I do, i actually find myself emotionally relating to women more than men and given that talking to women about my issues generally yields more understanding. I think its important to have platonic friendships with both genders, to me having no friends of the opposite gender is just as much of a red flag as not having friends of the same gender

Yeah. Women, generally speaking, are cool. They can provide a different energy and social balance to situations where you don’t just want to hang out with the boys.

Obviously women aren’t perfect. Plenty of them are assholes. And the women I like I don’t like because they’re women any more than I like my guy friends because they’re men. But yeah, not liking the opposite gender is pretty dumb. That’s half the world.

I like most women and men when I first meet them. I don't care what you look like. We interact, and I start to react. Maybe I know you want to be critical (complain) because I empathize with your point of view. Maybe I need to do the same. If we both are polite and follow comfortable interactions, we can make progress in a friendly relationship.

Then, in contrast, I start dealing with a woman or man who starts off sarcastic or aggressive, going into a defensive or offensive conversation filled with emotion.

The problem today, in my opinion, is the loss of reserved initial interactions. I saw a bumper sticker today with the F word. Women sometimes wear clothing that is distracting. Men dress like slobs and are unkempt. Men and women make politically charged statements without considering others' points of view. When you add in gender and generalization, it is toxic.

Compound this with overemphasized acceptance of your own defects that you control. Yea, stop wasting time on video games. Diet and moderate exercise are necessary. Improve your integrity by seeking the truth, which may not be in your favor. Once you have integrity, you can stand your ground without offending fools. Don't interact with fools.

Yes I do. The most important and loving and meaningful figures in my life have been men, my greatest friends and role models have been at least 50% if not even majority men. I make friends with men very easily, like spending time with men, and count many, many men among those most cherished to me.

I know very few women who actually dislike men, and I can’t think of one who actually hates them. Frustration sometimes or often, yes. Hurt, yes. But I know very few women who don’t actually really like men, want to spend time with them and be around them, and have positive relationships of many kinds with men.

I don’t hate men, never have. The men around me are brilliant, fantastic sense of humour and good fun. Their great at just getting to the point in a conversation and often good at letting shit go.

I first found out about incels in the uk shooting a few years ago, (this was a massive thing here) and I actually couldn’t believe in this country there was small groups of men that blamed women because they couldn’t get a gf or sex and felt violence was their only answer. I knew guys like him would just be a one off but then I was led here where I found out about red/blue pill.

Now I’m a lot more wary of strange men and look for certain words in their chat to indicate whether they fallow the trd. I understand it’s meant to be a health guide for men to improve their lives, but it’s main goal seems to be to get sex rather than improving your health. It also mentions a lot of Dom/sub master/pet kinda relationship which really disturbs me as I know some people are into but not as many as trp likes to believe.

Basically I like men, but not men that follow trp, I believe they are Andrew Tate wannbies and don’t actually care who their hurting to get what they want

I neither like or dislike the opposite gender; I don't see the need to have an opinion on people that have no bearing on my life be it female or male, I like individuals.

I like my friends that happen to be male because I have [insert male-dominated hobby, study etc.] in common with them plus I enjoy their humor and banter and ease of friendship. I like their company and the fact they have a penis is irrelevant to whether or not I enjoy their company. Have I met men that I actively disliked? Yes, and they're a minority, same as the women I've actively disliked. But my dislike for these individuals wasn't caused by traits that has anything to do with their sex.

All of my current friends are men, and as a tomboy I've always had a ton more male than female friends in my lifetime. Even in private school where they actively discourage opposite sex friendships, it didn't phase me or stop my friends and I from hanging out. Men, in general, are easier for me to talk to since I'm autistic, and because my hobbies are still considered male dominated.

Honestly? I really hate my own gender. Biology dealt us a pretty shit hand, we can’t come up with anything worthwhile to do on our own, and are generally accessory to anything that matters. And this feminine nurturing energy men seem to crave? Ive always found it strange and off-putting. I really feel sometimes like an empty vessel, physically, emotionally, spiritually.

I get that most of the men who are here are here because they have some hangup about sex and dating, but I wish they would realize that they have so much more potential in most other areas of life than the average woman, if they would just capitalize on it.

I love men,mostly. I find my BF’s body absolutely amazing,his voice rumbling in his chest when I lie against him and his scruff feels good when it tickles my shoulder. That’s not all of course,also the companionship and stability he brought into my life especially during a very very hard time in my life a few years ago. Being able to get it out the mud and start succeeding with the man of your dreams was all I ever asked for.

