Guys I would not immediately and completely rule out of ever wanting to do something with? 90% (of the ones my age, of course).

Guys I will actively admire the looks of? 40%.

Guys I will for fun fantasise about getting to know? 2%. (These will usually have some remarkable things going on; funnily dyed hair, T-shirt signalling a shared hobby or something).

Guys I actively want to pursue something with? 0,01%. (Only a couple people, and only people I already know).

if you mean spotting someone in public i think is super good looking and attractive, rarely.

but there have been tons of guys that i’ve met that were average or a little below, that shot up in attractiveness once i spoke to them or got closer.

it takes an extremely good looking guy that attracts me strictly off looks. last year i remember seeing a guy in the mall and it took almost everything in me not to throw myself at him lol. wonder how he’s doing :,)

When I was young, single and paying attention to guys, I'd say at least one or two every time I went out. And as a waitress I waited on cute guys all the time and had crushes on some of my regulars.

The thing is I tend to hyperfixate on the first person who catches my attention so there might be plenty of guys in a given venue that I could potentially be attracted to, but once I fixate on one I won't notice the others.

It's very contextual also. A guy who didn't turn my head at the grocery store might turn my head at a bar or party when I'm in that headspace.

For me it's 0. I can tell you if someone is objectively attractive, but l don't feel physical attraction to most people. It's been 3 guys in 28 years and they were nothing alike. I wouldn't date someone in those circumstances.

Men I would be willing to go on a date with? 0%. I really only date men after getting to know them a bit at least and only develope a visceral attraction after developing some kind of connection.

Probably 20-30% of men will actually catch my eye as physically attractive, and about 50-60% are men that I'm mostly indifferent to, but wouldn't totally dismiss as a non-option.

It also depends on what I'm doing throughout the day. If it's a Sunday, the numbers drop dramatically because I only go to my little church where 95% of men are 40+ yrs old, mostly seniors. Throughout the week, I attend college, so most guys there are closer to my age so most of them are pretty good options. If my day-to-day work life was in a more age-diverse environment, I might feel differently.

When Im going through my work day, at the gym, or out with friends at a bar/resteraunt etc. I see lots.

If im going to walmart or something like that its very very rare. Even with my gym example, going to an equinox or a high end gym is a drastic difference from what you will see at the standard planet fitness (or whatever chain gyms)

it really depends on the places you are going, what age range is there, and socioeconomic etc.

I like open mics for stand-up comedy and music, as well as karaoke bars, and on a crowded night I'd probably find 2-5% attractive in the sense that I'd be willing to try to start a convo first.

I'd say an additional 15% fall into the "neutral" category: I'm not unattracted to them, but they'd need to do something to swing the pendulum.

When I was single I knew what was objectively attractive. I went to a school in a different continent where obesity didn’t plague the halls, so most people there were attractive.

Did I look at them and think immediately I wanted to date them? No. My personal attraction isn’t based on that. Even lust wise. I see a person and I just think “they look great” and move on.

For some context on that, I used to work at a library. I saw so many people coming and going, using the computers or attending events.

What made my pupils mold into the shape of a heart were the bookworms. I would see a guy sitting with his knees to his chest, completely enveloped in a book and my heart would thunder in my chest like a racehorse on steroids! I found it so incredibly sexy seeing someone passionate over a book. Of course, I was shy so I wouldn’t talk to them, but I spent so much time admiring them.

My boyfriend isn’t a book nerd, but he’s a nerd. And god when I first met him he was funny! Still is and still makes me laugh. He’s charismatic and flirty and his voice just makes my heart explode! ( that’s important to me. Voices. If a guy sounds a certain way and I don’t like it I can’t enter a relationship with him. I mean, that’s the voice I’m gonna hear during sex, during cuddles, when I’m sad or mad or excited. I gotta like the voice too.)

But going back to the question itself, now that Im dating someone, even if someone comes up to me and is insanely attractive it’s crickets in my heart. And I love that.

I love that I have this wonderful blessing for not wanting anyone else when I’m happily dating someone else.

So my number went down from maybe 1-2 guys a week/month to zero.

Really depends on the setting. I interact with men mostly in a professional context on a daily basis and outside of that I don’t really go out that much these days (so don’t come across many).

At the events, socials, awards, etc. when everyone is polished and dressed up I prob find most of them sexually attractive tho… 😅

I'm attracted to personalities more than looks. It's very rare that I see someone that I'm immediately sexually attracted to, and the majority of the time, that person isn't what society considers conventionally attractive.

I'm pansexual, so this applies to all genders equally. I can view a person and acknowledge they are beautiful, but I don't typically get pants feelings just by looking at someone.

