This is actually true ɓut women underestimate just how many men find women hot. In my opinion 60 percent pf women would fit the 6/10 criteria. Maybe 30 percent of men do for women. 80 percent of women sucessfully reproduced, only 40 percent of men did.

best part is you don’t even have to be unattractive to not fall into that mold - i’ve met quite a few attractive women who pretty much either live normal lives or are just getting by, sure they might be getting a lot of men paying attention to them, but they aren’t living these cartoonishly lavish lives that these models get - frankly what we’re looking at here is a lot of hyper depressive out of touch men looking to be seen as victims

I think Lena Dunham and and Seth Rogen are a pretty good example of average. People like them share seat with us in public transit, visit the same restaurants we eat at and stand in front of us at the supermarket line and we go home without noticing them. Neither of them is either pretty enough of ugly enough to be remembered and this type is the majority.

The so-called Beckies are already in the top 20% whereas Stacies almost exclusively exist on Instagram and movie theaters after a good makeup session and possibly surgery.

Very true. Conventionally unattractive women get ignored by the vast majority of people irl. Getting niche attention online is not comparable to the general validation that those with “pretty privilege” get. I’m probably considered a 4 where I live, and people have been outright hostile toward me for just looking a little different. The highest I’ve ever been rated is a 6, which was by an ex and likely to just not hurt my feelings. Like a female friend ditching me while we were out so she could go to a different bar without me, being pushed and shoved while out, etc. No one has ever bought me a drink, which is fine since I only need 1-2 anyway, but the way other women talk about this happening every time they go out is so foreign to me. Many guys I’ve been with have said they grew more attracted to me over time, which is valid, but knowing I was just acceptable to them at first doesn’t feel great.

Honestly most the men here I’ve noticed have a victim mentality and feel entitled. I empathize to a point because I don’t think it is easy. But life isn’t easy. Being a man isn’t easy neither is being a woman. Instead you’re going to whine about women and build resentment to them and immerse yourself in videos about women who just perpetuate your resentment.

I would agree if you lowered the bar down to 3/10. Basically, just don't be obese and you're guaranteed sexual/relationship success as a woman. Even if you are obese, your success is still pretty likely. Dudes are thirsty, usually with few options, the supply and demand of the market is always working in your favor. Sure, the 28 BMI 30-year-old woman with a kid won't get the same attention as her hot 21-year-old competitors, but she'll still always have tons of options.

Thank you! As a teen, I was basically verbally bullied by nearly every guy I came in contact with (or noticed the bullying, because even guys I didn't actually know would join in). It was the reason I eventually dropped out. There was a handful of the really popular boys and some of my guy friends (mostly were gay) who didn't make fun of me, tho. With all that I'm surprised I even looked for a boyfriend at all, then, but I was obsessed with romance. I did eventually marry. It hasn't been perfect. I haven't been perfect, either, but I love my husband.

Average-looking women and even below average have options for a relationship. However, I feel like they can't distinguish between a sexual interest and someone looking for a relationship.

This can be a problem since it can lead them to think they can get a commitment with a man way higher than them in terms of attractiveness.

Every source that has ever looked at this question has concluded that men find most women attractive, but that women don't find most men attractive. Here's one example. If you find a source that shows something different, then please post it. If you don't have such a source, then this one stands and "that's just online dating" doesn't count as a rebuttal.

To put this another way, when men talk about "conventionally attractive women" they are talking about most women.

But when women talk about "conventionally attractive men" they are talking about 10% of men.

I’m a little above average height, lanky but still athletic. I’m well put together, fashionable, I work hard and I just have a strong preference for hygienic , not overweight, not narcissistic and of course, sexually available is what equals attractive for me. My standards are LOW and still no luck.

63% of men aren't in relationships, and 34% of women aren't. taking these simple statistics in mind there's no weighing around wether or not its easy for women to secure a relationship regardless of attractiveness, them getting lied to and used for sex is fear mongering or used as a barebones debate tactic, studies clearly show that young women across most classes of attraction, by their own admission have no problem getting a relationship in comparison to men, and taking into account the gap between men and women that counts for "ugly" ones as well. not to mention 30% of that 34 are alone willingly. regardless arguing semantics from anecdotes of people say on this sub is beyond retarded, try using stats to back up your "ugly women are invisible" argument, which statistically is not true in the slightest.
