Each day that goes by I feel more and more bad about my gender, my body image, and myself in general. I struggle to get over the belief that a man talking to a woman he doesn't know in public is creepy. From what I can tell, the single biggest factor in whether or not a girl grows up to have self respect is the presence of a strong, masculine father figure.

The girls in my community that grew up to be for the streets lacked that, their fathers were complete and utter pushovers. Of the nearly 9 million single mother households in the US, a whopping 52.3% of them have never been married. This results in boys who grew up to be weak men and girls who think it's empowering to sleep with 30 dudes and sell pics of their asshole for pocket change.

Before someone chimes in with "why are you blaming the women instead of men for being shitty?" -> nobody likes deadbeats, but low quality men will always exist. If I was going to be pregnant for 9 months I'd be very, very careful what man I choose. And bear in mind, up until very recently (and still in most states + with online resources its doable) the ultimate decision in having a child was in women's hands, as it should be.

Solving societal male issues and achieving equal society is not possible without making empathy gap wide-spread common knowledge: constantly make posts about it everywhere, explain what empathy gap, female in-group bias and waw-effect is. Talk to your real life friends about, call out unempathetic behaviour etc. Ignore all the shaming and trying to silence you, in fact acknowledge it, capture it and publicly ridicule it. Don't argue with them.

That's necessary first step — achieving the scenario where every attack enemies of equality do against you should be in itself clear evidence of your points and you being right and example of empathy gap in action. This is achievable, work towards that. But still that's only the first step. We need to destroy empathy gap and waw-effect and then see what we can do being free of it.

My parents used to take me on basically any business trip and turn it into a vacation when my sister and I were kids. I got to know a lot of their colleagues' kids and though I'm vaguely "in touch" (as in contact info because it's never a bad idea to have that of rich people's kids--networks and all) but never really had any personal connection to any

Well except this one girl. This kind of a side note but when I was a little kid my parents would literally lock me in my room and force me to read stacks and stacks of books to ensure I'd be far ahead of other kids my age. Or else--well I'm not going to say; let's just say I didn't refuse.

At these work events, weddings, parties, etc my dad would literally show off 5 year old me and ask adults to quiz me on capitals of random countries, presidents, periodic table, etc and they'd congratulate him for how smart I was. I even remember one time (was a couple years older) when a prominent politician from a South American country was a guest at one of these events and my dad had me go up to him and talk about his pin and the party he was a member of, history/politics of the party and country, etc (yes my required reading included world events)

Needless to say none of this really makes you popular with kids even if it makes adults think highly of you (or in this case of my dad). In fact quite the opposite. Yet she basically always went out of her way to ensure I was included in any kind of game or activity and when the other kids would make fun of me for being a bit weird for my age/not knowing how to ride a bike she'd defend me harder than I'd defend myself and refuse to let me apologize for being smart (she did not know how I knew as much as I knew)

As we grew up I REALLY liked her but I saw the writing on the wall. She was seriously gorgeous--slim, long blond hair, blue eyes, etc. Not that extroverted as far as partying or anything but bubbly vivacious personality, smart and genuinely nice/pleasant to be around--and I was still fat..and shorter than her and Indian (Indian American but still). Throw in that her parents sold a vacation home in the Alps that was near ours so I also just saw her less (those work events were less frequently full family events at this point and more just conferences for the adults). She did see me one time after losing weight but I basically had just gone from fat to absurdly skinny--and still her height. Haven't texted her in like 4 years at this point but I know she went to a different Ivy than mine as pre law (granted she was a legacy but her stats were within range regardless--definitely smart enough on merit)

So fast forward to today when I get an IG follow request from her and DMs after accepting regarding a couple of my posts. She really sounded so happy and just shocked that I looked so different (I spiked up to 5'10", have been in the gym 3 hours a day/6 days a week except for MCAT week whenever in town on push pull legs to bulk from 118 lbs to 164 without going up a pant size and overhauled my wardrobe entirely with the help of a stylist). She went picture by picture teasing past me. One was me dressed really well courtside in Miami last year for the Celtics Heat Eastern Conference Finals (said I finally stopped wearing trash bags and found clothes that fit), one was me skydiving in the Alps (said she remembers when I was too scared to let her teach me to ride a bike not far from that same glacier), one playing with a captive cheetah in Africa (I used to be scared of her neighbor's cat), one in a local tribe's home village joining in on their drums during a dance (I learned a couple instruments--used to have the rhythm of a slug) etc.

