himself needs to survive. There is no point in serving a society that does not serve us in return, in fact, it is foolish and degrading to serve a society that has no respect for us. The best solution is to walk away from such a society and only trade for what we need from it giving it no more of ourselves than what we need for our own good.

Therefore a man will clock in his 40 hours a week, get his paycheck, and pay his taxes to keep the roads paved and that's pretty much it. No heroism, no initiative, no service, no volunteering, no sticking our necks out for anyone else. And if any element within said society decides to disrespect us that is entirely their choice under freedom of speech - we will exercise our own right and talk back and also pull our funding from any organization that chooses to rattle our cage so to speak. As men we vote with our wallets as well as our political ballot. We choose who we will give money to and who we will withhold it from just as we choose who we give our effort to and whom we will withhold it from.

Ours is a more Stoic world view and we do not believe in bothering with those things that are beyond our control.

It's true that most men aren't incels, but just because we're not entirely dropping out of society doesn't mean we will fully support it either. We will only ever support that which supports us in return and just walk away from everything else. Oh there is a building on fire? Sure hope someone phones the fire department. Oh someone is being mugged? Most I'm willing to do is call the cops after I get myself to a safe distance from the mugger. That is what the police are paid for, I am not on the payroll therefore it is not my job to save victims or put out fires. That's what my taxes are for so that someone else is paid to do that as their profession.

Notice that at no point did I ever mention women specifically. This is because we are just fed up with the entire thing, the entire machine, not just with half of the population that decided to throw us overboard a long time ago. Those men who fixate on women are both blind and foolish to think that only one gender is responsible for the dagger on their back.

This is an issue that men have been facing since we fist started banding together into tribes and eventually nations. It is an immensely complex issue where better men than me have have already tried to solve it thousands of years before my time, so bear in mind that an anonymous nobody on the internet like me isn't going to solve it - or even articulate it properly - with one reddit post.

But here is what I know:

The biggest thing that makes men into cogs is our utility to a greater impersonal cause. When men subscribe to such a thing we always run the risk of being impersonalized ourselves, dehumanized, turned into machines, or expendable workers/soldiers.

This is the stuff that Labor Unions and Political Rebellions are created from. Across history we see examples of this from Spartacus to Che Guevara. Men have over and over tried tried to correct the errors in the machine we have created, often times justly and just as often misguidedly. All revolutions and all rebellions have one thing in common: They all start because men realize there is something very fucked up with the system and they feel a strong compulsion to try and correct it.

And like I said, very often the cause goes awry or they try to implement solutions that are far worse than the decease, such as communism.

What makes men into cogs in the machine of any system is when men are expected to function as a disposable utility at the service and behest of that machine. Employees working themselves into an early grave for a company just to enrich it's elites, or soldiers being used as canon fodder to further the political/national interests of a bureaucracy that doesn't give a fuck about them. Anything and everything that makes men into a number on your screen or a statistic on a piece of paper is the problem. Why else are dating apps, for example, such a high point of contention here in this subreddit? What do these apps do if not distill a mans entire humanity into a picture and statistics?

What needs to change in society for men to not feel this way anymore? Buddy, men have been philosophizing and revolutionizing for that answer for the better part of these last 3,000 years as far as we can tell from records left behind by those ancient men. I don't have any more of a clue than they did.

The only ones who have ever come come close to a viable solution are the Stoics and their solution only works at the personal level, it does nothing to solve the problem societywise. One can only act within one's power to dislodge ourselves from the machine as best as we can and have the ability to walk away from it or trade with it while giving no fucks if the entire damned things crumbles due to our lack of participation. Because one thing we have learned over these millennia is this: The Machine depends entirely on our cooperation. A man can always choose to walk away, that is the original spirit of MGTOW.

This is not some new thing, it's an ancient wisdom that has been recently becoming popular due to the fact that it can be applied to our relations with women as well as our relations to the state, to culture, to countries, and to the world at large. If any system isn't giving us our due it is wiser to walk away and let it go fuck itself rather than try to fight it. Gandhi and Martin Luther King figured it out.

I don't know what his life philosophy is but as a MGTOW the point is that we remove "sex" from every equation and it makes our lives a lot less complicated and happier because of it. It is not easy though. Millions of men are starting to view their sexuality as a burden because they are finding out the hard way that we can't just turn off our attraction and this is creating an incredible frustration and resentment in them and men all across the board are more than ever wishing for a way to delete/erase/suppress their sexual attraction to women.

