Okay, this graph/source doesn't even measure what you're trying to argue, and if anything the trend is showing slight increase/plateauing. This link is absolutely irrelevant, because fertility rates have been going down substantially for decades, but especially since 2008. So essentially, even if the the average amount of children a single mother has goes down does not mean there are less single mothers — you could actually have more single mothers it's just that the average number of kids they all have are lower than single mothers in the past.

It means we saw a 24% increase in obesity in roughly a decade time — and this is 5-6 year old data, as I mentioned earlier — it's likely much worse even now. Nobody who understands or works with statistics would think this means 'obesity only increased a little'.

This is particularly so, when you account for things like obesity and severe obesity increasing substantially in children over the past two decades (something that isn't measured in the stats I cited above as it only looked at 20 and above).

This also undermines the fact that a lot of obesity is underrepresented/underreported, because it's solely based on BMI — not other biometric data. In fact, if it did, obesity numbers would likely get even worse — especially for women.

Because you don't seem to understand very simple logic and math, I'll break it down for you:

IF we have a population of 10 women, let's say in year 0, there were 3 that were single mothers.

In year 0, the 3 single mothers had an average of 3 kids each.

In year 20, there were five single mothers — the five single mothers had an average of 2 kids.

In this case, we see the number of children single mothers had drop, but the number of single mothers as a part of a population share INCREASED.

The fact that this actually has to be explained to people who try to use statistics of which they don't understand what is actually being measured in said statistics really makes you realize how much of the arguments here are really just appeals to emotion, particularly shame/guilt, and a sort of informal fallacy in which one thinks just because something behaved a certain way in the past — it necessarily must behave this way in the present or future.