Even said I looked like Hrithik Roshan (he's a Bollywood actor and I don't--but I have heard it before so there are I suppose some surface level similarities) and why I couldn't have become this guy 6 years ago. Oh I should have mentioned but she's big into movies even international ones. Honestly with how whitewashed I've been the past 10 years trying to fit in in my midwestern city she might have seen more Bollywood movies than me. And that she had to show her parents what I am nowadays and they couldn't believe it either.

She is from the NYC suburbs but said she's nearby (like one state) through the weekend and said she absolutely wants to see me before she leaves. Also asked if I was going to the Super Bowl this year to see Josh Allen run over the Eagles (literally the only thing wrong with her is that she's a Buffalo Bills fan which didn't matter when we were kids and the Chiefs and Bills both sucked but nowadays--oh well: no one's perfect) and when I said yes suggested I come to her family's suite.

NGL my bullshit detector was absolutely buzzing at this point. I asked her about some stuff from the past that she'd only know if it was really her and well--it checked out, so we made plans at a fairly nice restaurant roughly halfway between.

Am I wrong for still being skeptical? Or is she just seeing me as a little brother? Again I am a kissless dateless virgin who couldn't pick up a chubby girl 3 social classes below me. Then there's this girl who's prettier, richer and smarter (not to mention white) than every girl I have ever been rejected by—she could easily get a taller, whiter, more jacked guy in our social class. My edge over her in money or intelligence/profession is slight if even existent. She drives a similarly expensive car, can also take as many vacations as she wants, etc. Hell she's almost a year older and in law school (a very good law school no less) not medicine so she likely starts earning her own money sooner. I checked her profile--no relationship or if there is no post/story about it. I even texted my dad to see if her parents are still doing well financially--maybe that was her motivation--but nope: they're fine. Does any pill have an explanation? Do I sound neurotic? Little on edge to even meet her thinking of how my childhood fantasy could basically fall apart—almost want to bail and keep it alive for a day or two more (I won’t though)

Practically, age bias against older women isn't even that much about age than it is about the other factors that correlate with age. I'm doing the public service of debunking PPD women's misrepresentations of the sex lives of a typical single woman in 2022. This time, let's debunk the myth that women bear a tremendous risk of violence when they go on a date with a man. Reposting:

“One study of rape on American college campuses found that 13% of acquaintance rapes, and 35% of attempted acquaintance rapes, took place during a date, and another found that 22% of female rape victims had been raped by a current or former date, boyfriend or girlfriend." 1 in 5 women will experience rape in their lifetime according to the NSRVC.

What are the odds of a woman being sexually assaulted on a date? If women go on a lot of dates, it's not high.

First Google search says that the average single woman dated 25 men in a year in the UK in 2012. Who knows the current number but let's go with 25.

Let's say every woman was single only one year of their life (ridiculous assumption just to prove my point).

100 women, 2500 dates. 1 in 5 women will be raped in their lifetime, so 20 of the women are raped in that year. 35% of rapes happened during a date, so of these 20 women, 7 of them were raped during a date.

That's 7 rapes in 2500 first dates, or a .3% chance. 1 in 350 odds.

"According to the National Safety Council (NSC), an American's lifetime odds of dying in a car crash are 1 in 107 as of 2019."

In my fictional world where women are single for only one year and I apply all of our rape statistics, then a woman is likelier to die in a car crash during her life than to be raped on a date.

If we assume that women go on many more dates than 25 in their life, the odds of being raped on any given date collapses very quickly.

I think the idea AF/BB and to some extent concerns about n-count come from a mismatch in dating experience between men and women.