All I can say is that it gets easier with age, Past 30 we aren't as hormonally driven as when we are in our 20's and life does get easier and less stressed about chasing after women. The body chills out, we feel less pangs of attraction and we gain a clearer way of thinking. But it's all contingent on keeping a focused mind and not indulging in those feelings. Ironically it means that true blue MGTOW don't watch porn either because it is an unnecessary stressor that triggers those old pangs of attraction. Thus we tend to avoid porn and some even practice averting our gaze so that we do not even look at attractive women anymore and risk getting tempted. This takes a lot of practice but it's doable.

It amuses me how much women decry porn when the only men who actively avoid porn are religious zealots and MGTOW who intentionally want to avoid those feelings for women or anything that may tempt them to. I believe this is why we so often refer to life as a Circus, it is all one big joke when you think about it. This is just one of it's punchlines.

Interesting. Yes. Capitalism is just a reflection of us.

Though I do think we make structure, systems and bureaucracies to serve us. Then we end up serving them.

I think perhaps health can be balance. We see how things in nature strive for balance, even down to atoms.

I think man has made the world in his own image. Women wanted freedom in that world. They could be free as women, but men accused them of corrupting and changing their spaces. Or they could fit in the world men made.

I don’t think the goal should ever have been equality. Woman has to lower herself at times to be equal to men. As when we decided sexual freedom for women was for them to act like men.

Or, when women are told that now they are free, they have to sign up for selective service and fight in wars. That’s male nonsense we’re expected to fit into like a square peg in a round hole.

The world has always been out of balance. There’s a chance to change that but I think we’re all too dumb.

We build systems and bureaucracies as intangible tools for dealing with the intangible world of interpersonal organization (society) - and as with physical tools we often end up getting reshaped by our own tools the way our jaws have adapted to cooked food as opposed to the "natural" raw and fibrous meals our ancient ancestors ate.

I don't think man has made the world in his own image as much as man has declared war on nature due to our perception of it as adversarial to our existence and to our well being.

The natural world is full of peril, strife, disease, grief, predators, and all manner of "evil" and suffering: Cancer, Storms, Floods, Disease, Aging, and even our own bodies such as our current war against our own sexuality.

So I think that since the days of our cognitive awakening, when the first of our ape ancestors became self aware, we have seen nature itself - both within and without - as an adversary, an enemy to our will to live and to our well being which is why we have the instinct to do battle with it on all fronts from sheltering ourselves from it's elements to engineering medicine and technologies that defy our natural frailties and limitations and to mentally structuring our minds and thoughts in such a way to discipline our bodies and deny our passions because these too are "natural" therefore adversarial - they are the enemy.

But more than that, man instinctively sees nature is more than just a foe, but as an uncaring and impersonal machine or monster that is no different than the beastly impersonal and uncaring bureaucracies we create to remove ourselves from other men.

Man's subconscious war against nature is therefore man's great assertion that he matters, that we are not some amoeba or some sparrow whose death and passing in time will be as meaningless as the next. It is a core instinct in masculinity itself to assert our worth and value in an impersonal world that is neither conscious nor caring about our existence. Women want to matter in the eyes of men, Men want to matter in the eyes of nature so much so that we invented the gods to make believe that it has a consciousness.

I believe the antagonism always starts when women try to assert themselves with men by specifically embodying the same traits of nature that man is subconsciously at war with. For example, women dressing sexy reminds men that they are not really in control of their passions but are liable to be puppets. One's passions acting like strings to be pulled and manipulated. It's a subconscious taunt and a tease, and men, depending on their level of self discipline, will feel distracted at best or angered and mocked at worst.

The goal should have always been one of respect, the same as that which men have for one another - for the most part. Saying that women have to "lower themselves" to be equal to men is a poor choice of words. It implies there is some sort of superiority which is ridiculous. A more adequate description would be to say that women have to warp themselves to fit into a masculine mold. Like you said: "Fitting a square peg on a round hole."

Men and women need to have a respect for each other's differences and recognize that we are not each other. Men are not women; and women are not men.

I don't think there has ever been a point in time when our relationship was ever "healthy" because the natural definition of what healthy means is not necessarily what is good as I have already explained above. In nature's eyes, if women were to be enslaved and allocated to the roles of servant-brood stock used only for breeding and menial tasks it would be a major boon for the survival of our species because Nature doesn't give a shit about things such as Justice, Fairness, Kindness, etc. Those are human inventions in defiance against nature.

Nature only selects for that which works. Meaning that man himself would quickly become obsolete in competition with the efficiency of Machines which is why there is so much anxiety over the mechanization of our modern culture.

