I care more about body count than age tho. So for example 30 yo with body count of 1 would be more appealing to me than 21 yo with body count of 10.

Like age is only attractive to the extent it correlates with low body count and good looks. If the older person took care of their skin and physique and didn't sleep around there's nothing wrong with 30+ but usually those things will correlate with age

So as of this moment, aside from the few posters who are admitting they would date children under 14 if they could (what?!) most people whose ages they have shared are noting they will date with within a few years of their age, most within 5, which is comparable to the average in the US (most people date within five years of their age).

Also, for many of these responses, we see that many are interested in (or at least open to) dating people in a range above 30, so not a lot of posters here seem to subscribe too much to the idea of a 'wall'/cutoff at age 30 even if they are younger than 30 or older than 30.

29--i'd probably date anywhere from 24 thru 31 realistically. If someone came along I really connected with I'd date older, but I'm not seeking older out intentionally. I want kids someday so the number is always going to skew younger.

At 35 I could see it being anyone 25-32ish, 40 it would probably be late 20s to mid 30s. If I'm still looking past 40 I'll give up, lol.

I think if I date again I'm not going to really be all that focused on age, more if the expectations and anger of their past is brought into my life, how they handle having shitty people in their life, what are and how do they deal with stressors, and if they have mental issues how much of their worst will they expect me to deal with while remaining completely serene and patient.

I suppose I should give a range though, probably something like 22-34y/o. And I just wrote all this and saw the preface about being an RP man, nice. 😐

What that rule amounts to is I will date girls born in 1990-1999, and every two years I increase the last number by one. For reference, all of my exes were 1-3 years older then me, and it just doesn't work.

I dated a 7 years younger girl when I was 32 and while that's not a big gap, the differences and incompatibilities were noticeable for me. That will definitely change as I get older, but it's hard to say exactly how. If I were to answer that question with my 22 year old brain, I would say my range will always be 18-my age. But if god forbid I'm still single at 40, I might not be attracted to women my own age and still prefer women at the lower end of that range.

That said, I might develop a taste for older women as I age. And I constantly hear older men say they wouldn't date 18 year olds because they're too immature, so maybe I'll end up feeling that way too. I highly doubt I would ever be willing to date a woman significantly older than me though, no matter how much my mentality changes as I age.

Sounds kind of official to seriously date someone, I mostly do it for the jokes. So 33, no real age limits, just have to be fun and hot.

No, as i've been creeping into my 30s I went lower - currenty dating a 19 y/0, previously a 22 y/0 - because I don't have the energy to play around and excite another tired millenial at the end of the day. Working 20 something people live only at night and in the weekend. 30 somethings don't even do night stuff anymore unless it's a swingers thing or a organized event or they can afford to take 1-2 weeks off every quarter and just go full monty for 3-5 days and then recover.

THat's not the lifestyle of a serious 30 something or a life that would excite a 20 something girl that needs to feel like she lives every day after 6 PM otherwise she realizes she is an adult now.

Younger girls, are fine with it. They just really like the company and having someone around. If that person is a man with a beard even more so. You feel like a hot woman. Just existing and being around that girl is enough to keep her giggly. It's like a vacation everytime you open the door.

Why are you guys willing to date post wall women 30+? This feels a little….contradictory.

As someone that got most of my experience in my 20s from older women - it's because they are easy, they have no issue flirting or being feminine with a younger guy and they can tell you what you're doing wrong, and then go right back to swooning - something very few women your age or younger are willing to do. If you ruin the mood with a young chick, she is out. She feels pressured even if you try to bring it back.

Always follow the equation. It's gender neutral but usually men are older. Your minimum is no younger than half your age +7.

Older person (usually the man) = X Younger (usually woman) = Y

I'm 36. Whatever is legal; that they're a mature individual with good character and high intelligence. Age doesn't appear to be directly tied to those points (other than "legal," that's definitely tied to it.)

However, generally speaking, under mid-twenties tends to be a non-starter. The developmental differences are very apparent and I prefer someone on my level over some wide-eyed "yute" who can't relate to my chapter in life. At the same time, I've not had pleasant experiences with women much over early thirties. The ones I have had good experiences with are really past an age where I'd prefer to cut-off trying for children, which would be 38 for me. (I nearly married a woman 7 years my senior while I was 26. I've nothing to prove here.) I kind of want more than one kid, and so that pushes the maximum age down if you're going to space them out; that boils it back to 32-33 as a maximum of where I'm interested.

Where I'm moving, marriage is a bigger cultural priority. The realistic pool will probably be in their 20s after university. (I've been in talks of marriage with as young 19 while I was 32 and fatter there. I bailed the second the crazy and immature came out. It was flattering that she made the first move, and I thought highly of her before this happened, but it wasn't worth wrecking my life over.)

If there's truly exceptional chemistry, looks, maturity, and/or character involved, yeah, those numbers will sway more. Whose wouldn't?

Been with girls as young as 19 at my age. Haven’t met a seriously mature / compatible one — the thought is nice but most are usually in a different stage in their lives.

Also been with significantly older, 5-7 years. My last LTR was in this range. Great maturity, poise — well-adjusted, attractive women usually hit their stride around 26-29. It can get testy looks-wise depending on genes after that.

I’d have to go younger because I want a big family, so mainly a time issue. Also the reason I won’t be dating older women for the next bit. Could dream of a mature 20 y.o., but haven’t experienced it yet. For that reason I’m looking 22-25.