I love my father very much. He supported us on his one job driving nearly an hour every day to and from work then coming home to raise a daughter. He took care of me while staying strong even though his wife and my mother had just died suddenly and horribly. I still remember his hands shaking as he opened the hospital bill that had come with mom’s last days. He did the best he could and in hindsight it gave me some very positive early ideas of what a man would do for his loved ones.

I have male friends. We might not always see eye to eye but I always listen to what they have to say/vent and I get the same respect from them. They are fathers,sons and husbands. I feel I have a lot to glean from them about the male side of a relationship that I might not be able to quite understand or I have misread. I find it refreshing and plus they’re all just fucking hilarious and I love hanging with people who kick back and cut up.

The million dollar question: have I ever hated men? Truthfully yes,from about 18 to 21. Something very bad happened to me because of a man,an old man. I think you can figure it out. I carried extreme bitterness and rage for EVERYONE but I was especially silent and cold around men. At some point I realized that I can’t live like this. I was shooting myself in the foot by hating the male race for someone else’s actions while also despising them for not wanting me. I sort of re-socialized myself by making male friends outside of my job and slowly working my way through things

I get on better with men than women (I am a woman) largely for the following reasons 1) my interests are masculine 2) I am neurodivergent and socially inept, female friend groups require some level of emotional intelligence 3) I have a fairly traditionally masculine type personality. A description of it I got once in a joke from someone was "your definitely not a lady but your an absolute gentleman"

I get on very well with men in friendship especially men much older than me who generally take on a fatherly type role (late 50s to 80s) or men much younger than me where we have an older sister/cool aunt type dynamic (late teens to mid 20s) I'm turning 32 in April

I have a dating age range from around 26-45 I largely do not get on well with men in a romantic sense and unfortunately while technically bisexual it's around 80% men 20% women I'm attracted to.

For the following reasons on my end 1) very few men I encounter within my industry are my intellectual equal. I personally don't care but men feel threatened by me after actually getting to know me for any length where romance is involved. Where romance isn't involved I become an advisory office to the degree friends call me before they call any of our governing bodies because they know I have most regulations, loopholes and work arounds committed to memory.

2) very few men within my main areas of interest are my equal with regards to toughness or other traditionally masculine traits if they are my intellectual equal (particularly politics) and while they may admire my intellect i am looked down on for my background and industry (agriculture, ordinary everyman catholic upbringing) this again is not a problem to me, I don't have a problem with men being less masculine, I am after all bisexual and tbh as a socialist I'm getting increasingly pissed off at being looked down on for my background.

3) I do not really understand and am not capable of playing the usual dating games for any length of time. I am capable of being cunningly charming for short periods as a learned skill from having to deal with people but can't keep it up for any length of time beyond that. In my natural state I am very straightforward, very open, can be blunt, need reassurance, can blow hot and cold as people see it but it's moreso being affectionate but also needing space, I also am very passive and don't care about things that are not important (popular culture, where we go, what we do recreationally, I simply don't care and find it hard to feign interest) but am extremely passionate/intense/stand my ground about things that do (politics, my work, morals and values, planning for the future) on a positive end most people think I'm extremely kind and decent/moral and easy to talk to but on a negative my main issue is being what some others see as emotionally intense, I see it as just not hiding my emotions.

I also have issues with men who I deal with in a non romantic sense who haven't gotten with the program yet and can't stand the fact that in the majority of situations I will come out on top, always have done, I'm a survivor and have always had to be. Men try and "put me in my place" a lot when I am doing absolutely nothing to them bar existing and rowing my own boat. This has never worked out for a single one of them because from once they start with that and try to fuck me over I will absolutely go out of my way to fuck them over twice as hard, spite is often my sole fuel source. I'm not either the absolute most intelligent nor the absolute toughest but I'm tougher than the clever ones and cleverer than the tough ones.

My 3 closest friends are 2 men and another neurodivergent woman of similar type, plus I have the full and faithful backing of every hardy old guy and "lost" and bullied gen z misfit I think I ever knew.

