The problem with TRP is the anger/depressed phase. TRP essentially teaches you Santa isn’t real. It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially for those from tradcon homes. It often takes a certain amount of life experience to truly understand. Until you’ve seen women first-hand choose asshole after asshole it will not make sense. It will make even more sense after you adopt TRP and realise your success with women skyrockets, as long as you’re happy to put in the work. The problem is the guys who are lazy/pessimistic stay in the anger/depressed/blackpill phase for too long and just come across as women bashing.

I think the biggest inaccuracy in this sub is the portrayal of red-pill being traditionalist, you'll often read something like "TRP/tradcons just want to control women..."

TRP is sexually neo-liberal, not conservative. TRP and conservatives don't agree.

Example, Rollo Tomassi and Jordan Peterson don't agree, Rollo describes Peterson as covertly blue pill, because TRP views that aspects of traditionalism came about through gynocentricism.

Yet on this forum, people seem to be trying to tie together TRP as part of the "patriarchy", and so the arguments become very odd.

TRP was developed from old school 90's PUA to help the AVERAGE GUY who was sexually frustrated be sexually successful.

In that sense, looks do not matter nearly as much as attitude and actions. Because we are talking about people within 2-3 std deviations of normal. In addition, most men can improve their SMV 2-3 points (+1 point for being not fat and/or strong, +1 for dressing and grooming well, +1 for attitude) so a 4 can become a 6 or 7 a 3 can become a 5-6, and 5-6 is pretty much the threshold to get laid on average. 1's and 2's can still find a relationship if they are willing to settle (go to any nerd store. Most of them are fat, dress poorly, and ugly. Most of them also have girlfriends that usually hang out at the store. They are also women who are fat, ugly, and dress poorly).

The problem is there are too many 3rd world country immigrants on the sub that think women here should behave like they do "back home" where people shit in the fucking streets. And they complain that redpill doesn't work, and claim it's because of looks. No, it's because you are so rediculously obtuse that you think "attitude matters more than looks" means you can go play grab ass with a random blonde hottie at your school as a pick-up line and she'll immediately drop to the floor and suck your dick.

I'm going to level with you. I was objectively a 4 on my good days. Low 20's, balding, fat, spent most of my free-time playing vidya, MtG, and DnD. I read the redpill, realized it was my fault, and spent the next SIX MONTHS getting into shape, and picking up new interesting hobbies, reading through the books in the sidebar, doing a lot of deep introspection, and trying out the random shit that was advised to see what worked for me and what didn't. I fell on my ass every single time. I shrugged, took notes, and KNEW for 100% that I was being too spergy about it, so it wasn't coming off natural.

I spent the next 6 months working on my style, continuing to lose weight, and being less spergy in conversation (How to Win Friends and Influence people is in the sidebar for a reason guys). Shit now works. I've got a unicorn of a wife whose devoted to me, and I'm devoted to her. She takes care of all the shit that annoys me, and I keep her safe, fed, loved, and fucked well. It's a pretty fair trade. I've doubled my income in 2 years, tripled it if you go back 5 (I started this process in ~2015 for context), and I regularly get IoI's from women I run into when I'm alone. (Work, nerd shop, store). I no longer have the ego driven need to pursue them, but it's a big confidence booster that I could, and I would have a decent shot at success.

All of this to say: In context, looks "don't matter". It doesn't matter what you look like when you start the process, because if you meet the baseline criteria of being the average western guy, there is a VERY slim chance that redpill wouldn't work for you in some context.

TRP doesn't say it, but it has to imply it to a certain extent in order to maintain the idea that it's possible for every guy to sufficiently improve in the first place. If looks and smv matter in an absolute sense, then there's some line below which there are men who will be hopeless no matter how much they toil.

I've been in the RP and PPD community for a while, and I've never seen RP more misrepresented than current day.

Society has become so wack, and social ethics have reared a huge ugly head. A large component of this is the men vs women thing going on

A prime exemplification is PPD in this current state. It used to be debate between blue pilled vs red pill theory, but it's mostly women vs men, social dynamics now.

TRP legitimately changed my life 4-5 years ago. Today I have a family (not married) and I could not be happier.

Completely changed the way I saw relationship dynamics. To anyone who really doubts it, just go read through the sidebar and put in the work. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Honestly I could careless what they call it or what some of the members of the sub post. Every group has crazy ppl.

Redpill is the mindset, PUA is the strategy. The problem with PUA is that it is now mostly outdated, but it was relevant at the time the redpill sub and some of these forums were created.

This is going to be mindboggling to a lot of the angsty 20 somethings on here but there are 2 important things to consider.

The discussion on female psychology, dating behaviour and how to be a man have existed before Reddit was a website, and before the internet even existed. Even the idea of the Matrix analogy of "The Red Pill" was cringe to me when I first saw the sub because all these Reddit nerds were acting like this huge secret of sex and dating was discovered that blew their minds. But THIS STUFF WAS COMMON KNOWLEDGE to non-aspie guys with social experience.
There was a time, still recently, where men and women dated without the use of the internet and online dating. The only ppl using dating websites were desperate divorced women. And young people had to hook up by physically socializing. There was NO OTHER OPTION. Even for the CC riding whores. This is important because a lot of the PUA stuff was as important to getting laid as having good profile photos and a cool IG page is to getting laid today.

I'm guilty indeed of doing TRP = FDS = femcels = incels.

The idea is that all of em start from same tenets of romance being set up in a certain way. The difference between em is only minute, amounting to highschool style of "us vs em" spin. Chad is HVM for TRP, LVM fuccboy for FDS, but they are talking about the same thing - and it mirrors like that with everything, the object is the same, only biased perspective differs.

One concludes to lie down and rot, the other goes to enjoy the decline, third wonders where all the good men gone, but it's all irrelevant as it's just their perspective of looking at an universal "purple" framework we're trying to agree on in here.

There's no point in discussing merits of TRP or FDS, what's interesting is the merit of the underlying, loosely black pill, tenets of their own. It's about consensus on universal starting points of all pill ideologies.

What individual people decide to do with it - subscribe to TRP, FDS, MGTOW or a cel is beside the point, and frankly, their own business with no discernible consequence on a grand scale.

The women have to misconstrue TRP because they don't want to admit most of what they say is actually true.

They play these semantic games all the time. Nice guys became 'nice guys' so that they don't have to admit they are attracted to assholes. Any sort of transaction, expectation, or quid-pro-quo becomes 'entitlement' to allow them to objectify men (ironically demanding men not objectify them).

TRP evolved alot over time. PUA in the 1990's was only about the art of seduction without any political discussions about feminism, divorce and the court system mixed with evolution based psychology.

TRP broke off from PUA in the 2000's after the movie came out to develop "inner game", trying to figure out why the PUA techniques worked and cultivated the us against the world narrative for the "truth".

The "truth" portion of the TRP got muddled has it grew in popularity and got more mainstream.

There are many TRP bloggers making money on selling the idea that low SMV came be overcome. Many new TRPer got stuck in the angry phase.

Really the only thing consistent about TRP is the benefits of lifting.

While some of this is true, people with the dark triad have a healthy amount of each individual trait. A guy who refuses to give his GF any credit and talks about how godly he is (so a overwhelming amount of Narcissism) will do worse than a normal guy. Power driven is a good example of a healthy amount of Narcissism.
