I do try to have sympathy and empathy for those who adhere to Redpill/blackpill, I really do. I'm an "average guy" and I get that dating is difficult. However, the grievances they often have that drive them to such beliefs are just so minor.

Kind of related to my reply in an earlier post. But I think it’s interesting how differently men treat you when they think you’re a certain type of woman.

My bf and I are in the same field. Sometimes our professional circles overlap. When we first started going out, he told me that some of his colleagues called me aggressive and said that I was likely to be a “ball-buster”. Obviously my bf didn’t listen, or maybe he did, but we recently went to a bday party for one of his work friends and afterwards, he told me that one of the guys commented on how extremely nice and relaxed I was.

One guy even asked my bf how he got me to be so nice now. The funny thing is, I wasn’t acting nice, I was simply just not overthinking or being my usual self. I knew my bf would talk me up, so I didn’t have to worry about it. I knew my bf would stop any bad taste jokes, so I could laugh at anything and not really care.

I talked with all the wives and girlfriends that aren’t in our profession about their work, their hobbies and just overall played the “girlfriend role”.

Men definitely have a pre-selection bias too. Because the second those guys saw that I could play the soft, quiet femme, they were so much nicer to me in every interaction.

Even at work. Where I was my usual self, the guys were less aggressive and on edge: sometimes stupidly so. As if me, being “submissive” for a successful man automatically makes me less threatening to them. It’s so weird.

So I met the so called awful co worker today, was nowhere near as bad as I had heard, yes, there was some truth to what I had heard, she tried to apparently get under my skin as some kind of test or some shit idk (according to our other co worker) but stopped once she saw I wasn't bothered by it, she tests every new assistant manager they've had.

My teacher pulled my aside and said “bud, don’t use that language. I see your name at the top of the essay. I know who’s opinion this is, I know who is thinking these things. Instead of “I think” say “this is.” It is a given that this your opinion and not factual. If you provide a fact, that will be cited from a credible, secondary source.”

This sub needs to acknowledge that sentiment a little better.
