I've been mulling something over.

I have a friend who graduated college, couldn't land the job they wanted, and stumbled through a bunch of dead end gigs while self teaching to qualify for their dream job. But once they got it, it was too similar to the college environment that was several years gone and they were a totally different person, and also the amount of work they put in wasn't really worth the pay they were getting out of it.

I think this is what turns a lot of incel types off later in life. The equivalent would be, I think, building yourself up for a bunch of years and then landing a relationship, and then that relationship not turning out that great and not really being worth all the building up you had to do to get it, because by that point you're not a naive youth so much as a jaded adult.

To be clear, my friend is fully qualified and could easily keep this whole career up if they chose to. They're voluntarily leaving. The equivalent, if my theory is right, is someone who voluntarily goes back to being single.

I’ve seen families were the son or sons were handsome but the daughters were ehh, and families were the daughters were pretty but the boys were ugly all with the same mom/dad. It’s like the good looks landed on one gender but passed over the other. I think my family is like that. The 4 of us(2 boys and 2 girls) are all tall like our dad but that’s where it ends. Me and my older brother are about average in the face( I would say my brother is above average slightly) but our sisters are pretty. So it's a Friday night and central London was full of 18-24 year olds. I was waiting on the platform waiting for a train with mt friend and there was a guy and girl making out in front of us.

I love the voting system on reddit, particularly downvoting. Not because I think it actually improves the community, if anything it just reinforces the site's echo-chambers, minimizing the number of dissenting opinions users have to encounter, but because it's funny that people think it's something significant. An upvote is worth roughly a thumbs-up from a random person, and inversely similarly for a downvote, which makes downvoting an utterly pointless, completely passive-aggressive action, especially when it's used in lieu of a response; it's just so petty and I can't help but love it for it.

Do people ever actually believe those videos where it's like, a montage of some dude going around interviewing people to ask them opinion questions? It's one thing if it's unbiased but usually it's very obviously a question designed because the creator wants to prove a point.
