To follow the videogame analogy it is when they are starting the game with some/most stats already at a high level or with certain buffs/passive abilities enabled that the average player does not have. For example if you are born to a wealthy family, are naturally intelligent or physically attractive you are starting out with higher stats/perks than most other players and these perks benefit you early on and the benefits compound throughout your life.

It doesn't necessarily mean you can't struggle at all or that you are immune to sadness but simply that you have more opportunities and if you do find yourself in an unfortunate situation you will likely be better off and have more ways out than a person who didn't have your stats.

My sister and I are an example. We grew up relatively poor (for our area) with a single mom that worked 60 hours a week as a night shift (more like double shift) nurse. My sister feels like she has had the hardest road you can imagine. If you hear her tell it, you would be amazed at the strength and fortitude she has to be where she is. She has a goos life. She has a masters degree, is married with two kids and runs a department for a university. Their household is in the top 5% of income earners in the US and probably top 1% worldwide.

You hear me talk about my life and I use facts and not feelings. We were both healthy, white, tall, attractive, intelligent (by IQ tests), and raised in the SF Bay Area amongst immense wealth and really smart people. Our family and relatives were healthy and self sufficient. While we were technically “poor”, we were exposed to friends and even family members that gave us every edge and opportunity a person could ask for. We both graduated from college with zero debt and have masters degrees with minimal debt. While I am very successful by any standard measure I am just slightly above average for the peer group I grew up with. They are all business owners, C level executives, professors, doctors, attorneys, high ranking military leaders, etc. We all have worked really hard but we were still playing the game on easy mode. We had all the tools and connections from the start. It wasn’t uNtil I moved away and was playing sports for a college in the south that I learned the differences in life and opportunity. I had teammates from Memphis or NO or Atlanta that had never had their own bed until they got to college. They shared a room with several siblings. They are one meal a day. Their high schools were no accredited or rated as a 2 or less. They were entirely unprepared for college through no fault of their own. Their parents were in jail, dead or sick. We had one guys father living with us for 5 months because he was homeless. He had to get dialysis several days per week and we took turns taking him. We had younger siblings living in the sports dorms for months at a time because nobody else could watch them.

You don’t know how hard and chaotic life is for people “not on easy mode” until you see it up close for a long period of time. People on easy mode don’t even know it. A beautiful white girl for an upper class family can’t even fathom how life works for an obese, unattractive minority girl with no family at all... and vice versa. “Pretty girl perks” is nothing compared to real life connections mean everything and you are not in a position to have connections.

It's a dumb term. Life sucks for a lot of people.

Women don't have easy mode. Many women are ugly and fat. 71% of men and 69% of women are fat or obese. Disgusting. 36% men and 39% of women have Bachelors degrees.

"Easy mode" implies the top comment - that a 6.5 girl can get everything handed to her on a silver platter. It's not true. A 6.5 is literally 26 or 27 BMI (as average 50% is 29 BMI: 25 BMI/not overweight is 70th percentile or 7.0). A frumpy chubby girl is not handed everything.

That top comment is discussing the high performing beautiful women at MOST. the 10/10 model. The PHD student who also is a brown belt in BJJ and models in her spare time. But you know what? Her male equivalent has similar "easy mode." The amount of niceness increase towards me when i lost weight was staggering. I went from being laughed at and ignored to getting attention from women and respect from men. Were i very, very attractive in the face instead of decently so, I would be sure this would be even increased.

Easy mode is a description of those who won the genetic lottery and are intelligent, attractive, tall, buff, etc.

It's not gendered, the average fat not intelligent human with a HS diploma and $30k job is pretty much ignored regardless of gender

On these kind of subs it’s referred to as women get stuff handed to them for the most part and their lives are relatively easy, and if for some reason it isn’t immediately handed to them all they have to do is put in a minimum amount of effort to get and maintain. Whether it’s jobs, social situations, relationships, casual sex, even committing a crime, it’s all easy for women and they get this almost by default and almost 90% of it is because they have a vagina.

A less common definition is in regards to Chad, but this is usually just relegated to getting attention from women, getting casual sex, or social situations. It usually means envy plain and simple, and a lack of knowledge in genetics, biological differences between groups, and ultimately a misunderstanding or lack of morality. People using the term is a red flag, even in cases where men are using it on women. Not that they're necessarily wrong that there's an inappropriate bias in many ways for women, but the spirit in which they use it, the scope, and how they think things should be. It's something to devalue the other person, manipulate them. Watch out.

There is no such thing as living life on easy mode tbh. The closest you could get to it is being super rich but even then I'm sure that comes with its own share of unique issues and you still aren't immune from mental health struggles and stuff like that.