I was a late bloomer, didn't even get my first kiss till 24. My first girlfriend at 26 was like ready to settle down and have kids and I started feeling that pressure immediately, I was just looking to hang out and have sex like I saw my friends have in highschool/college I wasn't expecting all that. To make it worse, this is the point in my life when I'm just starting to make some money and now I've finally got a girlfriend and she wants to settle immediately. Then through conversation I learn that she's had a significant number of sexual partners in the past and she never really put that kinda pressure on them. It definitely made me feel like she was just using me for money and wouldn't have dated me before the biological clock started ticking.

Now that I'm a little older I can see that we were just at different stages in life. She, having dated around was ready to settle down, and I, having just started dating was not.

I know most people probably don't agree with this, but I would probably have been a better match psychologically with a woman that was too young for me physically.

I think unfortunately when you miss the boat younger you kind of have to accept that there's a phase you have to skip and you should probably try to get over it on your own before you start trying to date.

Reposting because I am seeing the same disinformation about casual sex being posted. There is a now-deleted post on the front page where someone asserts that all women are alike in disliking casual sex (grrr)

In sum, most women have had casual sex at some point; about 20% of young women have engaged in casual sex recently; 50% of casual encounters end in orgasm (I've seen 33% and 40% in other studies); and at least 15% of casual relationships go on to form LTRs.

Let me make clear what that means. If a virgin woman downloads Tinder and hooks up with 6 dudes, odds are that she will get a boyfriend out of it. And in half of the hookups, she won't get a boyfriend but she'll at least get an O. 6 partners is just average, the majority of women will have 5+ partners in their lives (source).

I will repost this until "women hate casual," "women never have casual," and "women get no benefits from casual" posts stop clogging up this sub.

Women Allege Sexual and Physical Abuse by Andrew Tate - This is a bombshell.

I liked Andrew for a lot of his attributes, and while the media is still guilty of twisting the story of recent events, it is looking like he is guilty here. While I still feel as if I don't have enough information, my hypothesis of him "not being guilty" is seeming to be wrong at this point.

Her story is too convincing for me. Maybe I'm wrong and she is lying, but like I said, it's just too convincing. Too graphic, too detailed, too emotional, etc.. This is one of the things I was waiting to see, someone at some point would have had to come out with a story if he had that many people working for him, and here it is.

If this is true, this will leave hundreds of thousands if not millions of people in a terrible place, and while I've never defended him to an extreme extent, I believe I'd be one of those people who were guilty of defending him in some way.

Essentially I believe the chances of this story being fake are slim, it would take such a level of evil for someone to lie about it at this extent that I almost can't believe it. Maybe that is naive to some, but for me personally, it's too convincing.

Q4A: my 2023 resolution is to be more assertive and approach men more. When I was doing online dating I was always the first to suggest a date, and when I get to know a guy socially I’ve gotten a lot better at being the first to make a move, so I’m not a total stranger to kicking things off.

But I still have lots of room to improve meeting guys at bars or other public social spaces — I always feel a bit awkward, and also don’t want to put him in an awkward position, so I guess it’s not knowing the right balance of being friendly but not too abrupt or coming on too strong.

So: for men, how do you like a woman to introduce herself or make that first connection? For women, what has worked for you?

Ok, dumb theory. What if dating for shorter guys actually becomes EASIER down the road. People have been making a big deal over height the past few years with terms like “short king” being thrown around. This whole thing is probably virtue signaling, but I wonder if women will somehow become more conscious of dating tall men. Yeah, there will always be height queens but short men may be less at a disadvantage than before. Women will not want to be seen as “that girl” going for and dating only tall men. I know that attraction can be swayed by cultural and social standards so I found it interesting.

I hate the therapy-ization of language. "Healing", "trauma" but more than anything "gaslighting." Gaslighting refers to a very specific phenomenon of specifically maninpulating someone's reality for the purpose of making them doubt their sanity, so that they become more dependent on you.

It does not mean "someone said something I disagreed with on the internet so they are gaslighting me because it challenges my beliefs/worldview" nor does it mean "my SO said something not nice about me that I disagree with"

The proper course of action when someone doesn't respect your sexual boundaries is to LEAVE THEM, not bite their dick and then continue the relationship. Women don't put a lot of value on respect or morality when choosing men.
