Beware the trichotomy.

You live in a cheaper city even though you could afford SF or Manhattan because it’s all dudes in those expensive apartments. I think AI generated content is really going to change OLD.

Guys will create convincing fake photos that minimise their negatives but don't exactly look like themselves to defend against "are we dating the same guy" Facebook pages.

AI will allow them to mildly change their back story - race, culture, even slightly throw women off on their height.

What I find strange about the whole "men shouldn't care about n counts, the past is the past!" argument is that women clearly care about n counts too.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've heard women finding out that a guy has slept with a lot of women and the response being "eww he's a Fuckboy."

The truth is that the vast majority of people care about n counts to at least some degree. People, regardless of gender, are likely to not see you as relationship material if your n count is in the triple digits. Obviously the people who have a n count limit of like 0-5 can be weirdos (as well as if their reasons for having a limit is simply misogyny), but hey if they want to have that limit so be it, if it's not a reasonable or realistic expectation let them fail.

I myself came close to my GF's n count limit, I'm not going to berate her for that.

I’m 20 weeks and 3 days today and have not received prenatal care. Ive scheduled 10 different appointments at 6 different facilities which were either rejected due to me insurance or my doctor canceled on me last minute. Since women keep on bashing and being offensive on here, I do need to get out my two cents as well and I think it is just fair.

The last couple of threads clearly showed me that PPD women are just as delusional, if not worse than they claim their male counterparts to be. As far as I observed PPD women do love to wallow in self-pity and misery and sucking other people into their own miserable unhappy state.

Thankfully, I did talk with women outside of PPD and let me tell you, comparing them two would be an insult to the women outside of PPD. The women outside of PPD were usually so incredibly nice, kind, sympathetic, empathetic, understanding, tolerating, intelligent and caring, all character traits which you'll most likely never see from women on PPD. I suppose I also had the luck to never speak with feminists except on PPD, let me tell you, they are worse than a pain in the ass.

In summary, every man who isn't married to a PPD woman really can count themselves as lucky. By all respects, but PPD women (and men) are truly unbearable.

Oh and all of this applies for the majority of reddit and several other internet platforms.

I think another caveat people overlook is that a lot of people back in the day got married, because they felt a pressure to get married with everyone else in their peer group getting married.

A lot less people will be getting married in the future and/or have less of a peer group in general, so there won't be as much of an external pressure to settle down and get married as a result.

Anyone else notice this? It seems that nearly all women aged 18-35 are the most likely to push feminist narratives when convenient (i.e. women should be free and do whatever they want and have no expectations of them), but also push the need for traditional roles when convenient (i.e. shaming any man that tries to split a bill or isn't willing to get $3 slice of cheese on a hamburger).

/u/Mrs_Drgree — I think this is a major reason why many women aren't identifying as feminists nowadays. They still want all the benefits of feminism, but they want all of the selective benefits traditionalism brought them as well, so there is some sense of cognitive dissonance and potential social risk by openly identifying as a feminist.

Not to mention, contemporary feminism has shifted its focus away from helping cis-gendered women as its primary demographic as they have a constant push for inter-sectionalism (no matter how contradictory the movement becomes as in my aforementioned point).

I saw /u/ciabatta_scoober picked up the argument after me yesterday, and I think he did a good job, but missed the forest for the trees in terms of the data.

The Graph I posted yesterday came from another study done in 2020, the year before your study. The difference is that your study was a meta-analysis of bunch of different studies and the data includes people meting anywhere from 2002-2020 indiscriminately. The graph I posted (and the study it came from) was from 2020, but it has 1995 and 2017 marked because those are the years that the couples met, when they were polled in 2020. The purpose of the 2 studies were different, the one from the graph is explicitly trying to chart the difference in ways couples met over time, the purpose of the study you linked was about the examining whether 1 specific way of meeting up was being undervalued. Just look at the different Abstracts:

There is more than one pathway to romance, but relationship science does not reflect this reality. Our research reveals that relationship initiation studies published in popular journals (Study 1) and cited in popular textbooks (Study 2) overwhelmingly focus on romance that sparks between strangers and largely overlook romance that develops between friends. Notice 2 very important points there: first, that your study mostly looks at psych major university students for some reason, whereas the other study includes all adults. And secondly, that your study doesn't put any emphasis on the way dating has changed since 2002 and the rise of internet dating.

small edit: changed "only university" to "mostly university students". Looking at the study, it seems about half (884) their samples came from students, and about half (1,013) came from adults.

It's unsettling how much fakery goes into a woman's appearance. And it's not just make up. Her clothing choices will strategically hide stretch marks, blemishes, cellulite. Her bra will mask her asymmetric, small and/or droopy breasts. Honestly, most of you look better in clothed than naked. Maybe that's why some men might initially genuinely want more than just sex with you, but then after seeing your true appearance they get turned off

The men here claiming the gov isn’t doing anything are lying. College admission rates dropped. They responded by taking away SAT and ACT scores so that men would apply.