Even if unconscious machines don't take over it will still mean that man has to become a machine. An unfeeling, uncaring, disposable utility in service to someone else. Stripped of all that makes him a man just as a woman relegated to brood-stock is stripped of everything that makes her a woman. Both being dehumanized.

All we can do is keep experimenting until we get it right, we need to keep building on past wisdom and not lose focus on what we are fighting for or else we will end up fighting with each other as we so very often have ended up doing in the past.

Women can’t totally separate themselves from nature.

Neither can men although that sure hasn't stopped us from trying.

Take men's latest attempts at trying to delete their attraction to women either by drugs, discipline, or some other means because they feel it is intolerable to continue in this state of affairs. It is not that men see women as a problem, it is our attraction to women that is the problem and the only one which we do have control over. Which is why some men are experimenting with ways to eliminate it like a decease.

Also, when men turn antagonistic towards women it is usually because women 1. remind us of our meaningless existence or 2. present themselves as our adversary and an ally of nature. Your bodily functions have nothing to do with it, it's the psychological aspect. When we are interacting with women on a day to day basis we're not watching you bleed or giving birth all day every day. We are observing your interaction with us, the way you think, speak, emote, prioritize, and act. Women don't represent lust, women are the ones we lust after (to put it in a grossly oversimplified way); and that means we are mighty vulnerable to distraction and manipulation through that avenue.

Note: I had to mention "grossly oversimplified" because our attraction to women is not just purely sexual but also sympathetic, personal, and emotional. We feel a natural sympathy for women and a curiosity towards them which is beyond just animal desire to mate. It's the reason simps exist, men who just want to be around women and feel a sense of calm and joy with interacting with them. We are designed to feel good being around women, especially happy women which is what leads simps to bend over backwards to try and please women.

It is difficult to be impartial towards women when our brain is literally hard wired to chemically compel us to seek and work towards having sex with them and form a fascination with them. Even in the best of cases it is a very irritating distraction that requires focusing our mind away from carnal desire. Think of trying to do your job while you are hungry and you become hangry.

Lust is a type of hunger now imagine a man having to put up with it while he is trying to work and then be mocked by women and called weak over a bodily function in which we have no control over. Telling men to just stop being horny is the equivalent telling you to just stop feeling hungry and ignore your rumbling stomach and get to work! Of course, some men, depending on their genes and hormonal balance, have much stronger control over their physical pangs than others and while some can go a whole morning without eating others cannot function adequately without breakfast. Man's control of his biological lust works the same way. Some men have total control while some have almost zero. For some it's a minor irritation or a nuisance, for others it's so distracting it interferes with their quality of life. The incels are usually of the latter kind which is why they snap and go on rampages while the rest of us just look on.

Also, as far as man being the default I would argue for how that default came to be. Men do not set arbitrary standards. We usually set them based on what produces the most or the desired results. Militaries and Businesses are set up in such a way because those structures have proven to be the best working models irregardless of what men's opinions about them may be. There is no "This is the standard that I feel is best" as women seem to think. It is more like "This is what works, everyone conform, Now!" As I explained in my previous post men's greatest mistake is dehumanizing themselves in their war against nature.

Men are aware that we are fighting against an impartial and unconscious thing thus we very often make the mistake of becoming impartial and unconscientious ourselves. This is why we so often appear uncaring, cold, distant, and cruel... just like the enemy we are subconsciously fighting. It is the reason boys develop a fascination with machines and non-personal things.

At some point, boys eventually want to divorce their humanity and become like machines themselves. We develop a sort of disdain for personalism and feelings (Me/Ego) and an admiration for the impersonal and mechanical (It/Other). I have always found this strange since it is the very thing we are also rebellious against about Nature. It's uncaring, cold, cruel, and impersonal manifestation. Perhaps we are responding in kind and being as equally cold, uncaring and just as cruel against nature itself.

This is a really interesting comment.

I’ve often thought that men have a curiosity about women outside of a desire for sex. Women are also difficult to understand, as in pin down. I’ve read research that shows women’s desire can be even confusing to them. Then there are these other beings that want to understand what we don’t understand.

I know nature doesn’t have a purpose. But it’s probably very beneficial to society that women pique men’s natural curiosity. That way we’re kept around and receive the many benefits of male presence.

I was trying to say that men connect women with nature true. I think the way you explained it makes sense. But I think women have a deep connection with nature and being animals.

I heard a women talk about natural childbirth, and when she talked about getting the urge to push, she said it was the most primal thing she’d ever felt.

Anyway, for some reason, women feel loathe to extend kindness and compassion to men as a group. Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know where for sure it’s coming from.

