Without giving vague and unhelpful answers like, “misogyny and toxic masculinity”, why is it when men say, “you’re choosing assholes”, it seems like it goes in one ear and right out the other?

When we say the words, “responsibility and accountability”, does some cable TV movie expletive “beep” play in women’s heads and they simply don’t hear the word? They never argue anything about it - they either don’t acknowledge it as a talking point or change the topic.

When we talk about how a key aspect of the male experience is that nobody is looking out for your well-being anymore, and that taking ownership for the course that one’s life takes is something you have to learn and internalize for yourself...either they don’t comprehend what we’re talking about, or they do and they just don’t care...

So which is it? How are you interpreting what we’re saying?

I know women are not stupid, but whole swaths of men, myself included, are completely perplexed by this when the topic comes up. Red pill would say that it’s due to female solipsism, but I want to hear a woman’s take.

EDIT: everyone's fixated on what an "asshole" is. I'm not talking about what guys think an asshole is. Im using that as an example for when girls often say they "attract assholes" and we say "you attract everyone, you choose assholes" I'm focusing on the concept of responsibility and accountability for ones actions. Despite already pointing this out, women still seem to be avoiding the topic...

EDIT 2: this is NOT a “you should pick a nice guy like me post”

EDIT 3: evidently many still don’t want to address the question because I didn’t ask nicely enough.

EDIT 4: much of this post was directed at the women of PPD. Not just the women in my real life
