Shared paternity and maternity leave. Each parent has 1.5 year to spend.

Rapists and molesters get sent to live on an island with other rapists and molesters. There are two different islands for men and women though, they're provided with shelter and food, they can work there, but they can't leave these islands.
A public list of cheaters. If your partner can provide a proof that you've cheated on them, you get into the list.

I really like the idea of UBI and I think that education and health care should be free, but these things are outside of "the war of sexes", aren't they?

The incidences where child support and alimony being granted will be scaled back and dependent on certain requirements being met by the recipient. -The recipient has to work at least 40 hours a week (either a full time job or multiple part time jobs). -The partner who is at fault for the marriage ending will be the one who suffers more in divorce court (if the breadwinner cheats on the stay at home parent, the sahp should get a payout for breach of the marriage contract and if the sahp cheats they get 50/50 custody and no financial support whatsoever from their ex. -there should be a cap to how much someone can recieve from child support. Getting knocked up by a rich dude shouldnt be a retirement plan unless its within the context of a mutually agreed upon LTR or marriage. The absolute maximum should be a couple thousand dollars. -the marriage should have to last a set amount of time to collect alimony. Id say at least 10 years. You shouldnt be able to marry a dude for a year or 2 then divorce and sponge off of him for the next few decades. -There should have to be a documented career cut for the recipient to be eligible -i could probably think of more ideas for divorce settlements but this is all i can think of off the top of my head right now.

All laws regarding rape and sexual assault are sex- and gender-blind. Males can be considered victims of rape and females perpetrators under the law in places where they currently are not.
To mitigate messy divorces, prenups are integrated into the legal process of marriage. i.e. Both parties agree what, if any, existing assets are considered joint, whether income earned is considered individual or joint, etc.
By declaring himself the father at birth, an umarried dad is entitled to all parental rights/responsibilities/privileges of legal fatherhood even if he isn't married to mom.
Continuing from #1, documents only include sex/gender fields if necessary for medical reasons or housing placement (like at a university). This will hopefully limit sex/gender discrimination in both directions.
Childcare free at the point of service, paid for with tax dollars.

No common law marriages.
Any marriage (or marriage-like) relationship must agree to a prenuptial agreement.
Alimony is limited to 10% of the higher-earner's income or $50k/year, whichever is lower. Similarly, child-support is limited to $25k/year and it can only be used to support the child(ren).
By default, primary custody of children goes to the higher earner.
Allegations against a sexual/romantic partner must be private and are only made public after a conviction is sentenced.

Implement a tax on women who choose to be single mothers to discourage behavior that could negatively affect children. Tax waived if there is proof of DV or withholding of support for the child on the fathers part. This would be applied explicitly to women who had the choice of including the father in their child's life and didn't.

I'd make the child support cap a (flat, not progressive) percentage of income, rather than a fixed amount. And on the flipside, this should be accompanied by a national abortion ban, with only a few exceptions.

Also, although these wouldn't be directly related to gender relations, a lot of the dating problems are downstream of economic problems. So I think curbing inflation through laissez-faire monetary policy, massive tax cuts, and abolishing zoning regulations to allow more affordable housing would be the three biggest things that would almost instantly benefit a large number of people who are struggling. And once they are financially stable, they will be freed up to dedicate more time to pursuits that will improve their dating prospects.

Most of the things I want couldn't be solved by laws. Policies I would like are 1.) Decommidfication of essential services like housing, Healthcare, food and transportation. 2.) Siezing powerplants from private owners and slowly decommissioning them to build nuclear power plants. 3.) Police reform, incorporating social workers into encounters with low-risk. Allowing police to be prosecuted to a higher standard than that of civilians. Investigations of police departments and the da to weed out corruption. 4.) Massive infrastructure reform, making cities more walkable, tightening roads, improving public transit, and an affordable nation wide train system. 5.) A reparations program that involves reinvesting in low income communities in order to improve infrastructure, education and ammenities.

The core issue we currently face is that people crave gender roles but only for the opposite sex. Women enforce huge gender role requirements on men while demanding they be exempt from any at all... and men are unsuccessfully trying to do the same. This isn't particularly good for society and it seems to be devastating for children. So, to my opinion we need to redo gender roles but not by going back and reinstating those of the 1950s, instead by doing those that fit our present situation.