We were proud of building it because there was a point in time where we believed we were building it for you. As in, for women as mothers, daughters, sisters, and companions whom we felt we should provide for. Even as greedy billionaires exploited the labor of millions of men, those millions of men all sold their labor to these corporations so that they may bring their wages to their women and give them a home and put food on the table. From boys wanting to give to mom or girlfriend to husbands wanting to provide for their wife and kids. This was the old way.

The thing only became a house of cards when women decided to mine the foundations and push over the structure with the ongoing mass organized shit-test called feminism. Men collectively feel betrayed, mocked, insulted and scorned. How exactly do you expect men to feel or what do you expect them to do?

The most restrictive filter is 6 figures, second to that is weight, and third is loyalty. The statistic that 25% of people have cheated is pretty accurate if I considered people I knew.

Your standards are equal to a woman wanting a loyal 6/6/6 within her age range, so as long as you’re that, I don’t think those standards are wild.

No worries. I’ve seen a lot of different studies ranging from 13-50%. Kind of hard because some measure current fidelity, others measure fidelity including previous relationships, and some measure within any relationship while others measure within marriage.

From the women I know, 1/5-1/4 have cheated and/or participated in sex work.

Trend data going back to the 1990s suggests that men have always been more likely than women to cheat. Even so, older men were no more likely to cheat than their younger peers in the past. In the 1990s, the infidelity rate peaked among men ages 50 to 59 (31%) and women ages 40 to 49 (18%). It was lower for both men and women at the older end of the age spectrum. Between 2000 and 2009, the highest rate of infidelity shifted to men ages 60 to 69 (29%) and women ages 50 to 59 (17%). Meanwhile, the gender gap at ages 80+ increased from 5% to 12% in two decades.

A generation or cohort effect is likely to contribute to this shifting gender gap in infidelity. As Nicholas Wolfinger noted in an earlier post, Americans born in the 1940s and 1950s reported the highest rates of extramarital sex, perhaps because they were the first generations to come of age during the sexual revolution. My analysis by gender suggests that men and women follow a slightly different age pattern when it comes to extramarital sex. Women born in the 1940s and 1950s are more likely than other women to be unfaithful to their spouse, and men born in the 1930s and 1940s have a higher rate than other age groups of men. The higher infidelity rates among these two cohorts contribute to the changing pattern in the gender gap as they grow older over time.

I’ve always felt loyalty was a hard trait to catch, and in a lot of ways, harder to find than someone who makes 6-figures.

Lawn mowing thoughts.

While cutting my grass this morning I came upon the following epiphany:

The situation in Afghanistan is exactly what the powers that be have always feared about the going your own way attitude that has been growing relentlessly across the West and is not present in pretty much the entire world. Essentially these men who "fled" from Taliban forces chose wisely to save their own lives rather than being mercilessly slaughtered for a cause that has betrayed them.

For those of you who aren't in the know, the U.S. abandoned these guys, they cut off all support, funding and provisions and then just expected the Afghani men to keep on fighting against impossible odds in the midst of a full US. withdrawal. Sound familiar? It should. Because it is the same reason men are going MGTOW in the West. In a game that is rigged against you the best course of action is to not play the game.

In practice, the act of laying down one's arms and peacefully walking away and thus saving one's life rather than getting killed for no reason is the core definition of what going your own way means.

It means you are done and finished with fighting in someone else's war, with fighting other people's battles while they throw you overboard and abandon you to your fate. There is no pride and no honor in dying for a cause that has betrayed you. Therefore, giving up the fight and retreating is not just the smarter thing to do it is also the most manly thing to do because it is men asserting their right to exist and to live! Rather than keel over and be slaughtered as someone else's disposable little soldier. The act of throwing down their weapons and walking away in the eve of battle was a very powerful way in which these men asserted to the rest of the world that their lives matter and sends the clear message that: "My life is important to me, I do not wish to die!"

Going your own way is in fact a very pacifist thing to do. It is the choice to walk away rather than fight for someone else's interests. It is the refusal to participate in a rigged game.

There is no "Manliness" in getting killed just to prove you're a man. That's the definition of a tool, of a disposable utility or a replaceable cog in the machine. It took balls to do what those men did; to think of their own best interest instead of just laying down their lives as they have been brainwashed to do. They chose to think for themselves rather than blindly follow orders and that is something that should be celebrated because it is a bold act of Freedom and Self Determination! There were no shots fired, no buildings bombed, and no mass graves on which to bury all the casualties.

These men want to go home to their own lived ones, to their families. They chose to live so as not to put the agony of their death on their own families and yet nobody is talking about that.

So when men face the choice of "get out of the way, or die" there is no shame in just getting out of the way.

