One of the biggest arguments they use to complain about the dating scene for women is that men are "low effort".

But is this argument valid?

Men are the ones:

  • Sending the first message on dating apps;
  • Planning the 1st date alone;
  • Paying the entire bill on the 1st date.

If being a single man is so easy, why aren't those communities asking women to do all those three things instead of men?

It's something like this:

Random woman:
- Being a single man is so easy! They do almost no effort.
Random man:
- Ok, honey. Do you wanna swap places with us?
You could start sending the first message to all men you match on Tinder,
always plan your first dates alone and also... Paying the whole bill on every first date you go.
The same woman:
- Ewwww! Women should not be burdened with all those responsibilities!

If men are the ones being assigned to do those three tasks during the talking stage, maybe they aren't the "low effort" ones...

Women can't complain that being a single man is "easy" and then get mad when men ask them to swap places with them.

It's like those dudebros who say stay-at-home wives are privileged for only doing housework and not office work, but that would never become househusband themselves.