This is probably going to sound harsh but IDC:

1) Rapists, murderers and child molesters will be euthanized if proven guilty with irrefutable evidence. We put down dogs that bite, don’t see how this is any different. I think it’s extremely unlikely for them to be rehabilitated, sorry. They’re a danger to society and it’s too risky to have them running about.

2) Welfare and government benefits will have a very rigorous qualification process and a cap. If you can’t live a life without relying on other people constantly, I’m sorry, but you’re doing something wrong. All of them have to be drug tested as well to receive benefits. Once a month at least. Benefits are meant to help the truly needy/disabled and temporary assistance for anyone that needs it.

3) There should definitely be some kind of income requirement for having kids. Both parents should be able to afford having children. If you can’t afford them you shouldn’t be having them.

4) Healthcare should definitely be reasonable and affordable. The only thing about the US healthcare system is maybe putting a cap on how much companies can charge for certain things, because some of it is definitely outrageous. You’re only really screwed if you don’t have health insurance. That’s how all insurances work though, including car and Home insurance.

5) Housing should be affordable for single income households. I feel like most homes are affordable only to people with dual incomes. I’m not saying give everyone a mansion, but single people shouldn’t have to pay rent forever. People should be able to own their own apartment or condo unit.

6) College and university education is optional, but it shouldn’t be so overpriced. I say put a reasonable cap on that too.

Not a lot of people would like these rules, but if I had my own island/country/society, this is how I would run it. Everyone contributes fairly, and if you can’t then GTFO. This is of course theoretical and I like to believe it would work well, but who really knows. I’m probably crazy. 🤪

1) We as a society seem to have serious disincentives in place when a person causes physical harm to others but we are much more lenient when the harm is more emotional in nature. I would say we need to table laws against gaslighting, cheating, verbal abuse - constant attack on their self worth, belittle you, or humiliate you, seperate you from your support structure and make you depend on them, harass you, be controlling, jealous, paranoid, make false allegations and destroy your reputation, use your kids as a weapon to hurt you. Maybe not jail time, say just have a national registry for cheaters, shame them? maybe force these people to get therapy like anger management classes. But we as a society need to set up proper disincentives for shitty, antisocial behaviour because we can't let hot crazy women and fuck boys get away with this sort of behaviour and feel rewarded. We can have a high standard of evidence and appeal systems, punishment for false allegations but we need something for sure.

2) DNA testing on birth and make paternity fraud rates a matter of public record.

4) Before you have kids, before you marry, have certification courses that they need to finish. Make prenups mandatory for marriage, couples need to plan for divorce, how they will handle finances, let them answer important questions seperately and compare answers (like green card interviews lol). They can disagree on these things but they should have the uncomfortable talk about kids, sexuality, boundaries, privacy, extent of involvement of family, long term plans and goals, etc. They should also be taught about attachment styles, how each gender's sexuality is different, how libido works, deadbedrooms, communication styles, human psychology, the patterns we repeat based on how we were raised.

5) Laws are made for humans to self regulate consciously. It should be explainable in a simple language. Easy to simulate - if I do action X, I will break a law - that should be clear. It is not possible for most people to accurately know the effects of their actions on other humans, so you should not and cannot make it illegal to "make someone feel unsafe", "making someone feel uncomfortable", laws should not be focused on feelings of a person but on actions. You should not put landmines like the current sexual harrasment laws on the path to relationships. Men have the burden of taking initiative and the "good men" will rather not take risks when they are unsure if they might inadvertently make someone uncomfortable. As interactions between people from different cultures increase a lot of people will have shit theory of mind. Remember historically intent has played an important role in justice. There should be a burden to prove intent when you make things like "staring" illegal. We should also understand that men who are socially awkward need to practice to get better at flirting, approaching, making small talk. So I would say make a law that protects men who can show they did not have any malicious intentions but it was all a misunderstanding.

I think if child support payments are going to exceed what it would reasonably cost to support a child, the excess should go into a trust fund in the child's name, which the contributor is the sole trustee of until the child reaches legal age.

If I was focused entirely on dating and relationships it would be these things the other changes that I would make like the 30 hour work week being the new norm are not completely dating and relationship related so I am leaving them out.

Heavy tax on unmarried women to encourage them to stop being so hypergamous and because women wind up costing way more in taxes than they put in currently.

Government dating agencies and matchmakers to help people find partners similar to workforce centers now.
