Here’s another good video by QOVES studio where he breaks down a study on males having “Soft attractive” thresholds while women have “Hard attractive” thresholds. In the study, men were willing to have LTR with women who were deemed “less attractive” if they had positive attributes (hard worker, can cook, etc) while the same positive attributes did not affect the women’s decision on a LTR at all for the “less attractive” guys. Pretty much dispels the notion that guys care the most about looks and that they only disregard looks for hook ups. For both genders, when red flags were assigned for an unattractive person it was weighed more harshly than an an attractive person. I think most of us already knew that though.

Another topic was if a person is in a relationship and one of them is out of the other persons league, the less attractive person is on a tight leash, with their red flags glaring and outweighing the green flags they have. Best to do LTR with your looksmatch.

reading the recent Childfree post - i absolutely don't understand the claim that not having children is selfish.

No one is asking or consenting to be born. I've always seen having children as far more selfish because you're creating this entire person who is now doomed to be alive because YOU decided that YOU want them to exist.

Considering how many people kill themselves and how many contemplate it every day, it seems logical that many people would have rather never have been born

Not having children sounds like a far more "humane" approach to the immense difficulty that it is to exist as a person in the world. Especially considering that a majority of people will be bad parents

some key takeways

1) most men dont actually like casual sex- in fact casual sex makes men very anxious

2) due to feminisms and sexual liberation- courtship is dead. courtship had many cons but one of the pros was certainty. men and women both knew their roles to play. the cost of sexual liberation is uncertainty (look at how people over analyze text messages, actions, words)

The hard to swallow pill is that men (all else being equal) will always have an edge over women in the hiring process, but it’s mainly due to the fact that we’re seen as more disposable.

Every workplace I've ever worked in, there's always been this one woman who seemed to have decided that everyone hates her, and that her goal in life should be to make everyone in else in the workplace as miserable as she is.

Often middle aged, and not accomplished, she seems constantly anxiety-ridden, critical, paranoid, etc. She thinks Jessica in accounting has it out for her. And she deals with these feelings by firing back with the power outlet that's been opened to her: Complaining to Human Resources about every little possible thing.

Anyone who has actually been out in the world knows that human interaction is grey. If you make enough rules, then you'll get innocents who yeah maybe technically crossed a line, but no one else had any problem with it. But this woman is dead set to take advantage of those rules as best she can. And if you make the rules about how she felt, rather than intent, well then it's just open season.

The result is that one person like this can terrorize an entire workspace, and indeed succeed in making everyone else miserable. We've set up the rules to coddle people like this, at the expense of everyone else, under some notions of compassion and caring about 'victims'. But some people will play victim every chance you give them, and need to be told "no" at some point.

Is it just my area, or is every Whole Foods parking lot an absolute circus? Anyone else not able to abide being taken care of/fussed over?

I'm currently ill as fuck and my girlfriend wants to come over to take care of me. But I'm getting waves of revulsion at the thought. I know stereotypically men are supposed to turn into big babies when ill, but for me it's the opposite. I just want to be left alone to deal with it myself.

I don't know if this is a good thing though. I had a very austere, strict upbringing - illness is weakness, never show weakness, never complain about anything, always soldier through - and it's turned me in to quite a hard-hearted person.

I have learned how to give love, but I don't think I'm good at receiving it. Maybe it's time to drop the hardman routine. I've been far too independent for the entirety of my life. It might even deepen the bond to try this just once.

Anyone else struggled with themselves in this way?

Anyone got any tips for being social/confident. I have acquired good enough looks, I have been told I am attractive many times by both sexes and several orientations, I get the choosing signals etc. I can get sex without TOO much difficulty. 20 years old for reference.

Problem is my confidence and social skills suck. I don’t really know how to approach people and make new friends. I know dudes who aren’t as attractive as me physically (not to sound big headed just being honest) getting in relationships with girls I would love to get with, and I’m guessing this is because they’re “normies” with normal to above average social skills and status or whatever.

