The South and Midwest is full of traditional men even in the younger generation. A lot of my friends who grew up with me learned trades or do hands on type work and we're mainly under the age of 35. I myself learned a trade after finishing college.

Feminism at its core is fine. Women can get good jobs, get their own property, and not have to succumb to traditional values. I'm okay with that.

I dislike 21st century feminism because it spends more time demonizing men, blaming average men for problems that are out their control, and rarely holding women accountable for their problems. It errs too much into SJW/Woke territory for me with its constant divisive rhetoric and misandrist propaganda.

I prefer the pragmatic feminism of the 20th century that's devoid of the trash today. Also, modern feminists love to claim to support women but then they'll turn around and bash Republican women, SAHM's, pro-life women, and women who love men. Go figure. Lol

Problem is, men and boys are having a considerably harder time making it in the world. Wages have stagnated, both due to automation and outsourcing taking away a lot of traditional jobs. The 2008 crash was called the Man-cession because 80% of the jobs lost were male.

Do porn and video games cause it or do young men consume so much of it as a coping mechanism for their lack of success? The Red Pill has a certain appeal for lonely men and there's enough truth on the surface to where it's possible to overlook all the: "Women are entitled harpies who only want Chad!"

As for feminism, despite being one myself, I have an issue with the more militant elements. I'm a lot closer to Christina Hoff Sommers and Cathy Young than Jessica Valenti, for instance. I don't believe a majority of feminists hate men, but a lot of the influential ones have, at a minimum, serious issues with them. And I'm speaking about the leaders, not the idiots who rant on a blog to their five followers.

Simone de Beauvoir promised that widely allowing women access to abortion and encouraging childlessness will not cause demographic problems.

This is true; men are massively abandoning religion. Women have lost the right to complain about it when they claimed that religion is an instrument of patriarchal subjugation.

They don't make enough to support a family.

Men do make enough to support a family. But then it gets taken away by the state and redistributed in favor of women who don't have a family at the expense of men and women who do. Because this is what women voted for.

Last time I checked, men constituted half of people who grew up in a firearm-owning home, two-thirds of current firearm owners, something like 5 out of 6 of people who either visit a shooting range or airsoft trainings, and something like 11 out of 12 people committing legal homicides in self-defense. On top of that, men constitute something in the realm of 3/4 of martial arts trainers and something in the realm of 100% of front line combat veterans.

This is before we also mention that men massively outperform women both in firearm competitions and martial arts allowing for sparring between the sexes (such as FEMA).

So... when you say "men can't fight/use a weapon", you're comparing them to who? Medieval knights? - Look up how many surviving medieval plate armor sets can barely fit a 12-year-old boy today.

They have double standards, they espouse dated, traditionalist, ideas when it suits their agenda("it's worse for men to hit women", "sexual assault is overwhelmingly male on female", "men owe us commitment").
They advance policies that privilege women and girls (sex-based affirmative action, efforts to reduce criminal punishment specifically for women).
They use hostile and sexist rhetoric towards men and boys ("teach boys not to rape", holding men accountable for the actions of other men, generally attacking and criticizing men as a whole)
They expect us to automatically believe rape complainants over the accused, something that is unthinkable for any other crime.
They tend to be anti-science, because scientific research more often than not contradicts their beliefs. They deny the overwhelming evidence for sex differences in cognition. They deny the evidence for the incredible prevalence of female perpetrated sexual assault against men. They continue to peddle the belief that girls are discouraged from high-paying STEM careers by "the patriarchy" despite research showing that the most progressive countries have the lowest proportions of women pursuing STEM and the most traditionalist countries have the highest.

Technically a good majority of men are not keeping up with the times. Society has made the individual need of a man at a women's side kinda obsolete. I know how to use a weapon, firearms is my hobby. Also I know many women who are good at it, firearms is not a men's only club. I've been in fights. I make what would be enough to support a family at a lower to middle middle class currently level though I'm a single man.

Sure we can get lucky and get a women who likes “us for us” but at the end of the day, we got LUCKY, which means we’re more likely to put up with BS because the woman has the leverage. It's only true in the sense that on a personal level women tend to moderate their viewpoints to be more in line with someone they already have a relationship and have invested time in (and men do the same to a lesser extent).

Women as a group move towards what they perceive as their self interests (i.e. popular feminism) and idealized social values. Most women aren't interested in traditional men since their values are perceived as (or actually are) conflicting with "traditional" interests.

Despite all of the technology and automation you mention, as soon as the Ukraine war broke out, all men aged 18 to 60 were forced to stay and fight, it was illegal for them to leave and this was enforced, no one cared what the females did... they left their husbands and boyfriends as soon as possible without any loyalty....if the roles were reversed.. most men would stay to help their wives/sisters/girlfriends/mothers/etc...

Its not the feminism itself but any concept taken to radical dimmensions. Could be anything else: racism, trans people or whatever woke thing is trending right now.

Even if we can say this is true about most men, what about the fact that even men that can do all the things you say men are supposed to do have issues getting women to cooperate too? A lot of women in here say they run away from blue collar men. But blue collar men are the ones that are more likely to be able to do all those "manly" things.

Yeah, I think this all the time. It's not a surprise I'm so happy following the lead of a man who isn't like the stuff you said and can do the stuff you said most can't and who isn't obese or emasculated. He's an actual manly man. So I don't mind being a femaley female.

Previous boyfriends, why on earth would I have followed their lead. They could barely take care of themselves, let alone me, let alone make decisions. I was way more capable of that than them. But, I didn't want that. I was seeking an equal partner or an inverse partner. They couldn't be equal and they couldn't be a manly man. That's called a child. I don't need a child that's my age. No matter how much I fancy you and enjoy your company. I can find that elsewhere.
