One of the defining characteristics of the age we live in is the drive to monetize everything that has any value. And there's probably nothing in the world more universally valued and coveted than romantic companionship (and sex). I see it thus as an inevitability that a sizable % of dating interactions will involve one party directly transferring $ to the other for their time. Whatever stigma that is associated will easily be overcome if people realize it's simply a more efficient way to date - similar to what happened to the stigma associated with OLD.