I’m guessing its some sort of imposter syndrome because I was bullied for my looks growing up and got heavily into blackpill philosophy at around 15. So my self esteem is shit, so I have a very limited social circle as a result.

Anyone have any tips to overcome this? Shit sucks.

I was just ruminating in a bad headspace, thinking about old experiences. I was thinking about how time and time again, I felt like I always did the right thing, or came up with the right answer. Whatever negative shit was going on in my head, I didn't unleash it. I was always kind, always found my way away from anger, and always made the choice that was most considerate of others.

But then I learned that it never mattered that I did that. Over and over again, no one cared. So why was I doing it? Exactly by what incentive process am I motivated to do it any more? If you maximally punish people who do that, you leave yourself no room to punish them any more for actual shit. With women this happened with, I'm forced to see the reality that I could have basically done anything, said anything, and the worst that would have likely happened was what happened anyway. Where does that leave me for the next time? And women wonder why men they meet aren't willing to do for them anymore.

Since this keeps coming up:

The earth is billions of people away from the carrying capacity, which in reddit hive mind terms, means we are not on the verge of overpopulation. Also this will happen irregardless of you having children or not, because guess what, others are. All it means is you have lonely holidays while elderly.

Two - No we are not over polluted. Some countries are and guess what, you aren't stopping that. The West is less polluted now than in the recent past despite having more people over all. The earth isn't at a breaking point for that either.

Three - No global warming isn't going to kill you all via the magic of "climate change". And on the subject, since its apparently "going to happen anyways" if its even at its worst you will just have to deal with it. Being its been going far far slower, the sea hasn't risen yet, and food is still happily being grown, calm the fuck down.

I know I can't expect a lot from people who think a mask is what is saving them from a virus, but for the rest of you who think, please do so.

So I keep seeing this "Men built the world" concept brought up.

I was reading an article yesterday. Completely unrelated to the Manosphere.

Anyway, in it, the male author, says "Men designed the Internet and.....(etc etc)....and now women get to participate in this."

And as I've said before: One man is the reason for the Internet (and everything else in the modern world) and women and men get to partipate in using these things.

Then I got to thinking: Do men actually believe that women are developmentally/cognitively incapable of doing the jobs men dominate?

Because I honestly think some men think this.

I was talking to a man here a while back. And he seemed to think, women could not possibly have been able to hunt back when people were hunters and gatherers as if being female prevented them from killing an animal. 🙃

I am not a doctor. But my IQ is normal/above average and if I studied my ass of (like doctors do) I would be able to become a doctor. And that is likely true for most people.

So then why am I not a doctor? Because that field of study doesn't interest me.

Just like a doctor doesn't need to be an engineer who doesn't need to be a roofer who doesn't need to be farmer who doesn't need to work in finance who doesn't need to be a lawyer etc.

We live in a way where we can choose our interests. And that was not possible until recent decades whereas the average Joe worked as farmers or in factory jobs.

If all the farmers in the world disappeared tomorrow, would all farming stop for all eternity? No. People who were not originally farmers would funnel into the field, learn it, and restore it back to function so the human race could survive.

But I have seen it said but a few men that if men disappeared from the Earth tomorrow, women would be dead within a few weeks.

Not that we would immediately work on filling all the necessary positions men once held based on what was needed most and continue to survive in the world.

Nope. Being biologically female and not naturally drawn to certain fields of study, and certain types of work also apparently means you are utterly incapable of doing them if you needed to. 🤔

What exactly is it about women feeling "judged" or being averse to judgemental people. I've had a couple people/women in my life saying things like "you sound judgemental/ Don't be judgy/ I don't want to feel judged/ etc."

Like, they do the thing, but then the moment you have a dissenting opinion on it, you're suddenly the bad guy. There's no owning up to it saying "yeah I did that. So what?" Its "omg you're an asshole, don't make me feel bad for the questionable or socially unacceptable things that I did."