It is the reason white knights are a dying breed in the West. When belligerent men feel like rampaging and unless they are a direct threat to one's interests the best course of action is to "get out of their way." Go your own way.

It is not my job to be a human shield in front of mass shooters or rampaging lunatics. I have a mother and a family that I want to go home to and I am under no obligation to lay my life down to protect an ungrateful and entitled demographic who already believes that my existence is a bane on theirs. This is what it means to go one's own way. To be smart and be free!

I'm trying to formulate how Emma fits into the pill-sphere.

Harriet Smith was over the moon because Robert Martin proposed to her, even though he was an unattractive farmer.

It wasn't until Emma got in her head and told her that she could do much better that she started second guessing herself and turned him down.

Then she starts going after Mr Elton, who ridicules her, then Mr Knightley who isn't interested in her.

In the end, Emma realizes that she was wrong and that Harriet would be the most happy married to Robert Martin instead of trying to shoot above her station.

There seem to be some stark parallels to today's dating world where social media is the new Emma telling all the women to not settle for their match and to aim above their station.

Eventually women will realize what their station is and marry appropriately.

The first screenshot I sent was from a reputable source and if you click the links on these they're all cited to sources. You linked me a study about stretching, but honestly I only am aware of the effectiveness of foam rolling, I just personally also benefit from stretching for flexibility.

Your study is very narrow. Preventing injury isn't the same as increasing range of movement. Range of movement is flexibility. Over time joint pain occurs because of lack of flexibility.

It's not junk science. The body is a mechanical thing, as well as biological, our muscles are pullies and levers. The BEST thing one can do is exercise, and then on top of that, activities to help increase range of motion and flexibility reduce pressures on the joints.

Edit: reread your study. Why do you think "preventing sports injury" is the reason one would stretch? Age related joint pain is primarily, imo, prevented by exercise, but foam rolling and stretching help with flexibility and range of movement, which is important too.

I'm aware, you should always focus on proper strength training first. Strength training increases range of movement. However stretching isn't completely useless, at least for me, I get soreness and DOMs and foam rolling and stretching help relieve those pains.

If you do not like to do it, then don't do it. But don't gaslight me. It can be negligible but it also can have some benefits. I personally benefit from it, so you can shove your opinion up your butt unless you can find me a study that says all these other studies that show benefits (however small) are wrong.

And remember. I never advocate for stretching or foam rolling in a vacuum. It's only with the context of regular strength training.

Really I thought lifting was bad for your joints? I tend to train my compounds in the 1-5 rep range and basically accepted that it would mess me up a bit when I'm older. (see Dorian Yates)

You are making shit up and not doing it well. it is very possible to be reactive to very specific stimuli and not to others because an immune "system" is not a collective defense like one big shield made of the same material, immune systems are characterized by different types types of responses at different times using different mechanisms mediated by the absence or presence of different proteins and genetic markers.

If immune systems were "lazy" or "reactive" they would all be reactive or lazy with he same stimuli which is not the case. Or be reactive or lazy at the same level of response.

I am very allergic to poison ivy and oak and become seriously ill but have no other drug allergies and did fine with the shot.

There is some evidence that people who have several serious drug allergies have more of a tendency to react to this vaccine.

How is this site anything other than a way to shame women for having any standards at all? The person creating the site also doesn’t realize who the woman taking it is either. The female version of this would show a similar distribution in rarity if you swapped height for cup size, waist size, or BMI.

I put 25-35, not married, not fat, any race, at least 5 feet tall, and makes at least $35k a year and got around 15% of the population. In some weird way, I guess it strokes this type of ego in that it tells them they’re top 20%.

Yeah, it would make more sense if they did it as a % of your age range rather than % of overall population. Most people don't consider those outside of their age demographics as options in the first place.

But there's a .7 rsquared between height and income

He did address that in the limitations section :

The final percentage is not far from reality but it's not entirely accurate because it doesn't take into account the correlations between income and height or weight. For example, there have been studies showing that taller people tend to be paid slightly more. So, by processing the two searches independently, the calculator might underestimate the number of tall high income individuals and overestimate the tall low income ones and so on. Still... I wouldn't expect the results to be way off, but keep it in mind and take the final number with a grain of salt.

I think it’s calculating based on North America, however it’s just poor statistics and math.

I plugged in 5’6 and up, 10 year age range, unmarried, not obese, Asian man who makes a minimum of 6 figures, and this app put it at 6% or less of the Asian male population and 0.43% of all men. That doesn’t really make sense to me as I’m sure the strongest filter was in income, yet Asian men have one of the highest household incomes in North America.