However life may be easier for certain groups in certain areas. And it also depends what you want out of life. For example, it's way easier to obtain sex and dates as a woman than it is as a man. It's also much easier to avoid homelessness as a woman and get by in life.

However if you are looking to succeed in life and be a very accomplished person it is much easier to be a man. Men are taken more seriously than women are in most situations unfortunately and are often considered more for positions of power.

So whether or not someone lives on "easy mode" depends on what area of life we are talking about.

In games, the easy mode is the mode where the enemies do less damage, you have more health, more lives and other things that help you win. You still have to put SOME effort to win but you almost have to try in order to lose and it doesn't compare to other difficulties.

Women's lives are exactly that. Everything is easier for them to get, it's much harder for them to fail and even if they do the price isn't that steep. They have it easier in dating and can get relationships and sex much easier than their male counterparts. They can find employment more easily by leveraging their looks and sexuality (not talking just about sex work) even if they lack the credentials. People are nicer, friendlier and more forgiving to them. Society caters to their needs etc. Does that mean that they don't have to put ANY effort or that they can't fail? No. But it does mean they have it much easier than men and have to almost try in order to fail.

I can't think of any aspect of life where women have it harder than men.

Since the advantages on societal level are more or less said i have my own experiences especially during study and entering the workforce.

Studying bachelor my grades ranked from 1.0 - 1.7 with a occasional 2.0 (A - B+ and B in america). I worked and learned with many girls since they were asking me to explain them and learn with me for the exams. God damn they were so (excuse me) dumb and couldn't understand simple connections i helped them because it was also a kind of learning for me which saved me time to learn at home. As the same goes for our many presentations that they couldn't speak openly and fluently to the class and their presentations where also subpar. And yet they got grades on my level and i know how some professors wanted to give me a bad grade because he didn't like my optic design although it didn't reduced functionality or from one of my male peers he pronounced a word wrong and got a B instead of B+ while from the girls usually some cute details god praised to the air (cute but nothing that can save you one grade) and the same obvious mistakes got ignored. And their grades were on par with mine. I could observe this for 14 different girls around 3.5 years of study. I did call it out once that it was unfair and immediately got the outcast misogynist stigma and only some few even bothered with me after.

The same was when we were looking for jobs. We had courses for job interviews, CV and your applying itself to join if we wanted. I got several times assured that my interviews were great with next to no mistakes and my CV was also really good while some of my female peers really were nervous all the time alwas stuttered for some seconds etc. I also helped them with the CV etc. Yet i applied to almost 100 jobs (300 throughout my life) to find anything in my field while they got it with 3 trys max. not a coincidence since we applied in the same region and even crossed the same companies.

The proof then came in my masterdegree. While presentations and applying for jobs and interships was the same biased bullshit, the exams were written on computers and anonymus. Needless to say that half of the girls had average grades worse than 3.0 (C in the american system) only in the anonymus written exams while in the presentations they usually were better.

So when some feministbullshit garbage cries that women are systematically disadvantaged then it's only in the upper echelons of the hirarchy which only few people reach in the first place and is one fucking small aspect from the whole thing. Call it anecdotical evidence all you want if it was any fair i would finish my academic degree at least 1.5 years earlier (or if i would be female) don't know how it's in STEM but i heard that austria let women pass their entrance exam into the med university with worse grade than men because it was to hard for them.

So, what's easy mode, specifically when talking about how women live on it?

It's being used to your partner covering a disproportionate (compared to income) share of living expenses, from rent and utilities to groceries, transportation, emergencies, and whatever else it may be, so you get to keep more of your money. Nobody really knows why it's so often like that, but men know that their partner will react very negatively to any talk of equal and actually fair contributions.

It's being used to getting 'taken on' holidays, with your partner paying for either most or all of the big stuff, even if you're not making substantially less money. It's being used to paying disproportionately less often than him in restaurants or bars. Because you want to, and deserve to, be treated well, am I right?

It's being used to your partner splurging insane amounts of money on whatever inane material shit makes you feel appreciated - over-priced flowers every week or more often, jewelry, clothes, a new phone... while you don't feel obligated to spend on him at all, and if so, then at most a tiny percentage of what you expect him to spend on you.

It's being used to your partner just taking care of things. You're a modern, strong, feminist woman, but you still want him to carry all the heavy bags while opening the doors so you can waltz in with your 0.5lb Gucci handbag swinging on your arm.

It's being used to your partner doing all the 'dirty' work around the house - building stuff, fixing stuff, doing anything that requires physical effort, because those are 'guy' things... while also expecting him to do the originally 'girl' things like easier chores, washing dishes, cooking etc. as much as you, because iT's 2020 aNd wE hAvE mUh EqUaLiTy!!!1!11!!