Romantically I seem to attract men very easily but drive men insane to either run away or become obsessive and no in-between (a lot of the former come back and become the latter, at least half and a lot I have dated cycle between )

Right now I'm dating an undiagnosed but absolutely neurodivergent German mechanic/IT support guy (was a mechanic, took some courses, is getting sick of/bored with IT, will probably be a mechanic again) and I'm fairly sure the language barrier is helping tbh because A) he can't judge me by my accent and B) he can't be inventing drama because we keep having to explain intent to eachother, but I am very much enjoying how straightforward he is and forthcoming he is and the fact we are about equal in all respects.

As a man, I certainly do. I enjoy hearing their insights and points of view, and marveling at how different they often are, from ours.

Women often spend more time thinking and worrying about people, while we men are often centered on more abstract ideas, concepts, and the "big picture". Women have been socialized to observe emotions, hints and body language more closely, while we men tend to assume, that if someone's got something to say.....they'll say it. The differences in communication style make for interesting exchanges. One of my best friends of 20 years, is a woman.

Yea I think most women are generally pleasant to talk to and be around. I think the issue is that given the amount of social change, particularly around dating and gender roles, we’ve yet to find a new set of rules that actually work. I don’t blame women for wanting to do away with gender roles that harm them while keeping the ones that help them, that’s human nature. We can still talk about the inconsistency in good faith.

-If women have sexual agency, why do we place the social burden to approach on men? Especially in a world where women are saying that they don’t want creepy (tbh socially awkward) men coming up to them. -If women have financial agency, why do men still need to make more than the woman and/or over $100k (in the US at least) -If women have reproductive agency (or at least we agree that they should), should men get the right to abdicate the pregnancy?

I don’t think most women think of these things because it largely not in their interests to talk about these things. I don’t blame them, because in the past men largely ignored womens issues largely for the same reason.

And to not target just feminist toxicity. Living toghether. A man moves in with a woman, he just wants to multiply fun. A woman moves in with a man and she acts like she got a new house. Why? Who told all women - moving in toghether is a right to do someone a makeover?

And the thing is it's all based around a form of gendered entitlement women aren't any bit self conscious of. I know patriachs, that genuinely think their word is law in the home. They still self doubt their "right" to do that - even if they genuinely think it's best for their daughter to not go out with 6 guys at party as a single girl. I don't know any woman that self doubts using her priviledge to get her bag at work, or the right to reorder a man's life once she got a key to the place. They might doubt how it looks, or how others might take it - but the moral legitimacy of doing it - is never in doubt.

Other than romance, sex and things related to those (the only things that I can't get from men) I am perfectly able to get all my social needs met from interactions with men and I will have to pay less for it.

And by pay I mean any kind of investment of time, effort, money or anything.

I think women on average have more partners than me. Each one is under the delusion there man will be a 1 percenter. I seen my mom hit my dad before. I have seen her complain about how my dad is a looser, while he makes an average salary. I have seen her complain and compare him to other men as if she had that option. I have seen her earn more then him at 50, and she complain about how he does nothing for us. I seen her damage my dads relationships with his brothers. Shes religious and shames him for not going to church.

I do not want that. I have my masters degree, 23, I make 85k with potential to make 180k later in life, I am average in looks and height. I am not religious. I want to buy a nice home with pool using a mortgage, provide for my family, work my white collar job, have my wife work her white collar job. Have a nanny and tutor take care of my kids. Hire a cleaner, twice a month to come clean, order food everyweek, go on vacations with my family once a year, watch tv, open to swing with other couples, and have a man cave in the house for shenanigans. Am I asking for much in life? I want to be left alone, have a decent relationship with my kids, do things I like in life, and take care of my wife. I am not in the 1% and not average but i am upper middle class. If I have to deal with someone like my mom or women online I would go crazy.

Personally I avoid men and I do not enjoy being around them generally. Although I’m not against being friends with men. However that is not due to feminist hatred or societal conditioning. Simply put, I avoid men due to my own experiences and trauma relating to men and the way I’ve seen men online interact and discuss certain issues. I have seen adult men make sexual comments on videos about infants which is extraordinarily uncomfortable. Women do such things as well. A lot of BL/YAOI manga’s involving minors are at time hyper-sexualised by adult women. Both cases are wrong but I mostly see this with men.

Sometimes, when you see things men say online about women it feels like they hate you. It can feel like you’ll never be safe or happy around them and each other they is looking for an excuse to hurt or kill you. Although irrational it can feel like it is all men even though rationally it isnt! Most of this is due to my own personal trauma rather then men themselves.

