It's a notorious statistic that men are far more likely to leave their sick wives than women are to leave their sick husbands, something like 6x or 7x more likely. Is this a case of men simply marrying women they don't love that much for wife benefits? Do women just tend to love more deeply than men do? Do men just absolutely hate being caregivers?

Something that I think is also relevant is that men are much more likely to abandon their children, especially when those children have issues like autism. Why do you think it is that men are more likely to leave when their loved ones are sick?
