On a spool-legged lamp table (which I snagged out of someone's trash), I put my mother's sepia-toned photo, taken when she was a teenager. My man called the picture creepy, insisting that she's staring at his junk when he gets out of the shower. I reminded him that my mom was only interested in a beta bucks capable of financing her lifestyle and wouldn't have given him the time of day! (Her own daddy was a "King of the Road" type, which probably inoculated her early against the charms of smooth-talking hobos.)

Recently one of the cats knocked the picture over, breaking the glass. Upon reframing it, I decided to put on the dresser instead, next to a high-school photo of my man that his mother gave me.

I'm waiting to see how long it will take him to notice. Heh!

I think they are being sold snake oil but when you think you did everything right and it doesn’t work out, an answer that tells you what you think has been wrong and that you can get immediate success doing something different is seductive.

We set up our outdoor projector screen, put some cushions and blankets down,, and had an outdoor movie night with the kids last night. We watched E.T. and both my boys were in tears towards the end.

We've been trying to do it at least twice a month, and we're going through old 80's and 90's movies. It was The Goonies last time. Neverending Story is next week.

The popularity of Tate, F&F, and all kind of RP content is the symptom, not the cause of the current situation. Banning Tate is just covering your eyes and pretending it didn't happen. There is a reason that this content gets an audience and it's just a matter of time before another guru pops out.