Absolutely. I spend a large amount of my time platonically socialising with men and have more male friends than female, including my best friend. I help men and boys often, both those I know and don't know. I do not, however, choose to interact with resentful men if I have the choice. That still leaves a lot of men.

Oh absolutely. If you remove sex, romance, etc. Yeah. Most of my friends are men and always have been. I only recently found a tribe of women to really enjoy and spend time with honestly. I think a lot of stuff about men is really fabulous and lovely. If I didn't, I wouldn't bother with them for dating/romance because dating/romance just isn't all that and a bag of chips if you don't like the person you're with.

Do I think a lot of men do shitty things. Yes, but I'd wager the majority of those that aren't just you know, basic ass evil shit, are a result of dating and sex. So if that isn't in the picture, yes, I think the thing I enjoy would be even more enjoyable. That's basically how it is with women for the most part. I don't hate most women either, they do shitty peopley things. Heck, probably hanging out with women would get better too because of the no dating/romance with men.

Honestly, even the framing of this seems like a question only men would need to ask. It's like softening things up. You might as well have said: Men, if women weren't denying you sex and no sex existed, would you still like women? Because no woman needs to be told without romance and dating could she like men. That's the majority of men for women. And the majority of women would be cool being friends with men if you remove the problems of dating and romance.

I don't like a whole gender. I don't like ''men'' as a whole, but I also don't like ''women'' as a whole. I like individual people and I dislike individual people.

There are some men out there who, in my opinion, just suck. Dudes that will lie to get sex, dudes who will cheat because they think their ass deserves having their cake and eating it too, guys who are lazy, and whiny, guys who think they're God's gift to humanity but are, in reality, mediocre or even less than mediocre. However, there are plenty of pretty great guys out there as well. They're kind, open about what they want out of you, they're faithful and treat their partner like an equal, are realistic about their good and bad qualities, work hard on whatever they think is important, and they're respectful.

Same can be said about women - there are some women who are shallow, lazy, boring, think the world owes them for just existing. But there are also plenty of hard-working, intelligent, fun and kind women out there as well.

I don't want to associate with shitty people, regardless of what's between their legs.

I’m neutral. I can’t say I like or dislike men as a whole, as it’s a huge group of people consisting of very different individuals. Some are great, some are awful. I don’t mind spending time with men outside of dating and romance and I have a few male friends whose company I cherish and adore. I wouldn’t seek a company of men I didn’t know or knew barely though, as I don’t feel any need for it.

Having to be aware about possible misinterpretation of my friendliness and possible danger from men complicate things. It doesn’t make me hate men or intentionally avoid their company though. As I’ve said - I’m neutral.

Sure I do, the majority of women have been nothing but nice, sweet wholesome and kind towards me; were there bad apples, Heck yes, I've had my share of toxic problematic women, but it wasn't because they were women, but that they were toxic people. I had lots of good female friends/acquaintances in my life, and good female role models too.

The problems with these echochambers is that you have one guy who had a horrible experience with a problematic women, and that warps and poisons his view on women, and the Redpill/manosphere plays on those insecurities and make it seem that every woman is like the toxic one the man dealt with, when that's not true.

My oldest friend is a man I met in HS, he's like family to me, and I've been friends with lots of dudes. I'm pretty good at giving off bro energy so that they know I'm not into them. I have an amazing son that Im raising to think for himself, express his feelings constructively, and to question all the societal and cultural bs we all get fed. I like guys for a lot of reasons but there are soooo many selfish, immature men, and a fair number now that hold such sexist and misogynistic views towards women that it makes the gender look pretty bad. I blame porn and social media for propagandizing a lot of this hate being spewed currently. I have hope that most men aren't like this, but then I hear men talking about body count like it actually means anything and saying completely uneducated things about women that it really does horrify me. Men aren't taught empathy and compromise the way women are from an early age, and that is a problem in this country.

But women aren't all sugar and spice, some are quite rude, immature, uneducated, and entitled as well. They can be just as much lowbrow heathens as well.

But women don't have nearly as big an issue in harassing, raping and assaulting people, nowhere near the level men do. Combine that with the simple fact that Homicide is a leading cause of death during pregnancy and the postpartum period in the United States, and you get a grim picture about why women might "hate" men. Not to mention getting sent photos of genitalia on the regular by strangers (illegal in many jurisdictions). Hearing men whine about why hot girls just won't go out with them and it's not "fair," while they ignore girls they don't want to date. It's not a good look, fellas.