It's being used to the fact that wherever you are, it's your partner who has to get into conflict to protect you. Someone looks at you the wrong way, cat calls you, or touches you? The guy is expected to put his neck out for you and risk getting into potentially dangerous situations, while nothing like that is expected of you if the situation is reversed. Even if you start shit with someone else, the moment it gets physical, you'll be expecting protection. This is understandable because of physical differences, but let's not pretend women using their partners as bodyguards isn't easy mode.

It's being used to being essentially a protected class of person with privileges - just walk up to a guy on the street, start smacking him, and watch how many white knights fly to your defense and kick the shit out of him screeching 'WHY YOU HIT HER BRO THAT'S NOT OKAY BRO' if he even tries to defend himself.

It's being used to using your femininity to get things, sometimes without even realizing it because you think it's just normal behavior.

It's being used to the kid glove treatment EVERYONE gives you. If you think your boss is a dick to you, you have no idea how much worse they are to their male subordinates - trust me, they're going easy on you. If you think someone was rude to you, you have no idea that you're just exaggerating and they're immensely more rude to men. Because despite all the talk of female strength and equality with men, everyone still feels like the way men are treated is not the way to treat women. 'That's not how you talk to girls' is still something boys are taught today - meaning 'don't talk to girls the same way you talk to guys, because girls can't handle it'. And that's not even about guys being massive dicks to each other, it's just women throw fits if you treat them as honestly and openly as you treat other men.

It's even systematic stuff. Nobody gives a shit about men's mental health, male rape victims are routinely not taken seriously or told that they must have liked it, domestically abused men are scarcely believed, and so on. Women are believed so much that false rape accusations are a way for them of getting revenge on exes or bad ONS. A single accusation of rape or abuse can ruin a man's future even though he's innocent, and women know how to weaponize it. Women's support infrastructures are funded through the roof, while something like 'men's shelters' barely exist (remember when one got attacked and had to close because 'fuck men'?).

It's the fact that so many women feel entitled to all of this and support each other in that entitlement.

It's the fact that so many women would look at everything I mentioned, and think there's nothing wrong with any of it, because they're so used to being cushy and living on easy mode, that they don't even realize the difference between their experience and the male experience.

Shit, does nobody remember when Norah Vincent lived as a man for a year and a half, found out how much harder men have it, and said "I really like being a woman. ... I like it more now because I think it's more of a privilege."?

The issue is that this will always be the case. Men allow it to be the case, because they desire partnerships, and their biological imperative to reproduce is stronger than the dislike for how this system is set up. Men will always tolerate women living on easy mode, not having to sacrifice as much, and being treated with kid gloves. Men will even tolerate being in the worse position and then getting bitched at for some inane bullshit by their girlfriend who then turns around and expects to have the moon handed to her. They will tolerate it, because that's nature.

It doesn’t mean there’s no difficulty, it means you begin with a lot going for you that will make difficulty easier to weather or cope with. It’s like starting with a handicap.

If you’re a relatively good looking, able bodied, white man born to a financially stable family, youre going to have an easier time in life than someone who doesn’t check any or all of those boxes. Doesn’t mean bad things can’t happen to you, it means when they do, they’ll still be easier than if you weren’t all those things facing the same challenges.

Good genetics (not just in terms of attractiveness but not having any genetic predisposition to medical conditions like heart disease or cancer)
Wealth

If you at least one those, you can breeze by with some challenge but ease, if you have both your time on Earth will be a breeze compared to others. Yes, everyone goes through something bad at some point but it’s much easier for the above mentioned person to cope than the average Joe.

I'll give you one example from the wikipedia article of Clint Eastwood

If you're a decently put together woman or a very handsome man you both have a higher ceiling of attainment (i.e. you could become a world famous star, something not afforded to average people), and also you have a higher floor of failure, ie no matter how bad your life gets there will always be someone to bail you out, just look at Jeremy Meeks' story.

- More employment opportunities even if you do not possess certain skills

- Less punishment (goes for women in general when it comes to prison time)

- Greater legal safety nets, even for behavior men get arrested for (i.e. not being able to pay child support)

- Better social treatment in everyday life

Men have "easy mode" situations, they don't live life on easy mode, and some of the things they *occasionally* get are better social treatment, deemed to be more competent than they really are (but still have to be competent to a degree), able to get away with a certain level of misbehavior.

First off, I don’t believe any group of people truly lives life on easy mode. Everyone has problems. Life is hard. But there are certain advantages that make life much easier, and it’s not being born female.

Number one would be having wealthy parents. This is going to afford the most opportunities, though they can of course be squandered or the parents can be dicks. Nothing is a guarantee.

Second is appearance. Male or female, pretty people have great advantages. The halo effect will even help more attractive people get jobs that have nothing to do with one’s appearance. I’d argue that attractive men actually have more privilege than attractive women because they don’t have issues being taken seriously.
