If the premise of pro-abortion advocacy is that the mother has the right to choose whether she becomes a parent, should we not extend that same choice to men?

I understand that giving the father the right to choose an abortion for the mother would be pretty appalling, but should he not have the same right to opt out of parenthood for the same reasons women might (e.g. financial concerns, abuse, simply not wanting to)? We hear a lot about deadbeat dads, I’d assume the majority of them did not want to be fathers or were socially/legally coerced into becoming fathers. I’m sure there were some men who thought they wanted to be fathers and changed their minds, but I’d imagine this is true for a lot of mothers as well. It seems that feminists/blue pill types are somewhat aware that men are told to “man up” and do things they don’t want to do, yet when it comes to parenthood we tell men “should’ve worn a condom then”.

I’m not sure about how the logistics or timeline would work, but I think you’d have to give the mother a reasonable amount of time after the abdication to decide whether she wants to carry the baby to term. Conceptually though, what do you think of men having some legal avenue to avoid the legal responsibility of parenthood, given it’s presumably unethical for the father to force an abortion on the mother?
