Very simple noticing of mine, from everything I've read and all the arguments I've watched and the ages people often imply they are one of the biggest problems with this subreddit is that you basically have people still in their 20s and actually experiencing dating as it is for young people in the 2020s arguing against people on the cusp of old age arguing with them based on what they remember dating being like 10 to 20 years ago, and the latter group mostly promotes their argument by having the majority of the moderators being in this exact age group and willing to censor younger people essentially.

I think it goes without saying, if you graduated HS in the Bush Administration you genuinely don't know shit about dating in the current decade. I see so many people here that are very obviously in their late 30s and 40s arguing that online dating and anything that happens on the internet is fake and not "real life", they believe this because when they were young decades ago that held true, they didn't grow up in the generation where social media was just a fact of life, they can't wrap their heads around the fact that 40% of couples meet online "But that is not much majority!" it isn't, but it is the plurality, it alone dwarfs every other way to meet people individually, nearly 1/2 couples meet on the internet and the remainder is every other hypothetical way of meeting people combined.

Another thing I notice is that a lot of these older people seen to think youth culture is still stuck in the Bush administration, goddamn they often talk like it's still 2004 or something; I truly think the most under-discussed but highly relevant topic here is the massive generational gap.
