Men and women have different problems. One aspect could be slightly easier, while another could be dramatically harder. One thing I commonly hear from women is the ability to be left alone. As a man, being invisible and unnoticed is the default for most.

if your choice is between being a handsome and tall man born into a wealthy, loving family or a disfigured woman with addicts for parents who grows up in abject poverty being bounced around foster homes, are you still choosing to be a woman?

Especially when it comes to sex and relationships, you don't really want to be born a woman, you want to be born a man in a womans body. That's not the same thing. Without the sex drive and the lust you have as a man, plus the downsides of womens reproductive system and the fact that you're physically weaker than virtually all men, your interest in all those great options might come close to the interest real women express.

So, the specific claim you are making is about ease -- which I am going to consider to be the ability to expend minimal or no effort and receive acceptable or positive outcomes.

However, I noticed that for most of the examples you point out, you are comparing outcomes without any real evaluation of the effort expended.

School/uni -- is it your observation that women obtain success here (good grades, good placements, admission to competitive programs, degrees) with low effort, or dramatically less effort than their male colleagues?

Corporate hiring -- is it your observation that women are hired with fewer credentials, noticeably fewer applications or interviews, that they are more often hired into higher roles, or receive a higher rate of pay? Are they promoted faster and given raises more readily? Do they receive the most interesting, challenging, and high-profile clients or projects? And is all of this happening with noticeably less effort, or very little effort, compared to their male colleagues?

Edit -- hit enter too soon, but to summarize -- this post irritates people because it dramatically downplays the significant effort women put into achieving the outcomes they have. Most women's experience of the world is not having everything handed to them on a gilded platter because they happened to have breasts, and is so far from that that the entire concept is aggravating.

The average woman has it easier than the average man. This only deviates in the top 10% of man who have it much easier than women. Because these men are often very visible to women it creates a false notion that women have it harder because they don’t even think about the bottom 90% unless directly in front of them.

Beyond that why do so many of you morons not understand what privilege means? You may still have issues but your gender is not one.

No women are not more forgiven, they also get policed so much earlier that they tend to make changes faster. Corporations dont want women they are forced to accept them.

When ever I see these posts it is clear its being done from a place of extreme privilege with zero effort to learn anything that threatens you world view and sense of victimhood.

Your impression of women's lives seems to be a fantasy of being a hot young charismatic woman with wealthy parents. If you have an actual argument, you should be able to complain actual norms. Most men aren't in dangerous jobs, aren't criminals or homeless.

There are lots of homeless women by the way, but you don't see them as much as it's not safe for them to be so public, if they don't hide they will get raped.

I've seen plenty of homeless women here in the UK.

You also seem to be ignoring things like class, sexualty and race. And seem to be basing your opinion on assuming you'd be at least a middle class White heterosexual woman in the West.

Dating and relationships are another big one. Men are still expected to provide, to lead, to have their life together. Women don’t have that same pressure. They have way more choice, and realistically, more safety nets. If things go wrong, they’re not starting from zero in the same way a man often is.

Don’t tell that women is less safe. Men are also attacked on streets and this argument that a woman is small and vulnerable does not hold in the current system.

Women and girls are more likely to be victims of sexual assault.

Men are more likely to be victims of assault (depends on how the law is defined where you live) that can range from a single punch in the face, to getting put in hospital.

The majority of men who get assaulted aren't getting put in hospital. I'm not saying violence is OK, but that's a very different psychological experience than being sexually assaulted.

This isn't only untrue, it's ridiculously untrue, and there's an extensive literature about it, of which I'll give you just a sample.

Both men and women favor CVs with male names instead of female ones in Science.

There is similar literature showing bias against minorities (particularly black people, it depends on what minorities and what kind of job).

When you see companies stating that they welcome women and minorities, this is partly just a pro forma thing, a way of saying "hey, we aren't biased (even if our hiring and promotion record show otherwise)". Some of the time it's a sincere effort to improve diversity - driven in part by the widespread findings that more diverse times are both more effective and more productive. (I'm not going to go into that here, this is already long.) And at least during the first year of the second Trump administration, there was a great decrease in efforts to recruit more diverse candidates to higher paid positions.

We can argue this but we have to deal with what women have to do that is hard and what men do to make our lives harder.

Near 30% of men who should be paying child support do not. Nearly 60% do not pay the full amount they owe. It is the children who suffer but it is the mothers that have to try to make up the difference.

Yes, men are threatened by violence too but what gender is more likely to be at the other end of a gun or is violent? More men are mass murderers or serial killers. There are incel murderers who aim just at women. Some men are physically able to defend themselves when they are attacked. Annually in the US, more than 1 million women will require medical care for intimate partner violence.

Do men have issues, yes, of course they do, but so do women. If you think childbirth and raising children is easy, you need a wake up call. Have you any idea how stressful it is to care for a newborn right after giving birth and how many guys check out rather than help? That being said, let me say I appreciate every father that does not.

Are women treated gentler on the job? Some might be and some are not. It is too bad you were not around in the 80s. I saw men maliciously get a manager fired because she was a woman. Yes, it still happens today, but some do take it to court so the fear of a court case just makes them sneakier. More than 23% of women report being treated that they are not competent if they are women in the US. In addition, there is the motherhood penalty on the job and the fact that women are paid less.

How many men would have a child if it meant they would not have a job?

You think women do not have the pressure to provide and lead? Yet who abandons us if we get sick? 21% of men leave their wives if they get MS, cancer or another serious illness. Only 3% of men get abandoned.

You need to look harder at how life is really. The current trend is many men are complaining about women, but how about gaining some insight by seeing how it really is. Very few people have it easy these days. Life is just hard.

There is a different perspective to the side you’re talking about. I would argue women today have it even worse than their grandparents.

Just because the minority are living the privileged life, doesn’t mean this is what most women wanted. It was forced upon them coupled with the cost of living and declining social cohesion.

I honestly wish that anyone who says this actually *could* experience what it’s like to live as a girl/woman starting at birth. I wish you all could experience having to protect yourself and your younger siblings from creepy uncles before hitting puberty. I wish you could experience having gross sexual comments made about your body by grown ass men before getting out of middle school. I wish you could experience unsolicited comments like “Should you really be eating that? You don’t want to get fat or you’ll never find a husband.” When you’re still in mother fucking elementary school. I really wish you could know what that’s like, and how it affects you psychologically well into adulthood.

Oh by the way, I have been homeless before. I just did my best to not appear homeless because that was required for me to not become any more of a target than I already was. I spend most of my time in the library or the airport or other places that were staffed and well lit. One of the women I currently work with has an IQ of about 50. She spent years of her life homeless. She gave birth to four children who were all taken away from her before adult protective services got involved on her behalf.