I'll answer as a man. I lived in the Miami area for 2 years and i have to admit that there are some super good looking people there, of both sexes. However, after 2-3 months, it's just normal and you realized the "pretty people" are vapid, conceited, selfish and borderline stupid. They really rely heavily on their looks. After a while, it gets tiring and numbing.

Just having a conversation with someone was a practice in patience. I'll tell you right now, I'd rather be smart than pretty. The sheer paranoia of getting older and considered "old" at 30 was downright...sad. There's a lot of truth to the saying "Beauty fades, but stupid is forever". I don't envy their shallow lives or fear of aging out.

There's only so much surgery and fillers you can do to yourself before you start to become a sideshow.

The insecurity...wow.

I could find 100% of men I see attractive. The percent who will ever sleep with me is 0. Even when I was young and single, the percentage wasn’t that much higher.

hard to imagine dating a guy based on just looks alone, men can be funemployed or toxic from getting pilled from the internet or have a criminal history. You have to interact with them first. like have a comfortable, interesting conversation, figure out what kind of person he is, see him do something like working on a passion project, or carrying a puppy out of a burning building, etc.

I’m bisexual but more physically attracted to men (on a biological level). Unfortunately, I don’t find many men attractive. Maybe 5% of men are attractive and they’re usually taken. I would say 60% of women are bangable . I find that more women are on point with their hygiene and the effort they put into their looks. This is more prevalent on OLD as men generally take horrible pictures, close up to their faces and showing their double chins, whilst women play to their best angles and consider lighting. Generally, most of mens dating problems stem from lack of effort. Seen guys who are below average in their pictures but better in person.

I hardly ever "meet" guys but most days I see 0 hot guys. There's like 2-3 hot ones in my gym occasionally, like Maybe once a week when I'm there. I might see 1 or 2 hot guys at the mall like once a month. On the street it's hit it miss, like 1 per month. Even when I drive past the university it's about the same. It varies depending on the environment. Sometimes it’s none and then other times I walk around and see numerous men that I find hot and would be interested in. But even on those days it’s still less than 5% of men overall that catch my eye.

I’m not actually that picky about facial features or height but I find men sexually attractive who are more androgynous and who put effort into their looks. Which isn’t a large pool unless I’m in an environment with a lot of alt or non-heterosexual people. In which case the number of men I find attractive goes up quite a lot.

Most men I encounter on a regular basis aren’t unattractive but they don’t stand out either, most don’t put much effort into their appearance or style and are not my type.

On a regular basis I see a lot more women who I find attractive, like 60-80% that I find pretty or hot to some degree. My attraction to women isn’t stronger than it is to men but I don’t have as specific of a type when it comes to women and women in general tend to put more effort into looking nice.

That‘s a tough question. I recently went on a trip to Austria with a friend and we concluded that there’s rarely an attractive person that we‘ve seen. And that compared to the city I am living in (Munich, Germany) it is a pity, because in Munich I meet attractive people easily and on a daily basis. So many in fact, that you can’t really count them. They are everywhere: at my Uni, just walking the streets, chilling in the city, sitting at the lake or traveling in the U-Bahn. It is really not hard to take a 5 minute walk and catch an attractive person with my eye.

Here’s the deal though, „attractive“ doesn’t necessarily mean I want to date them, nor that I would approach them. I’ve only ever found one person to be „perfect“ and that was my Ex, whom I was extremely in love with. He‘s the only one I had a serious sexual connection to and the only one I wanted to sleep with in my whole life, so I guess there‘s more to attraction than meets the eye

Imo there’s two types of attraction. Instant attraction which usually relies entirely on looks and attraction based on the whole person which requires me to either get to know them as a person first or have a friend vouch for them. When I’m out and about I’d say I find maybe 1-2 guys in the hundred I see attractive enough that I’ll think to myself wow that’s a good looking man. It’s harder to easily calculate how many men I think are dating material based on who they are and not just their exteriors.

I think dating nowadays is probably very demoralizing for everyone but especially men because you’re going entirely on the first type of attraction I talked about, you’re swiping at record speed and are judging someone based on less than a second of looking at them typically. Of course average looking people are going to fall through the cracks because of human nature, OLD makes everyone a product and just like when you’re shopping you want the best version. Traditionally you meet people through others and there’s already implied chemistry since you’re both friends with a person, probably at least have some overlapping interests, and know the same people generally, etc etc etc. I’ve been on a few really great dates in my life with men I never would have picked for myself because friends thought we’d have good chemistry and vouched for them 🤷🏻‍♀️

When i do get attracted to someone its usually not just upon first sight of them but after at least an introduction and maybe a few more interactions… so its not just “looks” alone its looks plus getting to know them at least very superficially- how they interact with me and others, sound of their voice, how they act, etc.

I never really thought of a percentage. I used to meet a lot more new people on a regular basis. Even if I am single there are usually one or two people at a time Im attracted to.