I don't think I like the glimpse I get portrayed. really makes me put the phone down all together. it's what I loved about reddit. I'm seeing everyone's thoughts written out instead of highlight reels or wierd entertainment values.

when I actually talk to a woman however. it's nice. I usua3 like a girl's voice right out the gate. some really have had a hard time figuring out who they are like me ofc, and I think it's interesting what they have to find, vs what men do. outside of just the normal intimacy and romantic feeling some shared with me, there is a difference level of intelligence and strength that most have to bring out and it's really cool, and attractive.

I love most men. My dad is amazing and have amazing brothers and male cousins. Had a a really close guy friend when I was an uggo in high school and college (he was way better looking than me and not my friend to get in my pants)

Some of the men I dated were users and jerks or just not that interested in me. My husband is really a top notch fella.

My social circles and dating past mostly involve upper middle class dudes who seem to be way better socialized than the typical men most gals in their twenties deal with these days.

Also my tastes and hobbies tend to skew masculine so maybe that’s a factor (video games, weight lifting, action/sci fi movies, Joe rogan/ heterodox infotainment, outdoors activities)

My guess is that serial exposure to jerks and low class men on dating apps and in real life heavily influence what most women think if men these days (same for men re women)

I met my hubs through online dating right before hook up apps became a big thing

I think this may be true for a lot of people! And that is why I dislike men. I’m a man myself but I get along better with women in general. I work at a hospital and most of my coworkers are wonderful. The few that are bad are 80% men. Mostly because of their attitudes and vocal opinions on a lot of things ranging to politics, religion and their view on women. The rest because they just suck at their jobs. I don’t get along well with most guys probably because I’m not a traditional manly man and a lot of guys are just bad at being friends.

Exactly what I’ve been thinking about lately. I hate women so much that I consciously made effort to kill or minimize exposure to them. For example there’s a girl in my friendlist, whenever I see her online my stomach gets dysphoria. It’s gotten to a pretty unhealthy level. Worst part is I don’t even want to work on it. They are generally just fake overall. All of their “kindness” that they rarely show to begin with is just a survival instinct. This is why female friendships don’t last nearly as long as male friendships, the women don’t see the other women as much of a threat so they’re less hesitant to take off their mask.

Their entire basis for love is also based on survival instinct too.

I actually prefer to interact with women and have mainly female friends. They offer fascinating insights.

With age I have to admit that spending prolonged periods of time with them becomes exhausting. Too much insecurity, you have to be careful with subtext otherwise many will get offended, superficiality, passive aggression and lack of communicating what’s bothering them. It’s the lack of humility that bothers me. I’ve noticed most are fully aware of their behavior but still decide to go with it and punish someone else.

Yep. I’m bisexual but I’m in a relationship with the opposite gender - which is a choice given my sexual orientation.

I also have a handful of close friends who are men who I adore. Since I was 16 I’ve always had a mix of male and female friends and genuinely enjoyed both.

I dislike sexism. So I dislike sexist men. I also dislike sexist women, but there seem to be more sexist men than sexist women.

I would say the short answer is yes. I like women, a lot. And not even necessarily in a romantic context. It can be refreshing and important to be around those of the opposite gender.

What I don't like is how women choose to treat men. And how, as men, we are taught that literally everything we do is threatening even down to the way we walk, and how being in the same room as a women is invasive and how we should feel ashamed. How we're expected to do the heavy lifting and always solve problems and take the lead while simultaneously never taking credit for doing so. I hate how easily women can get men locked up on false charges, and how easily they can get custody and alimony. I hate having to hear lectures about "male privilege" from women driving Cadillacs with expensive haircuts when I was literally one missed day at work away from being homeless. I hate how I basically can't have any preferences for women while having to be a perfect human being myself. I hate how, whenever any man in the world does something bad, I'm expected to be ashamed as if I was a part of it. I could go on, but I'm trying not to focus on these things.

This has made me extremely bitter and mistrustful towards women that I don't know. Even the women I do know just think I'm "one of the good ones" and even say so to my face, which is hurtful.

I constantly have to remind myself that I don't hate women, I just hate how women have been taught to act.

I do notice I relate to men more. I really can’t relate to women or at least meet one I relate to so it’s not necessarily dislike it’s more disconnect. Women just aren’t a part of my life and we live in 2 different worlds. Not out of dislike but just not having any common ground.
